07/19/08 The restaurant was thriving when we arrived just after 8am. Our waiter was very pleasant and well mannered. When I say well manned I mean the real well mannered type. The tables are set with water pitchers, glasses and if you order coffee are presented with a small carafe. If you are sitting with four people there will not be much room left for the plates. Booths are larger. The menu is very high priced for the quality served. For two eggs, muffin, meat and potatoes it was $8.75. Simply outrageous and this has nothing to do with being in Geneva. I had the two eggs and more. The over easy eggs were full of water (yes water) and tasteless. Muffin was barely there and mushy. A small serving of small chopped, dry and burnt potatoes were served with green onions. They are probably using frozen product. There are no hash browns available. I was thoroughly shocked when the sausage links accompanying the meal were the brown and serve type. A definite misrepresentation on the menu. My dad had the two egg omelets with meat. The meat was dry and his meal had the same nasty potatoes. The omelet’s are three egg and he asked for two egg which was more than enough. Three eggs version was over $8. Again overpriced. The women’s bathroom had a leaking ceiling and you had to crawl over the trashcan to get to the second facility. The entire meal was shattered with out of control children as well. The entire time the boy next to us banged on the silverware. Neither the waiter nor grandparents said nothing even though tables around where giving dirty looks. Another table had a small child banging on a glass while the father laughed, took pictures and another was running around into the servers. The previous review here noted "you can bring kids and not worry about them being loud". If you will not discipline your children and they are continuously loud, go to McDonalds. No one wants to listen to that crap. My dad mentioned the experience to the hostess who was shocked. No one takes the time to tell businesses why they are never coming back. If more people would, quality could improve. It only takes a moment. One good thing..you get to take a medium size cup of coffee with you.

After seeing that a somewhat nearby pancake house called "Burnt Toast" somehow managed to get a four star review and Egg Harbor only ranked .2 stars higher I realized that the world is an even more unjust place than I ever knew. Egg Harbor, home of absolutely delicious breakfasts and savoury hot chocolate, is apparently only slightly better than Burnt Toast, home of stale bread for French Toast and excuses for pancakes. This is a shame that mankind could come to believe that Burnt Toast could be compared to any even somewhat decent eatery of the breakfast/lunch (or brunch) variety. If you want good breakfast, go to a supermarket and get what you need there. Breakfast at home will always be better than anything they could ever make at Burnt Toast.

Egg harbour is my favorite go to breakfast place. My boyfriend and I like to try new breakfast places and I just got hooked on egg harbour. We still venture out to other places but I find myself always going back. Their prices are great and the blueberry pancakes are to die for! I usually get the scrambler combo for about 10$ it comes with scrambled eggs that include 3 ingredient of your choice, mini blueberry pancakes, and a refreshing cup of fruit. Also their hot chocolate is amazing. I would highly recommend stopping by for an appetizing and pocket friendly breakfast.

A family favorite for years. Cozy and quaint with bright windows. Great for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Fresh squeezed juices, gluten free menu, veggitarian choices, creative dishes as well as standard favorites. Go early to avoid the usual line, or enjoy a free cup of fresh coffee while you wait. you wont wait long

The food here is very good. I love that they will give you to-go cups of coffee for after breakfast, and there is coffee in the foyer while you wait for a table. But, it is a restaurant that attracts a lot of families and can be very, very loud. This isnt a place for a quiet breakfast with your middle-aged parents.

We like this spot for breakfast - lots of options (including healthy options!) and a fun atmosphere and location (right in Genevas cute shopping district on 3rd street - walk here from the Metra station). Seating is comfortable (works well for groups, kids) and abundant. Can be noisy.

The food is great and I love the big menu but we honestly come for the amazing service. Everyone is welcoming and so good at what they do. With a small child, a quick breakfast is key and we can always count on getting in and out swiftly because the service is so excellent.

My family and I went here on Christmas Eve and all ordered the door county melt sandwich, which was always a favorite. Everyone ended up getting food poisoning and we all began throwing up at the same time for about 5 hours on Christmas Day. Terrible experience.

Food is good. Only complaint I have is that the environment is very loud. Sound carries incredibly well there. This is probably true of most restaurants. I would give it 4.5 stars if fractional ratings were possible.

Ive been coming here for years and now Im really disgusted by the quality of service. My waiter/waitress never offered napkins nor a to go container. The food was disheveled and not appetizing. I wont be back.

A must for breakfast. Sit out on the patio or lawn (inside too loud). Service great, food excellent. Would rate 5 stars if the interior were not so loud...as result rarely go in the heart of winter.

The staff is very friendly and helpful especially it is your first time to the cafe. Also, to add the food was amazing and beautifully prepared. I would recommend this to anyone!

At some point theyll wake up and add WIFI for their customers. The food was good, service fine. Price v. what was on the plate was just okay.

Favorite place to go when coming home. The menu makes it so hard to choose what to get, but everything is amazing, so you cant go wrong!

Open for breakfast and lunch everyday. The menu is very good, much more than a typical breakfast restaurant/diner.
