I order lobster mac and cheese because the waitress said it was one of their favorite dishes. I did not like it so she took it back and I ordered some jerk chicken wings that was dry but I tried to eat those they were a little spicy but Im sure thats how its supposed to be. When we got my bill they did not take off the lobster mac and charge me for it. I question the bill and the manager said they were a small mom and pop business and that I would have to pay for it anyway even though I didnt like it. They did not return the dish so that I could take it home or give it to someone else. They just told me I had to pay for it anyway. So my suggestion to anyone if you order food you better like it because theyre going to make you pay for it regardless. The experience was horrible tonight. I called to talk to the manager after we left the restaurant and told him that he did not like how he handled this unpleasent experience with the food. That he kept the food and then force me to pay the bill. Before I could finish explaining he hung up on me. I called back to find out if he hung up on me or was it a signal problem and the lady who answered the phone said yes he hung up on me because he didnt want to hear me lecture him. This is a Wow!!! No food!! Force payment Mom and Pop restaurant. This was all over a $10.00 meal. That he is now going to loose 2 repeat customers. Bad management! !!!!

Me and my crew was on an hour lunch and we smelled the food from the outside so we stopped in. When we sat down this lady eating next to us started talking to us she turned out to be the waitress. I told her it was my first time and she did not help me with finding out what I would want. Most of the menu didnt explain the meals or what was in them. Really your going to pay 7 dollars for just bread and meat? She was very rude when one of us asked for lettuce and tomato. She took a long time to take our order after she finished eating and helping a couple that came in after us. So we already was short on time. We decided we would go somewhere else that would provide faster service at this point. Seriously there was no one in there we shouldnt have been still waiting 30 mins for them to just start making out meal. The waitress got an attitude real quick when I said we are just paying for the drinks and that we didnt want the food. For that you dont get a tip. If your going to waste our time dont get upset when we waste yours. We was freaking hungry and didnt want to rush eating the food because you was being lazy.

Decor, theme and lay out of restaurant was great. Quant comfortable spot. Intimate beer bar. Ample food and nice display on the plate. Fair prices, friendly wait staff with great customer service. I didnt go during any live performance so I cant review on that. It would be a 5 star if the food was more authentic in taste and preparation. My family is of West Indian descent and we have many Caribbean friends. Plus, we all cook. It was very obvious that the food was prepared to suit American taste. The meats didnt taste as if it was seasoned fresh and marinated the traditional West Indian way. Kind of dry and tasteless. The rice tasted like boxed Uncle Ben instead of whole bagged rice. Also, not to flavorful for the typical Caribbean tongue. The food came out faster than any Caribbean food I ever had. Yet it was ample and taste "Ok". The Patties and Plantain were the most authentic in taste and the most pleasing to us. The establishment I guess is doing its best to cater to the surrounding community. Which seems to love them. So "Big Ups!" to them for that. I wish them continued success.

Was seated after a few minutes waiting which wasnt bad. Was not offered a menu. After a few minutes of the waiter and waitress passing us by, I flagged one down and asked for a menu. We ordered beverages, wrong beverages were brought and it took a while to bring the right ones. Two beef patties were ordered and they were not hot. Oxtail entrees were ordered and when they arrived, they were room temperature. I have never ordered an oxtail entree and only received two pieces of oxtail on my plate. The food wasnt even good enough to ignore the disappointing service or room temperature food. The entertainment for the night was not what I was expecting for a Caribbean restaurant

My fiancé had the jerk chicken meal with rice & beans & cabbage for $12. Although the portions were small for the price, the food was DELICIOUS! The eccentric atmosphere and laid back vibe was perfect for relaxing. I had the jerk "chicken" mac which had practically no chicken in it and was average at best. All in all the place is over priced but the jerk chicken plate was taste phenomenal. There were also 3 unattended, misbehaved children that were loud and unruly. That was a negative

Its really good. First, they have two fantastic beers made specially for them--a Pineapple Shandy and one flavored with Coconut. Almost every part of the meal hit a great note, the music selections were nice, the salad was fresh--the plantains were out of this world, and the jerk bbq sauce was excellent They do a fantastic job with their chicken--few BBQ joints Ive ever been to nailed the flavor and slightly firmer texture that I had here

Not PLEASED at all!!! The place smelled great when I walked in so I just knew the food had to be good. Guess again, they charged me $12 for a Curry Goat dinner but gave me a kids portion. On top of that the goat meat was tough not tender. I bought a "under" cook beef patty and Jerk Chicken dinner also, the portion was decent but I never paid the same price for jerk chicken and curry goat. I will not be returning.

That beer was amazing i will definitely be back again and again service was great!

Ordered the Jerk hamburger to go. Wait staff was not friendly, didnt even look me in the eye when presenting my order. Didnt ask if everything was OK with it. Meal was $10.00 for single 1/3lb patty with French fries. Burger was overly dense and lacked flavor. Jerk sauce lacked any punch or heat to it. Fries tasted and looked like frozen crinkle cut fries from a bag. Dont think Ill return.

As a person from the Caribbean I found the food unauthentic and careless. Plantains were not ripe and "conch" fritters were an alien version, flat and coated with an unidentifiable goop. The only saving grace was a cute and funny guy at the counter. Dont waste your time...go to Carmel and eat food cooked by people from the Caribbean at Jamaican Reggae Grill!!!
