I had a very bad experience with this bar. The bar manager refused to let me order an alcoholic beverage because he would not accept "an Illinois State issued temporary" drivers license. I am in my mid-late twenties and recently had a new drivers license issued to me from the DMV. It is a temporary paper license. I am waiting to receive my plastic card license in the mail. All DMVs in Illinois follow this procedure. Not to mention I also had other forms of ID. All of which were apparently not acceptable. Across the street at Iron Horse Ale House I had no problem ordering two beers with my temporary license. Too bad. The owner lost out at some great business. If your the manager and you are reading this you should be kicking yourself for providing poor customer service. Iron Horse was happy to serve me a couple extra beers.

To the group crying racism and bad service, I have not gone but planning to go since they know their crowd and what type of music is enjoyed. Im tired of all this mexican polka circus music like Corridos. Im Hispanic as well and dont understand why this would be thought of as racist. Im sure you would be shut down if it was some other lame music. I have a Mexican gf and we both dislike rancheras and other similar music, its just not everyones cup of tea. There are hundreds of places that play that crap, go there and get over yourselves.

Good food, fair prices, good service! We go as a large group (8+), always get seated together, food is always correct and service is always good! Like the open front when weather is nice! Always willing to put on the game we want to watch. Love the giant Jenga game. Music can be a bit loud, but if you say something they adjust. Overall great place for a bite and a drink.

I had the Mediterranean salad I asked to substitute shrimp for chicken and it was marvelous salad. It was also the biggest salad I think anyone ever brought to me at the table. The bartender is extremely friendly and somehow she seems to know how to make sure everyone has a full glass. You cant ask for anything better than this this place has all the makings of a great place

The staff is not particularly friendly. Even when its not that busy, its like an inconvenience to serve you. I wish it was better. The food is pretty good but service is pretty bad. Thats the whole reason to go out....

I wanted to play music of my choice and the owner of the bar look at me and said,"dont put Mexican music because I will not play it this is not the place for it, I will simply override it". Racism right under are nose.
