For delivery, they have a $20.00 minimum order and there dishes are overpriced based on the quality of the food. The only decent dish they had on the menu was the chicken Tandoori but then again its not easy to mess that up if youre an authentic Indian restaurant with a tandoor. I also ordered a chicken Biryani which was a very small portion. To make things worse, they had pieces of chopped tomatoes in a biryani! to likely cover up how bland the rice was. Have never seen that any where lol. Save your money and pick up some real Indian food from a place that will give you a good portion for your dollar and where the food will have some actual taste. Shaan Foods is in the neighborhood and while its not the greatest, its still a no brainer over this place.

If youve never had Chicken Tikka Masala then do yourself a favor and make sure your first time is here. Then all others in the city will fall short of how this restaurant makes it when you try exploring other Indian restaurants and compare how its supposed to be made and taste. This is the best place in the city for Chicken Tikka Masala bar none. The flavors, the creaminess is unlike anything and is well worth the initial trial. Give it a shot and tell me I am wrong. I bet you cant! Make sure to order the regular naan bread with it and enjoy. You will not be sorry you took the chance. I will not go as far as saying they are the best but this is the best version of this dish in town.

I only get food from this resto if I REALLY want Indian food, because neither the food or the service is special. As DJ, (I think he works here!) said below, the entrees ARE rather expensive and therefore, not a good value. The lamb is okay, but the veg soup I ordered was very bland. I placed an order for pickup, and I was told that it would be ready in 15 minutes. I showed up at 30 minutes time, and it still wasnt ready. On asking why, the fellow told me that TWO (2) entire orders came in after mine, so what did I expect? So if you want to experience work done by an offshore Indian team, Little India is an authentic experience!

Maybe its because I had it delivered it definitely was NOT as good as it couldve been. I had the Lamb Vindaloo, Garlic Naan, and Plain rice. The Lamb wasnt as tender as I shouldve been and the sauce had a weird taste to it. Not like indian food should taste like. Its also supposed to be spicy and it really wasnt. The Naan was soggy and the rice not so basmati, more of an american cooked rice but with a metal taste to it.

This place has the most terrible food in the name of desi food. Ordered a biryani ( very spicy) , and a mushroom curry. Please dont think that this is real authentic food. The food we ordered has no spice, or the masala that goes into a real biryani, curry. The rice was stale. Do yourself a favor and dont order from there. Youre welcome!

One of the best Indian restaurants in Chicago! Steps from an el station and Lake Shore Drive, yet very quiet and pleasant. Two liquor stores located within walking distance (one next door!) if you forget to BYOB. The food is as authentic as you can get in the Midwest, and the prices are a steal! Highly, highly reccomend!

Delicious food. My girlfriend and I had the Pappadum as an appetizer which is always a good choice and only $2.00. We also had the Lamb DoPyaza with a side of white rice. Every time weve come here weve got the same thing and everything has been fantastic. Will definitely return again and again.

Wonderful, small, BYOB place. Really friendly staff complements some of the best Indian food in Chicago--we brought friends who have lived in India and both were more than satisfied. Also a great takeout option, but worth the trip with the BYOB and often comped dessert or apps :)

This is such a delicious restaurant. The food is always fantastic . Vegetable appetizer platter delicious; great naans, great palak paneer; great curries . New favorite eggplant and peas in spicy sauce. Oh and the best rice pudding. Staff is great. Portions are generous.

If you want delicious Indian food, at an incredibly reasonable price, served by genuinely nice people, this is the place for you. I love their lamb naan and the "non veg" appetizer will get you a taste of many different meats and is darn cheap.

The Chicken Tika Marsala keeps us coming back at least once a month. I have tried many of their other dishes and they are usually flavorful but nothing extremely impressive. The revamped menu has us interested in exploring the new options.

Best lunch special in Edgewater! I order and pick up at least every other week. Very generous portions and prompt service. I am not an expert in Indian cuisine, so I cannot say it is the real deal, but it is good, palatable food.

I tried giving this place a chance multiple times. The food and waiting staff is very bad. I do not recommend this place to anyone. You can find much better Indian and Pakistani restaurants in Devon Street.

This place is amazing. The food is delicious. PLUS it is a BYOB joint which saves you some cash. I recommend ordering a combo platter -- plenty of food to share and a nice variety.

Best Indian food in chicago imho. Family run unit, almost always have the same server. Authentic quality with options that tone down some of the more wild authenticity. Good prices

The inside is very small, even by Chicago standards. However, the food is very good and service has always been excellent.
