The attitude of the owner was very rude. This was the first time I brought my mom to try Indian food. We also brought a four months old baby girl with us and she was crying almost half the time. We are not familiar with Indian food and we certainly did not have time to read the labels. My mom got everything a little bit and then she found she did not like some of the food. So she had some leftover in her plate. When the owner came to get our plates, he seemed to be very angry that we had some leftover. This was what he said "You are not done with the food, you have to eat them all!" The owner had never asked whether we like the food, all he said to us was to order us to finish the plate. We did not waste the food purposefully. We had some leftover because we did not like most of the food there. I dont think we deserve this. I had been there with my husband several time before, he was good to my husband who is a big guy. I do not know whether this time he picked on us just because we are women. On the other hand If he does not allow guest to have leftover for the buffet, he should have put out a sign. No leftover including sauce or to what extend. People would then have the chance to think twice before they step in the restaurant.

We are regulars here. Weve had the very reasonable lunch buffets to carry out dinners to dining in. Its our favorite place for Indian food and its clear that they appreciate our business. We like the foreign ambience, a nice change from the typical U.S. American cultural food. I suppose were fairly open minded this way. They speak English quite well and certainly good enough for me. We have NEVER felt uncomfortable there at all as Indians are much quieter people and nice towards us. Try the chicken tikka massala or a vindaloo (either shrimp or theyll make it chicken as well). Absolutely delicious as is the Naan bread. Weve always had pretty decent service there. Well keep going back. Thats for sure. Pay cash and theyll give a 10% discount, or scoop up a $5 off coupon online from their website for savings. One or the other though.

I have always enjoyed getting takeout from here but after today,,,I will not be back. I always get the chicken tikka masala (my favorite dish), but today I only wanted the sauce without any chicken and some naan bread. The regular dish with meat is 13.50 and they wanted to charge me 8.50 just for the sauce. The chicken costs less than a bowl of sauce?? After I told him I thought that was too much, he offered only to take off a dollar. That is rediculous and way to much money. The fact that I am a frequent customer should have also been a consideration. I will now take my money elsewhere. There are plenty of other good Indian restaraunts that will not be so high priced!!

Ordered food online, paid extra for long delivery (Im about 3.3 miles away) and they told me they were too busy to deliver until 10:30 (about 2 hours later) I said ok. I called later to confirm my order and they said it was on the way. Later (11 pm) I got a voicemail without my phone ringing saying they couldnt find my place and they were cancelling the order. Long story short I waited for over 2 hours and they decided not to bring me my order. I have found if you dont order enough food their delivery times vary. Poor service for someone who has eaten there many times. I wont for now on.

Came from India on a short visit to MKE. Friend took me to TOI. Tried the lunch buffet. In overall, I am not disappointed. Good sambar, dosa, egg biryani. They had chicken/ goat, but I was not in a mood to eat meat. My friend said they were good though. Wadas were hard and tasted bad. That is about the only negative. Lot of choice in dessert. I tried the mango ice-cream and the suji halwa -- not bad. There were lot of local people in the restaurant, and most seemed to be relishing the fare. I would say, this is value for money, and I would recommend my friends to eat here.

Oh man, this place blew our minds. A coworker and I had the pleasure of getting their Lunch Buffet after a hard days work. Weve been to restaurants 3 states wide, and this one was one of the tastiest and most authentic indian restaurants weve ever been too. Service was amazing, how can I say... The waiter topped off our glasses 6 times in 45 minutes! The family that owns this place clearly takes great pride in their food, and the prices are very reasonable. It was everything we wanted and more. I will DEFINITELY go back here whenever i have the chance!

I ate dinner here once and absolutely loved the food. I welcome the extremely spicy authentic Indian cuisine. They gave me a choice on how spicy I would like my food prepared. I give my dinner experience 5 stars. The lunch buffet was not spicy at all, probably because not everyone can tolerate spicy foods and it has to be cooked mildly. The food was not as piping hot as it was when it was ordered from the menu. The food in the buffet was warm but not hot enough. I give my lunch experience 3 to 4 stars. The service as always is excellent.

I went for the buffet and brought a coworker with me. The service was excellent, with the host very polite and the servers asking frequently if we needed anything. The food had good variety, but a few dishes were dried out. The buffet had good variety with several different types of dish, and nice fresh naan on the end. My friend complained of a lack of spicy dishes (none that I saw). It was nice that the buffet had complementary chai-like tea. Price of the buffet was about $10 each, so not bad.

I have ordered takeout and also been to the buffet once. The takeout is always great, and though I think its expensive its comparable to Chinese takeout. I think the lunch buffet is okay. I was there about an hour before it was over and they didnt do the best job keeping everything stocked and hot, it was all rather lukewarm and a lot of it was missing half the time I went up. I though there would be more variation in the buffet but it was alright. Ill stick with takeout. The staff it really nice.

This was my first experience with Indian cuisine and I was lost, but servers were more than helpfull and VERY, VERY polite. I had a foreighn guest with me, and it was very important that she liked the service and the food. Food was excellent, but srvice was even better. My European guest rated the service as THE BEST that she experienced in US, and for the past for weeks we have visited over twenty different restaurants. We had a delightfull night thanks to the staff of Taste of India.

Pathetic quality of food! If you know true India food than you would know. They have lots of variety during lunch buffet but the quality was poor. Dahi Wada was sour and stale. Medu Wada was really hard. Sambhar tasted like someone is experimenting and added pretty much everything they got in the kitchen. Dosa was ok. Paneer was good relatively. Salad had few stale items and had bad taste.
