My family and I (5 adults and 1 toddler) waited outside for an hour after being told it would be a 20 minute wait and was NEVER called. I approached the hostess and asked how much longer and she said "we are just waiting on 2 tables to push together to accomodate you all, maybe 5 more minutes" even though they had called at least 6 parties of 4 or less during this hoir wait. It seems to me, they coupd have given us 2 of those tables. Nevertheless, we waited 10 more minites, still no one called my name but then, a group of 3 came and waited 5 minutes before being called. I approached the hostess again asking her to get the manager who came up front with an attitude saying they were just busy and we would need to wait for 2 tables to come available. I explained we had been waiting over an hour and he said "Im sorry". We left and had to go eat elsewhere. Horrible customer service and we will not rerurn!

After having high hopes we were disappointed . Went in tonight to get Yo Hala and Fried chicken and waffles and both were not up to our expectations . The chicken was burnt (they said they ran out of dry rub) so they fried it with paprika which was the reason it burned. The Yo Hala was over loaded with cream inside /ingredients to where it was soggy. We never complain because sometimes you will get a hit and miss. We believe in second chances so eventually we will be back and hopefully there will be a difference . I will say that management /waitress was really nice and apologetic which makes all the difference in wanting to return our business .

The place was packed today (Fathers Day), but they still provided good service. They seem to have good systems in place that keep things going. Most of us had the Bissell Breakfast. It is a good value, and there are many ways you can customize it. (By the way: you HAVE to try the ham with the Bissell Breakfast.) The only down side is that it was rather warm. I think that, since they were having to open to door many times, the AC was getting a little overwhelmed. Bottom line:. It was a good "diner" experience.

Sat at the counter and watched the A team work. Have never seen pie crust and biscuits rolled out freshly from the mixing bowl from scratch. Fresh produce brought in, beautiful red potatoes boiled and mashed in front of our very eyes. The chicken pot pie was so very awesome! Great job bring such class and expertise to the diner scene, folks!

I walked in and the hostess was speaking with a customer so I calmly waited for my turn. When the hostess finished with the woman she had been engaged with she ignored me. So I continued to stand by waiting. Then a couple came in behind me and and the hostess immediately started helping them. So I left and I wont be back.

Menu was extensive and you can order breakfast all day. Items are made fresh daily and it all looked good. I had the Bissell breakfast with the croissant French toast instead of pancakes along with vanilla coffee. Food was served very fast especially considering it was Fathers Day. We all enjoyed it.

The food was fantastic but the service was lacking. At the end of our meal our waitress was very rude about the tip before we even tipped her. Unfortunately I dont remember her name, but if I go back I will not sit in her section. However, I enjoyed the food very much

The Bissell breakfast is really good. The grits arent my style, but others may really like them. Service was great and our server (B? V? Cant remember her name), was very helpful and was a hard worker. The bathrooms seem to back up, but thats just a minor issue.

I was in need of a good southern breakfast while visiting from southern California...this place was great! Our server couldnt have been nicer or more attentive and was helpful with the menu and deciding between so many choices! Will go back before I leave town.

The food was Great!!! From the chicken and waffles with strawberry butter to the shrimp and grits to the grilled chicken salad!! The customer service was outstanding and everyone was friendly!! Will definitely return when visiting Tuscaloosa again!

I was very glad to see these guys come to town. Having been in the restaurant biz in this town I know how things can be.( especially in the "off season"). They have great food(Ive not had a bad meal yet) and a great staff. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

Great food, when we arrived we had a wait line, I was so worried we would have a long wait but they had us at a table in no time. We also cannot believe the amount of food that was served. We could not eat everything, we love this place.

This is an edited review. I originally had a negative experience at breakfast, but I gave it another try for dinner tonight and finally got my waffle. The service and the food were both excellent. I definitely will be back.

Fish and chips is actually swai, some river catfish from Asia, not cod like fish and chips is supposed to have. Also, if you get a burger, order it more done than you want, they undercooked my burger by a fair Amount

What a treat. When in town, I always stop in at least once. Breakfast - yum. Burgers - yum. Nice folks being waited on by nice folks serving tasty food.
