Upon walking in, there was a staff member with ear buds in his ears walking around singing with no regards to guests. The host was not at the podium. Our waitress was okay, not very attentive and did not engage the kids. I ordered the double dipped french toast, the current special (7/31/15), and was sorely disappointed. The restaurant was dirty, paint missing on walls, the doors and walls were filthy, cracks in the walls in the ladies room. When my son flushed the urinal it began to overflow. Very disappointing experience. The gentleman at the cash register even took our survey reciept when we checked out.

Today was the only time I have been disappointed in this restaurant. The waitress was confused about which table was hers, then she admittedly forgot to turn in our order. When ours did arrive, sandwich and fries were greasy and egg order was not right. Waitress said make sure to tell them 10% discount. I did not finish my meal and while I realise mistakes can be made, as I have waitressed in the past, when I told person at register it was worst meal ever had here. She made no attempt to rectify other than the 10 percent.

Pretty standard IHOP and a good place to get filled pancakes at any hour of the day. We find the folks here are very friendly and are ready to provide anything that involves eggs and/or carbs at any time! Havent tasted the chicken and waffles - recommend you go to a chicken and waffles place to try that - Flava-Flav has a place in Clinton that may be better for it. I bet Flav cant shake a stick at the breakfast sampler though! Worth going when you want reliably good breakfast!

High fructose corn syrup is what my buddies mom would feed them because she had 13 kids to feed and they were too poor to afford actual maple syrup. The fake sugar ruins pancakes and waffles and tastes like rotten fruit it doesnt taste sweet it just tastes rotten.. Some of the food they serve now at Ihop is really over processed and bland tasting. Two stars is way more than they deserve

I went to IHOP early this morning to meet a buddy from it of town who was here visiting. Restaurant hours says they were open at 6 am. I arrived 6:20. I walked in and no one was there. After waiting for a little while one of the cooks came out and said the server didnt show up. My friend and i had to leave to find another restaurant. I was frustrated because it wasted my time.

I was promptly seated and attended to, and my waiter was outstanding: very courteous and never left me waiting for anything (whether it was advice on the menu or a preemptive coffee-carafe refill). The food was IHOP-delicious--Ill admit, since my visit, Ive caught myself daydreaming about those Red Velvet pancakes on more than one occasion... I will definitely be coming back.

I was really hungry and looking forward to taking my family here for one last good meal for the drive back to Texas so we got off the hwy and ventured down these small roads just to eat at IHOP but we got there and it was closed. Looked like they had been closed for hours and they were supposed to be open for 30 more minutes. Very disappointed!

I frequently drive from the east side of Iowa City to the west side of Coralville to have breakfast at I-Hop. The food is delicious and nicely presented, the wait staff is friendly and very attentive, the dining room is clean and nicely appointed, and the price is right. Its a great way for me to start the day and well worth the drive.

I have been to this one twice. The first time was fairly good. This time I went in at 10:30 and it wasnt very busy. I was sat down quick but then sat there for 15+ minutes. Staff members were standing around talking. I was never asked what I wanted to drink or anything. Got tired of waiting so I left and went somewhere else to eat.

Food was ok, but the place was filthy. Many tables still had dirty dishes on them. The salt and pepper shakers looked like they hadnt been cleaned in months. The salt was YELLOW. Syrup containers were dirty. The coffee pot on our table looked like it had seen better day. The bathroom was dirty and had graffiti.

This restaurant is very cozy and has amazing options. The waiters and waitresses are well mannered and there for anything you might need them for. I would recommend this to anyone. The only down side is that they do not have a very broad selection in their menu. No foods from abroad.

Inconsistent from one visit until the next. 30 minutes to get a meal when there were only 7 tables seated in the entire restaurant. Server disappeared for 10 min intervals or more. And after waiting for so long for food, it wasnt hot. Go to Village Inn or Perkins. Youll thank me.

We were the only ones in there when we walked in (had a gift card). Went for dinner but ordered an omelette with strawberry cheesecake pancakes - pretty great! I would probably order something besides the omelette next time though. I dont go to IHOP very often

Waited for 1/2 hour for the food. It was 6:30am Sunday March 19. The Waitress was talking all the time with cooks. Music was loud, food came out had my pancakes and eggs, bacon then 10 minutes later my toast. Very disappointed. I love IHOP but not this one.

For my first Ihop experience it was pretty bad. We waited an hour for crepes and pancakes and a RUDE manager insinuated we wanted free food for an hour long wait. Poor customer service and would not recommend.

The service was very slow. Our waitress was not very mannered, rude. She also forgot several items ordered, the food was cold. Also terrible management, because the lack of efficiency the waitress had.

I really, really hate it when a waiter or waitress calls me "Dear" and/or "Honey." It is so patronizing from a person that you do not know. Managers should make sure it doesnt happen.

First time having Ihop and I can honestly say its not worth it, my food was cold and the cup that I got had lipstick smudged on it! If you want good warm food go to Village Inn.

Staff is very friendly. This is a great place to go after a football game if you are using the train. By the time you are done eating the traffic has died down.

Wait staff was friendly, however silverware was spotted, dinner plate was badly chipped, ham was very salty, and rest of meal was average at best.
