We wanted to try this place as a meeting point for grandparents, moms and dads and grandkids who lives 2 hour drives apart. Since it was during the school holiday time and right at the lunch hour, the place was quite crowded, but the staff was very pleasant and helpful and service was just great. The train circling the top of the restaurant wall was entertaining for our 2, 3 and 4 year old boys. The food was surprisingly very, very good. We really appreciated the high quality of the food and the service. It was a good meeting place, just East of I-355 and just West of Lemont Rd. But, I wished they would have had a sign out by 75th Street, because the internet maps showed the pointer at 75th Street, when it is actually about 6 stored North of Toys R Us in the Grove Shopping Center, not visible at all from 75th St., so we all passed it up and had to call the restaurant to finally find it. Especially impressed with the pleasantness of the staff. We sat in the separate "party" room as there was immediate seating there. Lots of people were waiting for the cournter seats where the foods would be delivered in baskets atop flatbed cars of a huge model train. The boys were happy to be able to push the buttons on the train display at the front of the restaurant and to pull the cord to blow the train whistle by the door.

Wow what an experience. We took our 2-year old here and it was a great atmosphere for him. Lots of distractions and screaming children to drown him out. We waited 15 mins and he was occupied with the train set so it got off to a great start. We got seated in the center where the train delivers your food. The waitress was unpleasant but if I worked in that atmosphere (more kids than adults), I would be as well. Food was pretty bad. My rueben was really good, but the rest of it was awful. I got a very small fruit cup full of the saddest looking fruit Ive ever seen. The poor pineapple needed to be taken out behind the woodshed and put out of its misery. Another of the "side" options was a bag of ruffles - classy. My son was nibbling on the chicken fingers and looked at me and said, "its yucky." I could hardly control my laughter because hes never said that about any food in his life. I of course had to try given that review and I paid dearly for it as the interior of my mouth was eroding for a good hour afterward from the high concentration of artificial sodium flavoring. If you are looking for a place to entertain your child, this is a good spot because theres lots of entertainment but the food is pretty bad.

Much better than it needs to be. I was pleasantly surprised at how well prepared the food was. This train themed restaurant features a layout with an array of buttons that the kids can press to start the trains, make a plane orbit a pylon, etc. There is a train that circles the restaurant near the ceiling, and a train loop around the counter that delivers your food. My two year old girl loved it. I loved the fact that my fish and chips were a very well prepared array of cod chunks, perfectly battered. Really, good enough that I would have been happy if I had received it at a seafood restaurant. The stools are a little short for adults to sit on, but they are removable for high-chairs. Friendly staff, quick service. All in all, a place that strives to be a good experience for all, and not simply pander to the four year old crowd.

We had such a wonderful time at All Aboard Diner! We chose to celebrate my sons 3rd birthday party there with 8 other 3-4 year olds and their parents. It was a BLAST!!! Adults and kids were entertained by the decor/games and stuffed on the tasty food. the buffalo chicken tenders and chopped salad were great, I was happy to go somewhere that serves more than kid food. The staff was EXCELLENT. Im a type A personality, so I was a little apprehensive giving control of the party to someone else, but I couldnt have been happier with the level of service and professionalism. And to top it off the price was less than I would have expected. This is THE place to go for your little train enthusiasts birthday!!!

We were so exited to come here. The experience there is really good for the children, the food is mediocre. Theyre staff is wonderful and very attentive to you needs. The staff is great with kids. We had a chopped chicken Cesar salad and the lettuce must if not been good because my hubby had an all evening party in the restroom. My 6 yr old daughter had the chicken nuggets and fries and the nuggets looked store bought not really homemade. She erupted that night with some skin sores that looked like she got a food allergy reaction. Yeah, I thought I had found a good place to bring her more often but after this first visit, sorry. I dont want to see my family go thru another bad night at home.

This place was small and ok. The staff didnt seem enthused maybe because it was empty. We were there around 530 and only a couple of other families besides us were dining. That made us wonder where everyone was. The food was average diner food, nothing to write home about. I've been to both locations of Choo Choo Johnny's and their concept is way better and their food is too. I guess we can say we tried this place, but will not be coming back.

Had a great meal and a great time. It doesnt seem like much on the outside, but dont pass it by, go in. Noce train decorations and if uou sit at the bar area, the train delivers your food. Friendly conductor (server), and other staff. Food was delicious and had great prices. We will definitely return. I even got a cup of ice cream with a candle because it was my birthday.

Every child should experience this diner at least once. There are games followed with prizes for children during the wait to be seated. Your food is delived BY A TRAIN. Food prices are beyond reasonable and the staff is very friendly. My little girl couldnt stop talking about this place after we left. Well definately make our way up there again soon. LOVED IT!

The wait for the counter was longer than necessary at 2pm in the afternoon because servers and hostess were not keeping up with the bussing. The food was surprisingly better than you might expect from a strip mall location like this. The kids enjoyed the train bringing the food. Average experience overall.

Great food. You must try the atomic fries if you like spicy food. Everything was hand prepared and was perfectly to order. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a great meal. I will stop in when I come to the area. Thanks.
