First time here in along time. I was there dining in for breakfast, service and food was ok, no complaints. The bill was brought to the table, I checked it over and the waitress came back to get the bill and my debit card. When she brings my receipt I signed their copy. The waitress comes back and tells me she swiped my card for someone elses bill. So instead of her charging my card the difference the 2nd time she has now swiped my card for yet another full bill. Now mistakes happen and I was understanding from the beginning, she advised me that the money would automatically returned to my card without delay; not true. A few days later I spoke to the supervisor who pushed the issues that they did their job by refunding the money to my card and didnt see anything wrong with a customer being charged for another guests bill. I feel like when a company or anyone makes a mistake you should give up something more than lip service so the next time around youll be more cognizant of what youre doing. After talking to the supervisor and what felt like pulling teeth from her mouth she offered a whopping 10% off my next order. I asked her to have her boss call me just because some business owners dont know the way their employees are representing their company and treating their customers. A few days later I spoke to the Manager who I believe doubles as the Owner and he was equally has resistive to going above and beyond for a mistake that his staff made. Again it was like pulling teeth and This guy offers me $5 off for my next visit. There will never be a next visit. I do not patron establishments where they make a mistake and dont have the integrity to right their wrong and ensure they keep their customers, because without them you would not have a business. It definitely was not about the money it was all about the principle.

I found this place while searching for somewhere to get breakfast with a friend. We went early morning, about 8:30 or so on a Thursday. There was a nice gathering, but were still seated immediately. Both my friend and I got the chorizo and avocado skillet. Its served over hand cut American fries, and they are excellent. The scrambled egg was a little overdone, but Im almost certain Im the only one that would have noticed that. It was very good, overall. I got the marble rye, and my friend had the sourdough toast. These are nice, big, thick slices of bread. I was really excited to see that over the typical flimsy slices at other establishments. We also got, what they call, blenders. Smoothies basically. From fresh ingredients and Greek yogurt. My friend had the peanut butter and chocolate, and I had the strawberry banana. To die for! The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the place is cozy. Would definitely recommend, and will be going back!!

Went for breakfast around 10am on Sunday morning. We were told there was a 20 minute wait. 30 minutes later we were taken back to our table and saw 2 other tables bused and ready for more guests. Within 5 minutes 3 more tables left. With a lobby full of waiting guests I would have expected more urgency to get them seated, but the tables sat empty for over 10 minutes and one was left for 15 minutes. There appeared to be plenty of staff walking around. It was frustrating to see this. Our server was fine but never checked in after serving our food. The food itself was quite tasty. However a 2 hour breakfast excursion will have us considering other options in the future.

I know everyone raves about this place. My wife had been 3 or 4 times before I finally went. Ill be honest, I wasnt impressed. We waited for quite a while to be seated even though there two empty, clean tables. Eventually, one of the hostesses told us we could sit there if we were fine without a booth in a way as if we should have known that. I dont know if the place was short-staffed but it took longer than it seemed like it should have after that to order and to get our check. So I dont give 5 stars because of the service. But the food was good. It wasnt anything I havent had before, but it was good, theres no doubting it. The average price for an order is $9-10.

I am from Texas & was visiting my brother in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. The food is a great place to visit & eat but depending on the day it gets packed. I do wish they offered more foods that are not fried like their fish may be baked. Also some of the food has a different name for it. Michelle was my waitress & she told me some names are different up in that place. A water fountain is called a bubbly fountain. Home fries are diced potatoes, etc. Ask for Mitchell cause her service is impeccable & she is a cute one too! Price is reasonable & most of their dishes are under $15. Good value. John.

Horrible place! Went there for lunch last summer. It was raining outside, we were soaked. Had a toddler with us. It was our first time. We waited for a long time to order. The waitress was irritated with us asking for water, was looking very busy and not customer oriented. Very bad customer service! Food came with delay as well. Food was greasy and not tasty at all. Had to leave half of a sandwich on a plate. Long story short will NOT recommend to go. Kids not friendly and just a mediocre hangout spot. Too bad, really was excited to check it out.

Great food and friendly service restautant that we found via Google. We got there an hour before closing and the hostess said the wait would be 35-40 minutes. We only ended up waiting about 20, and on a Friday night. The food was good and portions were big. Moderately priced as well. We ordered an appetizer, four entrees, two desserts and drinks and our bill was only $73.00. The servers were all friendly (even after they should have been closed). Definitely recommend this place.

This is a wonderful hidden gem! My sister and I enjoyed a great lunch there today and had the cheesy French onion soup and pastrami melts--wow! so great! even the coleslaw and fries are homemade--the place is clean, the staff is polite, nice and fast and the food is fabulous--its been a long time since food was good enough to rate a comment from me and they have earned it. I would recommend this place to everyone--we will be back! Thanks for a great experience!!

If youre like me and love a good eggs benedict dont bother with this place. The benedict menu made me think it must be amazing. The first time we went they were out already, oh well. I got a French dip and it was above average. The second time we made sure they still had it before putting our name in and waiting. Once we got seated we were informed they were out again. I got a quesadilla and it was pretty much flavorless. Not willing to try a third time.

Im on a visit to Chicago from Sweden and today we took a day trip to Milwaukee. Stopped here for some lunch and all I can say is WOW! It doesnt look very special from the outside but the place really surprised. Service was quick and efficient without being too sweet and overbearing, sourdough melt was amazing, and the fries were the BEST Ive had in my life! Im so sad I probably wont be able to go back here for quite a while!
