My son has aspergers syndrome and is very picky about his food because of that. I was there meeting some friends and my son had finished eating his happy meal and was still drinking his shake and the waiter who seated us, after having already been seated for 5 minutes told me we couldnt bring in food from another restaurant. I said well hes done with his food, he cant finish drinking his shake? He man said no! He told us we would have to leave it outside and the empty happy meal box. I understand rules but no where on the menu or any signage did I see it posted nor did he present this policy. I had the chicken fajitas and they were blah, no taste! My friends had the seafood plate and steak fajitas. The seafood plate she couldnt eat it was so bad and the steak fajitas were chewy. I would not eat there ever again!

I walked in to do a to go order. I stood there for like 5 minutes and 2 waitresses walked past about 3 times and they acted as though Inwas not there. When they finally noticed me, I told her I wanted a to go order and she aaid they were very busy and it would take a while. There were a lot of open seats and they didnt look that busy.

The best Mexican Restaurant in Lake County, Indiana, IMO. More than a tacqueria, this is full service sit-down restaurant. An extensive menu of traditional Mexican platillos, seafood, beef, chicken, etc. They serve homemade tortillas, which are the best. If you enjoy Mexican food, you really should try them out. You will be glad.

La Cecina Restaurant offers a very friendly family oriented atmosphere. I was very impressed by the friendliness of the staff & the cleanliness of the restaurant. The food portions are greater than I expected. Everything Ive tried at La Cecina has been a pleasant experience. I will definitely be returning here soon.

Monday was the second time my wife and I ate here. The first time we ate here I thought the waiter was abrupt and impolite. This time the waiter was the same way, thats when I realized this is just his manner. So take his abruptness as just being friendly. The food is very good. My wife and I really enjoyed the meal.

My mom ordered a snapper dish. The fish was either very overdone or freezer burned. Was tasteless and couldnt even flake off. The restaurant did nothing to remedy it not would they provide discount or anything. Fish was inedible. Will never return. Steak fajitas were didnt have much flavor either.

2nd time here! Just moved to Lansing, Il from Chicago Midway area 2weeks ago and found la Cecina res. Have to say this place is Very good!!! The Micheladas are AWESOME!!! and of course the food and lunch specials are great!! I totally RECOMMEND this place! 5stars!!!

You guys need to stop paying with credit/debit cards they steal identity and credit card numbers . Do please be careful and dont give your card to any waitress its better if you just swipe your card by yourself the guy stole 120 dollars out of my debit card.

The food was okay but the servers didnt act like they enjoyed being there also the first time I was there the steak was well overcooked it was like shoe leather but the second time I went I had a burrito and it was fantastic okay thats it

Here in Dyer its hard to find legit mexican food. This place never fails me, they make the salsa fresh!!!! If your vegan you can eat Chilaquiles just say no cheese and sour cream and bam!! Look at my pic!
