Pia Urban Cafe hosted a "Taste of Puerto Rico" day. Would love to know how it tasted, but we waited 35 minutes and still could not order any food. The girl at the counter would not take any orders because the cook staff was apparently far behind on food prep. As there is not a chance to have Puerto Rican food very often in Indianapolis, we waited patiently while other customers arrived and left without being served. Finally, after watching more than one customer complain that their order was wrong, we decided to leave and go to a real restaurant. A 30+ minute wait without even being able to order is completely unacceptable. There is a need for a restaurant in Indianapolis with real Puerto Rican cuisine. Unfortunately.....this aint it. Also, the girl behind the counter might think about wearing pants next time, rather than skin tight black see-through lycra leggings. Nobody needs to see what kind of underwear the restaurant staff is wearing.

Pia is a cute little gem in Indianapolis. My espresso was top notch and so was my sandwich. To top it off, they are doing great things for the community. Owned by a Puerto Rican, you will find some great authentic foods mixed in with local vendors. A must try!

I had a breakfast sandwich with a coffee. It was very reasonable and everything came from local suppliers. There is an art gallery in the same building. I am looking forward to trying more of their food and coffees :)
