Patachou has been my go to for awesome breakfast with a cozy cafe atmosphere for more than 15 years. Definitely worth a 5 star review. The only bad experience Ive ever had at this location is with a server named Samantha who insisted on upcharging us for everything. (added an extra coffee because my S.O. wanted me to try the blueberry blend, so I had a sip out of their cup... really?) She also charged double for extra avocado in my omelette which pushed the price up to $14.85 (from the usual $10.95...) Not that big of a deal, but she also threw an attitude when we asked for a bigger to-go cup for coffee. Just seemed like she was trying to skimp as much out of us as she could to pad the check, without providing good service (she checked on our table a total of two times, and someone else brought out our food). However, this was the first time we saw her at the restaurant so she might be new staff requiring training, but from this visit we will definitely request another server if we end up sitting in her section. All in all, 1 bad egg out of 30 or more visits to Patachou isnt enough to bring down the rating, so if youre in the area this place is definitely worth a try.

Although it can be a little "cozy" (read: a bit cramped, but, I mean, what hip brunch place is not?), they have some really good food. Their "Broken Yolks" breakfasts are flavorful, come with a lot of bread of the side (like, thick bread with a lot of butter and delicious jelly), and fill you up nice :). You can get your coffee as soon as you walk in (thanks!), and you can get seated in a reasonable amount of time. They have some tasty, real food going on, but my omelette was just OK last time I went; it was a special-of-the-day thing they had going (could hardly taste the Chipotle). Ill stick to the broken yolks and sandwiches. Another person ordered one off the menu and that was tasty, so maybe there was a reason mine was off the menu. But that was an exception. Go there, order some brunch, drown in good coffee, hip it up, leave with a full belly.

Meh, we went a peak brunch hour 1030 on Sunday, we sat outside. Our waitress was in hurry to "un-load" us. She had couple tables on regular customers. She did not offer us drinks, we had to ask 2x to place drink order. Service was very very slow, due to her standing and talking to her regulars. We finally were able to put our food order in. Food was okay but COLD (nothing worse than cold eggs and toast); again due to her talking (not working) but talking with friends/regulars. Some dropped off our food and we did not see her again, till our bill came. I had seen her walk our way twice and no joke, run the other way. We sat for 20 mins waiting for our bill. We might come back, but most likely not. Food was okay, nothing special.

Poor drink menu, limited food menu, very crowded on both visits (wife enjoys the salads). Had to wait 35 minutes for a table. Had to wait 10 minutes In an actual line for the sex neutral bathroom. If it was less expensive and easier to get in it would be good as a cafe to just get a light lunch. The people were great there. Big props to the staff for being super friendly. Like above and beyond. If the more hipster environment and vegan leaning thing is worth the wait and money to you give it a shot. Again my wife loves it. Not my thing but admittedly there is a lot of good to go along with the things that are not my preference.

The food was excellent, however the service was slow - seemed as if servers were focused on serving larger parties. I went for breakfast on a Friday morning just to check it out and a few parties (of 2 or more) which arrived after me were served before me and were cashed out before me (as I waited for server to return and cash me out). The staff was pretty friendly once I was served and again the food was excellent, but it took a while for them to take my order. Maybe it was a fluke. I will return again for breakfast to see if the same thing ocurrs. I will change my rating if I receive better service.

You want breakfast? Theyve got breakfast. And some of the best darn breakfast in the city. Stop wishing that you could go to town on a perfectly golden waffle, airy on the inside, yet with an insanely crispy exterior. Wake up and make your dreams a reality. Not a fan of the most perfect breakfast food ever created? Thats cool. Theyve got some pretty insane broken egg sandwiches too. Finally, give your gallbladder a workout with a half orders each of sausage and bacon and wash it all down with the best Bloody Mary on this side of 65.

The omelet is very good, and it comes with a bowl of fruit and buttered bread. I sat at the counter, and the service was quick and prompt. Saturday lunches appear to be very, very busy, so be prepared to wait. The dishes are primarily mainstream. However, I noticed that there was a Cuban breakfast, so Ill probably try that next time. Prices for breakfast appear to be about $10/person, which could be improved. Altogether, I highly recommend this local restaurant!

The food is good, but expect little to no service between 2pm-3pm. Even though the restaurant was emptying (it closes at 3pm), we struggled to find a server to seat us, or even take our order. It took 20 minutes to get a chicken salad sandwich. I recommend passing Patachou and heading north to their little sister restaurant located on the canal in Broadripple - Petite Chou. The food is much better there and they will actually serve you.

Nice atmosphere, good location, and I enjoyed me food. I wasnt, however, really impressed by anything in particular. Good for a brunch with friends, if youre okay with waiting a little while for a table. I was pleasantly surprised that for a party the size of mine (about 10 people) we only had to wait about 20 minutes. I figured we would have to wait longer since they were so busy. Prices are a little high, but that is typical of the area.

Awful service. I called in to place a pick up order and employee left me on hold indefinitely. She could easily have said something like "Sorry, were not taking to go orders at this time." After waiting about ten minutes on hold, I hung up, waited and tried to call back to complain. More than ten minutes later, I again tried to call back and the line was still engaged and my original call completely disregarded.

Best Breakfast in Indy! Pros: Cafe Patachou has fresh, healthy, and delicious options for breakfast. Lunch is also an option. Mimosas and the Simple Broken Yolk is an excellent choice and my go to morning meal here. Their Bloody Mary is excellent if that is more your taste. Cons: Sometimes service is a little slow and lax. Especially during busy times. Most locations are packed on the weekends.

I can only comment on the omelets since thats all I ever get when I go there. The omelets are out of this world, pair with Bacon, and cinnamon Texas Toast and you have an awesome breakfast. They are always crowded so expect a wait; however, usually not to long. The tables are on the small side especially for families, but the food makes it worth it.
