I was going to just ignore this but I cant anymore. In January, I went to the buffet and got lobsters. And what I found in the lobster was a ball of hair stuck into the lobster meat(as you can see in the picture). Of course I asked the manager what this was and she said(she was very rude also) "Its lobsters whiskers," and she just left. Really? Because if you cook a lobster, it is only natural that its whiskers also turn red as its body gets cooked. Clearly, this stupid manager didnt know what she was saying, and she wanted me to believe this absurd statement. Gosh, she really wanted to believe that this, what clearly looks like a ball of hair, was lobsters whiskers? Come on, customers are not dumb enough to believe that, and they are educated enough to clearly distinguish between a ball of hair and lobsters whiskers. This is insane. Also, I have seen lots of Google reviews that the water tasted like sewer water. I absolutely agree with them because that day, when I got that disgusting lobster, it also tasted like sewege. You better explain this situation throughly because I am ready to close this disgusting place down. Would you be able to eat this disgusting lobster? If not, then WHY THE HECK ARE YOU SELLING THIS TO THE CUSTOMERS? NEVER EVER GO TO THIS PLACE EVER. IF THERE WAS A RATING BELOW 1, I WOULD HAVE GIVEN THEM THAT. So disgusting. Cant believe I paid full price for this garbage food

Service is generally good - the servers are fairly good with cleaning out your emtpy dishes, getting your drinks, and settling the bill. Had no problems getting a table, though usually my parties are 3-4. If you have more, some wait time may be possible. Food is generally decent. Its a buffet, not a 5 star restaurant, so keep that in mind. Sushi and sashimi are decent, hot food like lobster, steak, or kalbi are tasty, fried rice is missing a bunch of mixed items but edible, though a bit lacking in general maybe on veggie items. Otherwise, a nice selection of desserts and sweets for afters. Itll get a bit busy at peak times but still good for seating and not too congested when walking back to the food stations. Bathrooms are towards the mall entrance and usable. There is a full bar which has a selection of domestic and import beers, especially with Asian libations. Good food and drink, with numerous items to select, all in the Golf Mill mall, on the east side of the complex, between JC Penny and Sears, just outside of the food court.

Folks, this is a Chicago buffet restaurant, its not in Vegas and they are not charging you $50+, set your expectation accordingly. Im surprise at the quality and quantity of the food. For a buffet place the food was more than acceptable. For dinner ($28) theres unlimited lobster, stone crabs, dungeness crab, snow crab, oysters, shrimps cooked in many styles and many other choices of seafoods. The seafood we have that night was fresh enough, you cant really compare this to restaurant like Bob Chinn, but for all you can eat place, not bad. The sushi was plentiful and many choices, the salmon piece are large and not too much rice wrap around. The New york steak was nicely grilled, but they are little small, but hey get more pieces. We are not big eaters, so we didnt eat our moneys worth. But I see some tables and the food is piled high ;-)

Saturday evening... First time trying the establishment. All of the crab was over cooked and looked like grey mush. The sushi wasnt too bad. I couldnt even have the peel and eat shrimp because it is mixed in with oysters and mussels to which I am allergic (cross contamination). Then when the bug showed up on the soy sauce container on the table, I dropped a couple of bucks on the table and left. My server caught up with me and I only went back so that he wouldnt be charged for my meal which wasnt a meal. The very rude woman at the front finally gave me a 20% discount and to paraphrase, we have bugs but you have to pay. A call to the Village of Niles will be made Monday morning. $25 for 8 pieces of sushi, a teriyaki chicken kabob and two pieces of walnut shrimp. Even with my smaller stomach, it wasnt a meal.

Considering the price, I can only say it is a OK buffet. Service is OK, this is a buffet, you dont need too much service. I have been long time customer since its opening. I was deeply insulted by the guy who distributed half lobster to each customer. I was the last one in line, when it was my turn, he refused to give me anything, and said I have too much in my plate, to be honest, I have TWO small pieces of fish in my plate. I did not argue with him about "too much is how much", I was in line and I was the last one, and he had more lobster left. The only thing I can do is to review here and tell everyone my experience. Another thing I can do is I will never donate a single penny to this restaurant from now on. With that price, you can easily find much better restaurant with better service.

For me personally, Im not a good fit for this restaurant. I dont like sushi or most seafood. So my review is primarily based on their steak and other sides like the chinese food, noodles, veggies, soups, dessert, etc. The real show is people lining up for cheap crab legs. I dont like crab legs so I cant speak to that. But the steak cuts are "ok" at best. All the side chinese food is complete garbage. The pot stickers were hard as rocks. The fried rice had zero flavor. Even the udon noodles that I love most places were bland and weakly done. There was a bad orange chicken. There was even worse looking american food. I feel it did not hold up to its end of the "steak" part of the sign or the rest of the buffet. Apparently the seafood part was a hit with other people though.

Not worth $30 a person, unless you eat a large amount of seafood. The sushi selection was ok. Its good if you like rolls. The crab legs and lobster were very hard to come by and it wasnt even busy. I can honestly say there was about 6 tables of people and on average waited about 20 minutes for a very small portion of the crab and lobster to come out. The non-seafood options were just okay at best. It wasnt a large variety. If you are a picky eater or want more options then avoid this place. There were no plain vegetables or salad bar for those who are curious. All the desserts tasted like freezer burn and were just gross. Service was fine, no complaints there. I just wouldnt spend $30 a person on this place ever again.

Man, why does everyone seem to enjoy this place? Id rather drive over to Royal Buffet. There are no salads here. Not much fresh vegetables either. Its all meat, noodles, rice, soups, (so-so) sushi, fish, and more meat. The food isnt even that great and the dessert variety is hardly anything. Ive been here maybe four times due to my family and friends wanting to go. Ive always left dissatisfied and regretful for spending that much for such a bad meal. Ginza is just your typical Chinese buffet that just looks fancy from a far. Id rather not go here. Maybe youll enjoy it though, but if you dont enjoy this place I recommend Royal Buffet in Schaumberg.
