This family run restaurant has an incredible attention to detail and its guests. No matter how softly you speak or timidly you raise your hand, they will see what you need. What makes Mizuki great is that they stick to what they know. The food they make is simplistic but always perfectly done. I highly recommend their sushi - spicy tuna is my favorite. Mizuki is generally quiet and has a beautiful modern interior, making it perfect for dates. Its a large enough location for parties from family outings to birthdays. Everyone in my family loved it despite being food snobs and would definitely return!

Quaint and tidy and interestingly decorated. When we where there last Mizuki s under construction and converting to an events space, but dispute this it was clean and quiet. The food here from appetizer to dessert is amazing and well worth a visit. Everything is very fresh and prepared with the utmost of care. Presentation of the food is also beautiful . Not to be missed in Highland park where there are so many wonderful restaurants. This is a gem. Family owned and operated with the owners always on hand.

This husband-wife sushi place is a gem! The quality of the fish and the large portion sizes are unparalleled in Highland Park. An authentic Japanese experience. Weve been here several times and have always had a great experience. In addition to the sushi, the other options are great too. The Japanese-born chef is masterful with burgers and fusion options too! The atmosphere has a simple brick interior and they just opened a beautiful event space in the back that can seat 200!

Contender for the best sushi in the Chicagoland area. Some of the specialty rolls can be a little pricey, but you will not be disappointed in any way. Joe is a culinary wizard, and every roll seems like it couldnt be any better. Make no mistake, this place has ruined all other sushi for me. If you truly love sushi, you owe it yourself to come here and experience some of the best and most authentic sushi youll find outside of Japan. (Tip: try a couple pieces of salmon nigiri!)

Decent food; however, the service we received was not at par with other sushi places that I have been too. Also, the presentation was not particularly aesthetically appealing (as you can tell from the pictures posted here). The service was lax even though my wife an I were the only two people in the restaurant. Certainly not worth the 5 star rating it has received.

We went here for sushi with my Japanese relatives from Tokyo, who are used to the best sushi in the world of course. According to them, maybe 4.5 stars! They liked it. For Chicago, 5.0 is totally justified. We got lovely slices of Toro for an appetizer, what a treat!
