The food here is decent, but Im going to share something that people may not want to hear about: the truth. What happens here when mistakes are made? Once a friend patronized the diner for lunch. They parked their car in the back and when leaving, the car had been damaged from a large metal door at the back of the restaurant. Coincidentally, the person who caused the damage happened to be the owners grandson, so of course, they didnt want to take responsibility for what happened. Believe it not, thats not the worst part. My friend explained what happened, but when his wife tried to speak, the owner told her to shut up because shes a woman and he cant listen to women. Sometimes its only under duress that ones truest feelings make themselves known. For any woman or man that knows a woman who is planning to patronize this business or seek employment here, I would like to raise awareness of their true feelings toward women.

This place is my favorite!! If I could give it 10 stars I would!! Not only is the owners Eleni and Mike are amazing people!! We have a business not to far from checkers and we order lunch for our employees on Fridays and love to order from here! The food is amazing carry out or dine in! The first time I went in there after years of not going I was hesitant because of the previous owner but the minute I walked in I felt totally different! The food was outstanding and the ow era were so warm and fuzzy! I HIGHLY recommend this place for breakfast and lunch! No matter what you get its good! This is a real stand up place and I love that it is family owned! You just dont get that good service now a days but I promise you at checkers you will!!

Up in Schaumburg for an appointment and happened upon Checkers Pancakes. Fun atmosphere, like a 50s diner, the kids thought that was great. Warm welcome from the staff, seated right away, coffee and water brought promptly. Our waitress Beverly treated us like old friends, and took the time to talk with us. Breakfast, and the lunch my youngest ordered was fantastic. I dont believe Ive ever had a hotter meal served than here. The owner came by to greet and ask us how things were, as did the waitress, often enough to be satisfactory. Next time were in the neighborhood, well definitely make another stop.

First we got there at almost 1 p.m when the waitress asked us what type of drinks we wanted she completely ignored my daughter until I told her when she came back that she wanted an orange juice. The food was awful & it tasted spoiled, you barely get any syrup for the pancakes & the drinks are so small they charged my daughters drink as a medium when they gave me a 5 oz small cup for her drink. We never got refills for any of the drinks.The service was horrendous & after 7 mins that we started to eat the waitress comes & gives us our check. I will never go back there it was a waste of time

Walked in on a Saturday morning at 11:15 am, got our table right away and coffee. We were sitting there for a while without anyone approaching us. After some time, feeling ignored, we decided to leave. On our way out I talked to the manager, letting her know that I have never encountered anything like this before and we were about to take our business somewhere else. I am glad that she convinced us to stay. We LOVED the food, portions are huge, priced well and the service after all was great. We will definitely go back again. Oh and the food was on the house!!!

Second visit in the last couple months. Everything is fairly clean, the people are nice, service is adequate. The food is nothing to go crazy about. It is actually pretty mundane. I actually forgot making the previous visit until I saw that my phone was logged into their WiFi. Nonetheless, ordered buckwheat pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, juice, coffee. All pretty average. Its food. Nothing that would remind me that I was there. Third coffee of the day. It gets third place.

My family and I frequent this place and we cant say enough good stuff about it. For lunch I go with the Athenian Salad with the chicken (marinated amazingly). For breakfast weve had it ALL with zero disappointments. Every meal weve had here has been a winner. I bring business luncheons here and theyve all agreed that it was a perfect pick. Great food, great service,affordable priced, super friendly, super clean and cheery atmosphere.

Been here a lot. food is pricey but all very good. I prefer there lunches, wraps and sandwiches over they breakfast. cream of spinach or cream of broccoli soup are fantastic. the older gentleman i believe to be the owner, and he does not come off as nice or freindly. Great food, not the best prices or service. the staff is great the owner just always looks grumpy.

Awesome place to eat. If you would like a blast from the past visit Checkers Pancake House. The décor in this place reminds me of a 50s diner. The food is great. Busy on weekends. Staff nice. Older building, restrooms could use improvements. Wheelchair accessible building.

Great place to go! I recently moved my office to Schaumburg and fell in love with Checkers. People very friendly and the food is amazing. Breakfast or lunch, you cannot go wrong here. If one thing stands out over excellent is their soup! Have to get the soup!!

Place was great. Their coffee was good and the cup never went empty. Not sure if they remodel recently but the place was unbelievably clean. Friendly staff. Good food. 1 egg gets you 2 yolks.
