Had the most awesome sandwich there tuesday june 9th 2015, having never eaten there before , i wasnt sure what to have , so i asked the staff what was good, the owner piped up and suggested the pork tenderloin sandwich ( never had one before) it was amazing, number 1 it was huge , number 2 it tasted great. What set the sandwich apart though ( other then those 2 things) was the cheese , i mean the flavor of real cheese , sharp cheddar shredded , the flavor just exploded in my mouth . it was the bomb. I finished off with onion ring , not bad , nothing special though ( i think i was spoiled by how great the sandwich was) and a strawberry malt, very very good. ill be back ( imagine Arnolds accent) Go have a pork tenderloin sandwich !!!!

When I was a kid we would beg our mom to take us to The Pad. Its history in Topeka could be called legendary. It was quite a 50s style drive in restaurant. Things have changed as all things do. The upgrades were needed to keep up with the world. The romance may be altered and it has lost its original charm, but the food is still great.

The Pad style burger is a must have! Get the seasoned curly fries if they havent ran out. They are quite popular. Clean and well stocked salad bar. The staff is mostly young folks and they will all grow up to be polite adults. Someone is always in the dining area keeping the tables and floor clean. Not your average burger joint.

Stumbled upon this joint on our way down to Fort Worth, Texas from Minnesota. Got lucky enough that they were open when we arrived, as this is a weekday lunch place, and Friday dinner only. I feel like a sucker, when I try a restaurants signature dish, but Im glad I did. World famous cheesy taters indeed.

The place is always busy, but they know when to staff up, and they take your order and serve you as fast as possible. Its the best burger in town, and they have lots of choices. My luck with fries has been mostly bad (usually the scraps), but that may just be my dumb luck.

A local institution, what they do; they do well. Special orders go back and come up quickly, the fries and burgers are terrific. Limited evening and weekend hours, closed completely on Sunday. The drive-thru is a bit hard to use, but worth it for a quick bite

I have coming here for 30 years and it hasnt changed a bit. (Which is a great thing.) I recommend anyone thats even close to Topeka stopping in for a burger or one of their many other options. We absolutely love the Pad!

They make the best chicken noodles over mashed potatoes in town! Sure wish I could talk them into serving this dish on the weekends because Im never in Topeka on Thursdays when they serve them as the lunch special.

Really good barbecue! But you have to be there early for supper. When he opens in the evening, they run out of ribs pretty quickly. The other meats are also great and are a good substitute if the ribs are gone.

As a Topeka native I have to say I am ashamed I didnt venture into The Pad until my third decade. This diner is classic and the double cheeseburger with onion rings makes choosing lunch in NoTo easy.

Outstanding burger, pork tenderloin, and fries. Try "The Pad" burger when you come. However, my wife indicated the womans restroom needed some work. Her chicken sandwich was hot and delicious!

Super friendly girl at the counter. First time here. She told us to try the Rocket Meal. Hamburger was perfect and fries were good. Clean, Fast and friendly service. 10/10 would stop again.

The food was better in the past. I do like how they help the community and give young people a place to work. I recommend trying it if you have not been there. Try the cheese cubes.
