Rama and Priya- for starters, Priya: if you plan on writing for public purview, work on your writing skills. It is hard to take comments from such a person seriously. Secondly, Rama: If you were a foodie you would then know that most excellent restaurants pride themselves on the QUALITY of the food and not the QUANTITY. That being said, I am an Indian and have taken many people to this restaurant and will say that by far this is one of the better if not best restaurants in the immediate Chicago area. The food is fabulous by way of taste, the quality of ingredients better than any I have been too (and absolutely even better than most of the restaurants in the north side off Devon that cater primarily to the Indian community), the quantity not to be complained about and the price commensurate with the neighborhood ( maybe actually a little underpriced for the neighborhood). My husband (just an fyi: American) adores this food and can tell the difference between the wonderful difference in quality. A good visit. Oh, and service..not bad but not fabulous. Cheers and happy eating the lovely cuisine. ps: Priya- maybe the taxi stand places and some other Indian places up north do not charge for rice but that is NOT the norm. Get around much?

Ive been here several times and enjoyed good food. I however have a problem with their waiters coming back to ask for more tips. Had gone with a friend today and had to wait about 30mins to get a table. Got 2 buffet lunches and didnt like 2 of the 3 vegetable curries served, so chose not to add any tips. The waiter came back to ask me why I had not added any tips. When told that I had not liked their food, he asked if the service wasnt good enough!! He probably didnt understand that serving mediocre food with good hospitality doesnt make it taste any better. I then added a 5$ tip. In the past when ive visited this restaurant with more than 4 people, theyve tacked on 20-30% as gratuity, 10% tax and expected a 20% tip. So if your food costs about 180$, you end up paying about 270$. Oh and never buy Chicken biryani here.. they just dont know to cook biryanis.

Not worth the money that we pay....being indian and a foodie I thought that i will have a good lunch...but was disappointed..the food was not great...we ordered for 2 lunches and got only 1 serving of the pav bhaji that was on the menu.,,,the dessert was given for the sake of giving it...a sheet of paper would have weighed more than the dessert...definitely would not suggest this place to anyone....there are many better places in and around chicago which serve good indian food...and the website says for the lunch special it is like all we can eat but we are served food on the menu just once...

Staff was very rude and was not professional at all. I placed an order for delivery and after few minutes I received a call from a different unknown number from a person who basically told me that I must pay for delivery. That was a weird call to get so I told him Ill call back the restaurant and confirm. Because of this they assumed that I wont pay tips and left the food at my building reception without telling them apartment number or telling my phone number. I waited for an hour and half and later found out that they left the food at reception telling them someone will pick it up. Not cool.

Went here for lunch and this is hands down the best Indian food Ive had in my life so far. The all you can eat lunch was the icing on the cake and pushed this into excellent category. Food was on point and timely. Staff was attentive to our needs. We paid around $15 each for the lunch special, but you definitely get your moneys worth even if you dont take advantage of the all you can eat option. Whats surprising is that its a rather classy looking restaurant in the middle of nowhere. Only thing that disappointed me was the desert which was just a fried donut hole covered in syrup.

Yummy! I visited this place a few months ago but finally got to reviewing it. I love spicy Indian food and already tried many restaurants in the city. Jaipur, in my opinion, is one of the best. The food here is simply AMAZING. I highly recommend their garlic naan and lamb curry. Mind that you will leave with a full stomach as their portions are quite generous. Can’t wait to go there again -- a great dining experience. P. S. Jaipur is located in West Loop, an area that can become crowded especially on the weekends. Good thing they have free parking right in front of the restaurant.

I have been twice, first time they gave us awesome chicken briyani, hence we went yesterday and we decide we will never go this place. They gave us tamarind rice and there was an indian waiter arguing it was masala for briyani, also briyani they gave us is made with old rice, chef just tossed it with some masala and gave it. Waiter never tries to make one for us, what a shame. their chicken tikka masala without any favour and never ask for spicy they just put some chilli powder on top of it. NO MORE JAIPUR IN CHICAGO. SHAME ON YOU PEOPLE.

The food was "americanized indian food", and couldnt compete with authentic indian or pakistani food places. You pay for the location being close to downtown. Also very overpriced. For 2 people we paid $90 or so. The Chicken Karhai was more like a chicken Curry, than a Karhai. Overall very average food in a busy location. Next time skip it and go to Devon Street for the authentic and quality food. If you want to go our on a date then this is fine as its a good location and a more upscale interior.

First of all the price is too high compare to other hotels . comes to $33 on total. The buffet is served to table where you wont have freedom to choose items as other hotels does. The buffet list have only few which suits only for VEG people . Non-Veg lovers , dont go for it. Service is good but you wont find any briyani and meat (except chicken tandoori and chicken tikka). Bad taste . On the whole had a terrible experience of going there only good item was the Daal, rice kheer and masala tea.

Amazing indian food. Wine/beer selection isnt the greatest. If you are set on having wine I suggest you bring your own. The restaurant is right on Randolph. Great interior is large and quiet. The space lit perfectly and provides a comfortable, private atmosphere for enjoying your meal. Most standard dishes and accompaniments, rice, naan, etc. are cooked to perfection. Sauces are silky and properly spiced. My favorite dish is the Paneer Bhurji. Absolute heaven.
