First thing we noticed was the strange smell however it wasnt over powering or gross. The staff was very friendly, and the manager even dropped by because it was our 1st visit. The meso soup was good, and the salad dressing was interesting and flavorful although it was a tad oversauced. Recommending to you to ask for it on the side. For the calimari, the rings were large and breaded very uniformly. I would absolutely recommend them, and the mango salsa was delicious. I ended up putting it on everything. The rolls were flavorful and full of sushi. My photo of them is VERY orange because I ordered extra spice. The Bento Box came with an array of selection and I was a little jelous I didnt order this. The California rolls were on point with the crisp refreshing cucumber. Shrimp were perfectly done. The scallops may have been cooked just ever so slightly wet, however there was no shortage of flavor and they were awesome none the less, sauce texture and all. The lunch specials on top of this great food makes this a great place to grab a meal. We barely spent $30, and left with a doggy-bag. We will return.

Decided to try because of the great reviews and the fact that Sakura Tokyo on 290 is now closed on Mondays. Drove 20 min out of the way to a meekly decorated, frumpy place with 0 customers, and this was during dinner time. I was welcomed nicely however, and ordered the spicy tuna roll, pepper tuna roll, miso soup, and vegetable tempura with asparagus. the miso soup had good flavor--plenty of seaweed but had absolutely no tofu. the batter on the vegetable tempura was so stale though that chewing it made my jaw nearly seize up; the spicy tuna roll had an off-putting sweet flavor and was unseasoned; and the pepper tuna roll looked and tasted so terrible that I didnt finish it for fear of getting sick. I write this now about 15 min after eating and can say that from this initial experience, Ill never be back. the only reason this place gets 2 stars is because of the decent service, and because I got a drink on the house for waiting for my takeout order. My recommendation: go to Sakura if you want the best tasting sushi in Cypress that wont break your wallet

The place is small nothing fancy. The experience was not very welcoming, you couldnt tell staff from the customers. I tell myself to check orders all the time but I never needed to until now. Missing an order so they couldnt help with that. After getting home, the sushi was awful. We ordered a California roll ($6), caterpillar roll ($8), and crunch roll ($7). Pricing wasnt bad but the taste was awful. California was imitation crab with mayo, caterpillar was missing eel, and the crunch had stale tempura. Couldnt eat the edamame so I cant say. I will say I have had better sushi in the middle east. The reviews had me fooled so I thought Id share. Just find some place better.

First time I have been here since the new ownership. My first impression when I walked in was a bad smell. Maybe they mopped the floor with some bad water or something. Anyway, probably a fluke. The service and sushi was excellent! Two very polite and attentive waiters offered suggestions and made custom sauces for me to try with my two rolls. You know how some sushi places skimp on the fish portions? Well, not here. The portions of pepper salmon and tuna were very generous and fresh. I will be coming again. Please fix the smell though!

My family and I go eat at this restaurant almost every time we get together. Sam is very knowledgeable about the cuisine and always has quality food. Excellent presentation. I like the relaxing atmosphere. I always get miso soup, Unagi Sushi and A "New York Roll" Which is their version of a shaggy dog. Quality fish- tastes and smells fresh. Good place for a date or birthday parties. They have good hot tea that they personally bring over from Taiwan. mmmmmmmmmm!

We are lucky to have this restaurant on this side of town. I urge with the upmost confidence that if you eat at Ginza once you will make a point to return to ensure that this restaurant succeeds. Fresh! Melt in your mouth sushi. Friendly and prompt service. Reasonably priced. You will feel as if you are a part of their family. And its BYO... Saki, wine, beer. A date place, a family place, a business lunch. Go!!! Trust yourself.

Ginza is a new neighborhood staple! Incredibly fresh sushi, wonderful staff, and lots of off the menu creations make this a must try! After the first visit, you will also be singing their praises. Ive paid much more, for much less desirable sushi downtown. Never again will I waste time driving, when Ginza is so close! There is even a reward card, AND they deliver. Cannot say enough positive things about this restaurant.

Excellent. First visit tonight. Chicken teriyaki was well cooked and very tasty. Sashimi 15 piece very fresh and flavorful esp fatty tuna! Miso soup excellent. Salad a little overdone with sauce. Note: no alcohol license yet, but appears to be BYO. One improvement required - booths are uncomfortable and booth units move around. Needs to be fixed / replaced.

This is an excellent neighborhood restaurant with an extensive Sushi menu and several choices for those who prefer their seafood be cooked. Try the off the menu Lafayette Roll - a tasty, crunchy sushi roll topped with cooked spicy crawfish. Im not a sushi fan & this keeps me coming back week after week. You may also BYOB (beer & wine)and most tables do so.

Excellent food and service. The quality of the fish is prime and you get a proper proportion of rice and fish. Sushi is made fresh with love. Chef always goes out of the way to give a little complementary treat. Best sushi in the area. Try the seafood soup and the teriyaki ia also great.

Hidden gem restaurant with some of the freshest sushi in the area. Staff is very courteous and extremely professional where they treat you like a regular, even when its your first time there. The Sashimi Deluxe should be an award winning dish with its presentation and decor.

Great place to eat, I stopped by for lunch.. the staff was friendly, service was fast, and the food was awesome! Youve got to try the New York Roll with avacado, great stuff! I paid twelve bucks for two rolls, prices are not bad at all!

Stopped in on a whim with my son. I had the Crunch and New York Roll. Both were very fresh and well done. My son ordered Lemon Pepper Shrimp. I tried it and it was soooo good, I ordered 2 extra to take home to the family.

Nice place, very clean and good atmosphere. The lobster ragoon (crab puffs) were very good, but a little small. Overall was a nice place and friendly staff. Prices are reasonable as well.
