Haven"t Been to KFC in a while. Decided it sounded good for lunch today. I ordered a #3 meal which is two of the small chicken sandwiches a fry and a drink. I ordered the sandwiches with no pickle because I dont like the taste. When I returned back to work and bit into the sandwich it had a pickle taste to it. So I pulled it apart and looked. They actually pulled the sandwich apart after it was made and took the pickles off. This made me loose my appetite. The sandwich was unwrapped pulled apart but the bread was soggy with pickle juice. I would have preferred if they forgot to make it without then to have someone pull it apart and handle the food.

The place looked very run down, weeds growing everywhere landscaping or lack of was overgrown. The paint on the outside was the only thing new. Front door glass was cracked and taped up. Walked inside a guy stood there and stared and I asked if it was open (due to nobody sitting down and nobody at the counter and no food anywhere to be seen) he gave a blank stare. He said the buffet wasnt open but they were open and this is at 2pm. The bathroom had no door on it and lights were off. We walked out and went down the street to Abelardos. All around bad experience for KFC. They should make it look like its open from the outside to get customers.

Honestly, I cant even compliment on what the food tastes like, because every time I walk in, their awful service turns me off and I dont even order anything. I was waiting at the register for 5 minutes for somebody to help me, and when I finally got somebodys attention, I just told them to forget about it and I walked out. I wouldnt recommend this particular franchise to my worst enemy. KFC as a chain is not at fault here. The fault lies in the poor selection of hires and the utter lack of care put into their franchise here in Ames. Im not saying everybody there should be fired, but most of them should.

Not easy to reach, not in phone book, when you get the number from the internet its not answered because of the high volume. Then you are instructed to reach the manager at another number, which just happens to be incorrect or no longer in service. Making it nearly impossible to order chicken for any occasion. I guess Hy-Vee makes a pretty good fried chicken, and they answer their phones there. Dont know if this is just the store in Ames, Iowa - or just the overall Customer Service of the Corporate KFC. Not a Fan anymore! They need a "service sucks" for rating.

I believe the franchise owner is letting this place go so he can claim a loss on his taxes. This place is falling apart. The drive through is so rutted you worry re how the bottom of your car will fair. They actually gave me a piece of chicken that must have been in the warmer all day it was so dried out. It was also crispy not original. When I called all the offered was a replacement at now cost but when youve had bad food do you really want a replacement of more bad food.

I cant believe this place is allowed to be open. I visited this KFC on 12/9/13 for the first time. No one was there at the time, I thought they might have went belly up. The windows were all fogged up and it looked odd. When I walked in, come to find out the place had no heat, they had space heaters all around the restaurant. celling tiles werent properly placed so it looked like a few were falling. I wont go back to this location.

Food is always good but the service is awful. Went through the drive-through, the lady told me it will be faster to come inside so I did. The manager yelled at that drive through lady for telling me to come inside! When I finally ordered, I got two meals, both with sides. They only gave me my two main dishes and I never got my two sides which I realized when I got home. This was my first and only experience here.

The place is just plain disgusting; the interior looks very dirty. The service is subpar. First off, I ordered a meal, and they didnt have biscuits which is normally included in the meal. Instead of letting me know, they gave me mashed potatoes as a replacement without even asking me AND I hate mashed potatoes. I didnt find out until I got home...total waste of money.

Horrible customer service. We left and didnt order. Menu said we could pick three sides. Woman cut us off "NO you dont get to pick your sides, pay attention to what the TV commercial says" Um excuse me? Sorry not everyone in the world cares to pay attention to some commercial. If you dont wanna be nice to customers fine, ya just lost money.

I have honestly had to way over an hour in the drive thru with only one car before me. I would have loved to get out of line, and drive away, but you cannot because of how tiny the drive thru road is. They have good food like all KFC, but the service should get worse than a one star, and if I could rate it lower I most definitely would.

The four of us went here for the KFC buffet. Upon entering the restaurant theres already a line of customer waiting to pickup their food. They warned us that they only accepted cash since their credit card machine is broken. Overall the dining experience was okay, although theres a problem here and there but nothing major in my opinion.

This seems to be a poorly-managed location. I placed a very simple order that they had difficulty with. They were out of Pepsi and when I asked for a bottle of water instead, I got a warm bottle of water. When they finally gave me my order they did not bother to give me any napkins; apparently those are special request items.

Worst, Worst, and Worst I bought 3 pieces of grilled chicken and 3 pieces of crispy chicken. This is my first time to KFC. I should have asked thigh and leg. They gave me only wing and breast. Even, the size of grilled wing was very small and it looks cooked several hours ago. I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND this store.

They are slowly improving. The place used to look run down, old, dirty, dimmly lite. They seem to be slowly sprucing up the place but still have work to do like the parking lot, crack glass door, chip scratch paint. Those little hings that can make a big difference.

This place looks dirty. You can see the dirt all over the walls. I cant believe the conversations coming out of the employees mouths right in front of customers. I know it is what it is. I didnt expect it to be this bad. They want to raise minimum wage? LMAO

Floors are very slippery. Mac and cheese is so watery you cannot even eat it. Dead flies everywhere and the bathrooms look like they have not been cleaned in years. & what the hell is up with the paper plates? Please avoid this place at all cost.
