Weve been coming to this place almost every weekend for the past 4yrs, despite my husbands ongoing protests. And today, finally, was our last time visiting, walking out before actually eating there. Food has always been hit or miss depending on who your waiter is and how the cooks feel on the particular day, and most staff there are quite rude. Today we actually got yelled at by a super rude hostess who felt we deserved being lectured for not waiting inside of the restaurant for 20+minutes!! Seriously??!! We put our names on the wait list at 11:25am. Told the wait would be 20min. We came back at 11:45am, and were told that we missed our slot because weve been called several times 15min ago! ..this would have been 5min wait and not 20min. Please, go learn some customer service skills! Customer is always right! You are always wrong! And if the food sucks the owner will never feel the need to come out and apologize! Never. Please dont waste your time energy and money coming there. If anyone deserves going out of business for serving bad food and treating customers with much inferiority, it is Sweet Berry Cafe in Elgin.

The food at Sweetberry is so amazing! I take my girlfriend all the time, and weve quickly made it one of our favorite breakfast places. The menu has a very wide variety of tasty choices. The foods serving sizes for the breakfast entrees are huge! Ive almost never finished my meal in its entirety! Sweetberry has some of the best coffee you can get at any breakfast establishment, carrying a Kona Hawaiian blend, thats quickly become one of my favorite coffees ever! They also have a very large assortment of creamers of many different flavors. The wait staff can be a little unhelpful, but not all of them! Ive enjoyed stopping in many times! I also have a rewards card that I use every time I go! Sweet Sweet Sweetberry!!! :)

Way overpriced ($70 for pancakes for 4 people) especially considering their pancakes are flavorless and hard as hockey pucks. Waitstaff was great but owner gets very upset if you try to correct your order when it comes out wrong. 2 people in our party had issues. One ordered eggs with their pancakes and the eggs were served with both the yolk and white runny. Looked like a raw egg cracked on the plate. Salmonella anyone? My friend ordered a side of ham which had a texture and tasted like it was out of a lunchable package. The owner refused to allow the orders to be remade. Nobody ate their carboard pancakes, so we left and went to get lunch elsewhere.

This is my absolute favorite breakfast restaurant. Their menu is very unique and priced right. They serve the best coffee and leave the urn on the table. They sell bags of the coffee they brew both whole bean and ground. The servers are all very nice friendly people and I leave there both happy and full every time. You must try this place, but get there early our be prepared to wait. Its no secret that they are awesome.

This place has a membership program in place where you get a card at the front desk, and show it when you come in, to earn points for money off down the road, We have been there three times and each time they told me they were out of the cards. Seems to me they are dishonestly promoting a program by not honoring it. I would not patronize a restaurant that lacks the integrity to honor a program they started.

I arrived at 8:45 am and told them I had a party of 8. I was told to let them know as soon as my party arrived and they would then put my name on a list. 9am we had a complete party 9:30am we couldnt be sat down because a party of 4 wouldnt leave after they had already paid their check. 9:45 they told us it would hopefully be 10 more minutes. We decided to cancel and go elsewhere.

Ive been coming here almost every Saturday morning with my wife for over a year, and we love Sweet Berry. Very friendly staff, comfortable seating, extensive menus, delicious food with great presentation. An extra bonus that I love, theyll leave the coffee carafe on your table for quick and easy top-offs. Lastly, dont forget to get their points card.

This is my granddaughters favorite restaurant. She asks every time she is here if she can go to Sweet berry Cafe. We went this morning for our new year breakfast and she said my pancakes were as big as a skyscraper. This is the one and only cafe I have found that I like to eat at. It is clean and the food is delicious. The people are very polite.

Dont want to prepare a cooked breakfast and too lazy (in my case) to want to sit down then order pickup! The omelettes was amazing - most likely one of the best Ive ever had - maybe it was the farm fresh eggs? In any case definitely far too much to eat in sitting. Next to try are the beignets. Keep a look out for all the gluten free items.

Had a very subpar breakfast skillet with cold uncooked vegetables (not even a basic pan-sear on the onions, peppers, mushrooms or tomatoes), chewy/doughy English muffin (how is that even possible?), and SLOWWWWWWWW service. Not busy at all. Other ratings boast a much better experience than mine; Ill have to give these guys another shot.

This is one of the best breakfast places in the area. The menu offers a variety of breakfast and lunch staples as well as several specialty items that rotate on a regular basis. The staff is always friendly and willing to make any menu item to order. Definitely recommend. Life is sweet! Enjoy it!

This place is great. I love their pancakes. They put a ton of chocolate chips on them. Their bacon can occasionally be overdone and it is a bit expensive. They give you mints after you eat to soothe your stomach cause you honestly want to overeat cause the food is so great.

Always a favorite with the family on a busy Saturday morning . Menu never ceases to amaze with their culinary delights and also just the simple pancakes and eggs are always a sure pick. If you have not been here make sure it becomes a regular stop for great food...

This was our first time there and although its not near us we will definitely be back and recommend to out friends nearby. The food was great and the service was friendly, fast and made sure we were satisfied with everything. Their berry pancakes are fantastic!

I have a monthly meeting at this location. They accommodate us with a smile, good food and great service. The staff are warm and friendly. Only open for breakfast and lunch, you have to get there early if you want to partake of their great food.

Very upscale, this place is my husbands new addiction. Theres always a large portion given for your meal. Inside is very modern and clean. The menu is very unique compared to a standard family restaurant. The service was great

Good little breakfast place, but do not get the sweet potato hash...its pretty much big chunks of boiled sweet potatoes. Manager and waitress took care of it right away though, and replaced with something more palatable.
