The one time I gave my mother Indian food she ran to the sink and screamed, "I dont like Indian food!" before spitting it out. Somehow I was able to get her to try this restaurant with me, and she LOVED it. The atmosphere is nice. It was quiet when we went, candles and dim lighting enhanced our experience. The food was outstanding! We ordered 3 drinks, an appetizer, 4 entrees, and a side of Naan bread. After a 20% tip we walked out spending $80. Thats $20 total per person, outstanding considering how much food we got! The food was delicious. This is real curry! The tandoori chicken was like nothing Ive ever had. Overall, a great dining experience. We plan to go again!

My husband and I used to love Curry Hut, but our last few visits have been disappointing to say the least. The portion sizes are considerably small for the hefty prices, and the service is terrible. We asked the server to please bring out more rice because there were three of us and only one small plate of rice. Her response? "Finish that rice first and then Ill bring you more." ... Naturally we finished the rice quickly and then waited about 15 minutes before someone finally brought is another plate of rice. The naan was also extremely hard and crunchy.

This review is for buffet they have .We were a team of around 20 people and food does not deserve more than 2 star rating .The tandoori was stiff and starters were not good .We have to wait for the breads for more than 15 minutes . There is only one person who serves the food so service is also delayed. Also curries are more close to Nepali type of preparation than Indian style and they lack the spice and aroma. Deserts were good but overall it was a disappointing visit.

Loved this place. Stopped for dinner after seeing a movie at the ICON theater, which is really close. Large menu of interesting Indian and Nepalese options --- which was a treat because there were things I hadnt seen at other Indian restaurants. The restaurant is clean, modern, bright and well maintained. Service was excellent. I dont spend a lot of time in the South Loop, but this will definitely be on my short-list of restaurants when Im there again.

Ive only had supper there, once, so I cant say that Im really familiar with much of their menu. Ill exaggerate just to make a point ... the raita was like yogurt soup (hardly a chunk of cucumber or carrot to be seen); the nan was good and so was the biryani. One or two of the restaurants on Devon (in Chicago) do better. If you want a 5-star Indian restaurant, try some of the really excellent ones around and in London (England).

Not even worth a star... I have never been this Dissappointed or even embarrassed in my Life. I ordered curry hut with UberEATS and there was no other options but a Lunch buffet. So I opted for that, meanwhile i am thinking that I will be getting some kind of buffet and invited a couple of friends knowing I will NOT be able to eat "All" this food. And I get a spoon of Rice and 2 mix curries of some sort WTH For FOR $17??? REALLY

This is the worst indian restaurant I had ever been to. Mutton curry worst taste.. chicken makhni no idea if they know what is makhni.. Naan was not baked properly. Rice was hard..now the main important thing we had Navratan Korma and it was smelling bad. When I asked the waiter he went and brought another bowl which was ok and tastes ok.. I will never visit this restaurant at all and will not reccommed anyone to go..

Curry Hut serves some of the best Indian and Nepalese dishes, of any of the Indian Restaurants in the area (and there are several VERY good ones to chose from). Ive tried a wide sampling of their menu, over the years, and I havent been disappointed once. They regularly have coupon deals, which add to the value. The service is also very good. I highly recommend visiting Curry Hut for top-notch Indian food.

We usually go all the way to Milwaukee for great Indian food, but no longer! The food was superb but the odd thing was the background music. It was a high school marching band. Im not sure why, but when I eat Indian food I get giddy-so the music coupled with the spices made for quite an entertaining afternoon. Will be back again and again................it was tasty, fresh and delicious!

We lived in Nepal for two yrs when I was a child, so I love Indian food. I take my family here when they are in town and we have never had a dish we didnt love. Service is attentive. Quantity of food is great. Garlic naan perfect. Converted my WI husband to the wonders of indian food, and now hes even choosing more exotic dishes at this restaurant bc everything is always good. We have been coming to this restaurant for years, ever since it first opened. We love it! We have been here for buffet and regular service. The food is always excellent, but when its not a buffet it is much more expensive and the wait staff is not good. You cant beat their buffet for 20 miles! But I usually dont consider them for dinner in the evening due to the wait service.

The worst restaurant in Chicago and in Illinois. The food is horrible and dishes are not what they suppose to be. Taste is awful and menu is not Nepali or Indian food. Completely distinguishing taste for ridiculous price. This restaurant should be rated negative -5 rather than any positive starts. I highly recommend urban tandoor if you are in Lincolnshire area.

I love variety and flavors and this restaurant does not disappoint! Very attentive service, great environment, super reasonably priced (especially for this town) and so many choices of HIGH quality food (no fat in the meat...). This will be one of my local favorites for the next year that I am here.

Went for the lunch buffet. I liked the variety and number of choices. No complaints other than the distance from work. Ill definitely go again. I also went to their other location in the Chicago south loop, and that buffet layout is a little more cramped and seemed to have less choices.

Had dinner at the Curry hut a couple nights ago and was so impressed by both the service and the food that we are going back again tonight. If you are looking for great Indian food, this is the place...

I ordered two deserts to go. Gulab jamun was really good but gajar ka halwa was bad. It tasted stale, bitter, sour and going bad. Waste of money and time.

Great food. Questionable staff. First time there and they did not answer any direct questions. Very frustrating to order. Very satisfied with food.
