I have gone there multiple times but before i can comment on food, their service in terms of how their waiters treat you is un-acceptable. Restaurant closes at 3pm; friend and i went in at 2.34 and we were told that they would not serve us in the restaurant because they are closing shortly....Really??? Went to Himalayan in Niles at 2.45pm ~ and they gladly took us in with excellent service....what a difference. Trust me- go to Himalayan - its better food and but most importantly an exceptional service Time before that - due to slow service they closed their restaurant an hour before. I am not sure who the manager or the owner is but if you are reading this perhaps you need to know that your employees really dont care about your customers as much they should. They certainly dont care if customers walk out stating "lets go to Himalayan"..... ok food, exceptionally bad service and rude waiters...awful awful staff with concerning issues in terms of food safety. Please tell your waiters at-least in front of customers- not to touch my naan with their hands that touched their sweaty forehead prior to touching my food!!

My family and I have eaten there numerous times. Mostly good experience. The food consistency is NOT CONSISTENT-pardon the pun. Last Saturday, the food was below par- the Bhindi was actually sweet, because it was drowning in tomato puree. The Naans were thick and undercooked along the edges. The Calamari (very small tentacle rings with onions)-new for me, had the typical Indian Pakora condiment taste- maybe thats the way they are supposed to taste, but we didnt care for it. I have eaten Calamari at Italian/American and Greek places- totally different- much bigger pieces and not so greasy. We will definitely go back- INCONSISTENCY does have a silver lining.

You do not need to constantly come over to the table and ask when we need to have main course. The most absurd part was when we decided not to have main course after we were full with appetizers. Upon leaving, the manager stops us while going out and tells that going forward we only serve appetizers over the bar counter and for main course we have the tables reserved. Like wtf. There were not even much crowd when we came and no one asked us before seating us if we were only having main course or appetizers. Too much. Who stops the outgoing customers and dictates such stupid stuff. Bunch of attitude-laden people.

Dined for the first time and had very bad experience. Food is kind of good but biriyani was not up to the mark. Truly not a place for biriyani lovers as is it not spicy and tasted like a masala rice. Garlic naan was ultimate soft and good but they brought it over burnt and after the request we got it replaced. Most annoying thing which happened was they decided the number of dishes to be ordered telling some weird restaurant policies. I wont suggest this place for anyone until you are ready to hear their restaurant policies and pay more money for not a deserved food.

Theres seriously a dearth of vibrant, diverse South Asian culinary offerings in Chicago. Which is why Im excited that at least one place is trying to do a few things differently (i.e., include gluten-free/vegan offerings, attempt to change menu options). Regional delicacies are often watered down in favor of something palatable for consumers. We had the paneer, naan, and chicken biryani, all of which were hot, flavorful, and fresh-tasting. Ill definitely check it out again, though, as Im curious about how this place will evolve over time.

Ordered mild spicy malai kofta and paneer mutter - I never realized that mild means you have to put sugar in it - man it was so sweet - we imagined it was a dessert but still could not consume. The mixed vegetable fried rice had the frozen vegetables taken off the put in rice with not even precooking. Sucks wasted my money and a very bad experience. Beware of what you order. I never write a review unless it is very needed. This needed people to know and the owner to make some amends .

LOVE this restaurant!!! Up until this year I didnt eat Indian food. My husband and I ate here for lunch one day and weve been hooked ever since. I love it so much, I brought my sisters, my friends and parents and they all LOVE it. The buffet is not big, but oh my goodness, the food is soooo good and the spices just floods your palate with all kinds of flavors. Everytime I come here I overeat and not because its a buffet, but because I cant get over the flavor of the food

Fantastic Indian food - flavorful even though a little inauthentic. For e.g., my kadai paneer had way too much gravy and it also have some cream in it. Strictly, kadai paneer should not be floating in gravy and it certainly should not have any more than an undetectable trace of cream in the sauce around the vegetables. It should almost be a wok style output. The naans were great as well. Pick this place instead of Aroma Indian Cuisine in Vernon Hills.

Went to buffet. Good atmosphere and tasty food. Didnt find any south Indian specials. A difference I noticed from usual Indian buffets is that they serve Naan and Tandoori chicken directly to the table and they were not placed among other buffet dishes. Also the bill total includes tip amount unlike the usual practice of suggesting various tip amounts, so you may have to add OR REDUCE the bill amount as per the tip youd like to award.

Great food, but poor service. Our server, Carlos, never introduced himself, never took our drink order, and something happened to make our food take more than an hour to arrive. I suspect he forgot to enter the order. We ordered the dinner for two. It was delicious, although not very spicy. Carlos brought the check after we waited another 20-30 minutes. He forgot the dinner for two includes a dessert, we needed to ask for it again.
