I had great experiences in this buffet. Now Im twelve and Ive been coming every month since I was eleven. Been in Chicago for about a year or so and trust me, I tried LOTS of different restraunts and buffets to know which ones are good, and not to brag but Im a pro at this now:) I dont understand how its rated so low... maybe you people who gave it one or two stars have a sensitive stomach, but believe it or not, I have a VERY sensitive stomach and all these times I came to this buffet, I never threw up ONCE. I give this a five out of five- recommend you go there! The people at the front desk-the lady and sometimes the man are very nice and now mum and I know them very well. They are Ms.Yuang and Mr.Hao- a very nice couple though I would say the man is sort of strict, but the ladys very kind-you would think theyre mean because of their misconception of English, but none of them are very good at it so its not their fault. They do the best to understand. Also very nice because we got to know them well and now on the holidays my mom comes over and helps them and she is Chinese and can answer people with English- shes like a translator. And also, JUST IN CASE YOU DIDNT SEE FOR WHATEVER CRAZY REASON, THERE WAS A WAITER/ WAITRESS. I read all these reviews and even though the ceiling looks way too much outdated, there is no REAL MOLD in it and perhaps they like the design and if you dont like it you can go and tell them that and they are kind so Im sure theyll change it. Also I would say the foods pretty decent even though it takes some time for new food to come out-Ive been in the kitchen and there are only two or three cookers so of course its slow. Also I agree with the fact that the pizza does look brown but thats probably because of the topping or the dimmed lights. For the ice cream, I loved New York Cherry and Moose Track. I also blended ice cream flavors and made my own smoothie which tasted SO good. I love this place. And why cant Chinese buffets serve onion rings and French fries? I mean, at least these taste better than the ones in Buffet Castle, which is also a Chinese buffet(though if you go there, the sushi mans sushi are worth it and hes really nice). In general the food here is great and theres really nice people. So come here! And try out the ice cream and food!

My experience at this "restaurant" was absolutely horrendous. The food was stale. Also, it is absolutely overpriced. The rice was not cooked all the way through. I asked the lady at the front desk if there was more rice (before I tried it) and she looked at me and said, "I dont know." She was extremely rude. The potatoes were extremely underdone. The workers were not friendly and they were constantly staring, especially when my family sat down to eat. The ice cream was extremely UNSANITARY due to the use of one ice cream scooper. The scooper was placed in a tub of water that contained hair and was gross. The place itself was gross. The ceiling was caving in a little and had mold. It was also VERY HOT and it was difficult to breath. The atmosphere was musty and smelled bad. It smelled like eggs everywhere. The pizza was the nastiest thing I have ever seen. It was rotating on a tray and the light was OFF. The pizza looked a couple days old. The seafood smelled really bad and the shrimp was bland. The dessert section was not pleasant. The fruits tasted old and the pudding tasted EXACTLY like banana extract. The rest of the food was weird. The noodles were dry. The meatballs tasted old. Nothing was really fresh. It was a terrible experience. Theres a lot more that was unpleasant. This place should be shut down ASAP and should have a thorough inspection. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I wish I never stepped foot in there. It was very unprofessional. Also, dont let their pictures fool you. Its not bright inside at all. It was dark and musty. I would never recommend to anyone. It shouldnt be considered a buffet at all. That term is an exaggeration for this place. 0/5

My wife and I got FOOD POISONING after eating at this place yesterday. I am still in pain with an upset stomach as I am writing this review. I wish there was a way I could give this place a negative star on this review. We recently moved to this area and were so excited to see this place so close to our home. We thought we would give it a try. What a MISTAKE that was. We would never go back. The buffet dishes were mostly empty. Dried out and stale-looking food in the few containers that had food in it. We put a few things on a plate that looked half decent. After eating a couple of bites, I went to get a soda and next to the soda machine was the rotating pizza display that had dried out, dark brown-looking and crusted pizza slices in it that must have been sitting there for days and not cleaned. The light was off in the machine, but it was still rotating. That did it for me and I walked back to the table and asked my wife to leave the restaurant. Unfortunately, the couple of bites of food we had kept us up all night and we are both in pain this next day as well. This place must be in violation of all kinds of health codes. Not sure how they are open to the public. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. I only wish I had read the reviews on here before going to this place.

I dont normally write reviews but this time I feel like I have to say something. If I can save just one person 10 dollars it will have been worth it. This place is just awful. Ive never seen greasier food. Everything they have out is swimming in oil. They have the smallest unpeeled fried shrimp. I saw people laboriously peeling the fried batter off the shrimp then peeling off the shell all for the smallest amount of meat Ive ever seen. They also had something they are calling mini lobster. They were actually fried crayfish ... and they were mini crayfish at that. These crayfish were so small I can guarantee there was no meat in them. Why does a Chinese buffet have french fries, onion rings and garlic bread and HAM TACOS? The onion rings were terrible. They were obviously fried in oil at the wrong temperature. Desserts werent bad. The only problem is when I was at the dessert table there was a large green fly landing on all of the fruit. I will say that the soft serve ice cream was nice. Service was terrible and clientèle was very low class. One guy couldnt bother putting on a shirt for dinner. I would never go back to this place again. I had to vent all of my frustrations because Id hate to see other innocent victims get hurt.

Im sorry, i was SOOO craving chinese that prior to going i did read some horrible reviews but was hoping for the best and went anyway. As i walked in i noticed a musty feel to the place as if they had no ventilation and tables looked damp like they were sweating or something. Anyway i seen the buffet tables on got a little excited cause it looked pretty large with a wide variety. I paid the man, grabbwd a table then went to grab a plate to dig in. I have to say this was a SORRY sight to see. All the food looked dry, old and unflavorful! I grabbed a few items that looked the most edible and went for it. The food was horrible, as im eating i was talking to myself hoping i dont get food poisoning or worse. I read a comment prior to going there where somesaid the best thing about the place was their soda and i laughed. I now couldnt agree more with that. Nice old couple running it but they need to make a change if they want to remain open. It was lunchtime and i was the ONLY one there! (Hint#2). Anyways, horrible horrible experience, didnt even leave a tip, couldnt get outta there fast enough. Avoid at all cost!
