Long story short: Dont come here. Go to sweet tomatoes or somewhere else. To start things off, I would like to adress that this review is not to be taken personally by the emlpoyees for I know how difficult a restaurant (let alone a buffett) can be. The melodramatic customers, low pay, etc... You guys are the only reason why this review is two stars. Golden Coral has been known for a great place to hold family gatherings, large gatherings, parties, etc... Unfortunatly, as of latley, it has become a source of nothing but health code violations, un interested management, and utter disapointment. From the moment you step inside, you cant help but notice your feet getting stuck to the carpet. The air is filled with the smell of grease, cholesterol, and a strange smell of old carpet... For starters, the price for an adult has sky rocketed to $15 over the past couple of years. $15! That said, I was eager to have a plate full of my favorite entrees: steak, mac&cheese, shrimp, corn bread. The food is as to expect from a buffet, but come on guys... The steak was 50/50, meat:fat! For $15 you guys should seriously invest in better quality ingredients. Please. Now lets get down and dirty... Literally. As I mentioned before, the carpet is utterly disgusting. Im sorry, but when your shoes are stincking to the floor and there are visible stains and other random bits of things everywhere its just unacceptable. And just as a little "fun fact", the waitress/waiters fail to sanitize their cleaning clothes when wiping down tables. In other words, all the gunk from other peoples filth is glady re-wiped on everyones tables. This is not their fault. Whoever is in charge should enforce and elicit stricter cleaning policies or at least have waiters/waitress sanitize their cloths. The bathrooms. There seriously needs to be a permanent shift cleaning up bathrooms for as long as the restaurant is open (or when it starts getting busy). Its common sense that when people over estimate what they eat and have low quality fugde cakes after a plate of pizza and French fries, they are going to be in the bathroom... Alot! I dont want to get into the details of how they look, but management, you need to fix that. To conclude, this will be the last time my family and I come to this or any Golden Coral location. I hope this review opens up the managements eyes and any buffet to correct simple mistakes to improve the quality of their restaurants to be a better and safer place for all.

La comida es buena pero el servicio en la entrada principal es pésimo porque cuando yo ya estaba a dentro me devolví a mi carro con mi hija de un año y como avía muchísima gente seme ISO fácil pasar por la puerta de salida y una mujer muy grosera hablándome como si ella fuera la dueña me devolvió para a tras le dige q yo ya via pagado q me degara pasar porque traía a mi hija hembrasos y ella casi gritándome me digo q no q les pidiera permiso a la gente para pasar yo les consego q no se degen de personas tan estupida como esa q son latinas y gual q nosotros y se sienten superiores por eso estamos como estamos por gente como esa

Worst place ever. The food is awful. No basic culinary skills. Heres an example: I figured that I wouldnt go wrong with eating a salad there, low behold I was wrong; they ran out of the mixed salad, so I used a different salad & found a DEAD BUG on the leaf of the lettuce, so like any person thats disgusted by this I reported it, & you wouldnt believe the reply the manager said, "I cant believe this is the 2nd time today this has happened"....Now WTH/F would you do? The manager didnt even offer to reimburse my money, because I certainly dont want to eat there again...we left. I am very saddened that Ponderosa had gone out of business due golden corral, My opinion Ponderosa was the best restaurant/buffet that served FRESH FOODS. Their foods was always served HOT & DELICIOUS. In addition to the guy that tried to do an upscale rendition of Ponderosa, after ponderosa went out business....he too served better food than GOLDEN CORRAL. SO GOLDEN CORRAL since yall are the food business, youve gotten rid of your competitors, So step your game up, Ive been to 2 other golden corrals in the western suburbs, their services was phenomenal (excellent), so in my opinion yall gotta do better, Aurora has to represent.

This place needs to handle their lunch rushes better. I came in when it was almost packed and just about all the cooked food variety was fried. Fried steak, fried fish, fried chicken, it was as if they dont care about the variety when they have a load on their hands. And dont even get me started on the mens bathrooms. It reeked of waste and there were many stains on the floor inside the stalls. I couldnt even go if I wanted to because there were countless piss stains on the toilet seat which of course I was not going to wipe down some idiots mis-aim. Needs better hygiene and food variety. 0/10 repulsive and unhealthy. This is like a ghetto Golden Corral. Not coming again, would not recommend.

I always have a fun time when i go eat there.. the servers are all friendly and the cashiers really funny! I went on a very busy day and honestly it was annoying watching some people complain so much, ive worked at a buffet restaurant before and i know how it is to be busy like that and i have to give them props, i would not be able to handle so much ignorant people and their way to deal with that is great. overall its a nice place to go to when your really hungry. I would recomend this restaurant during the week because weekends are just busy there!

Service - what service ? 10 plus empty food stations. Replaced a meat with twice baked potatoes. (I think thats what it was). Or the tray was left empty. Drink refill - we got our own. Girl manning the grill was more interested in her cell phone. Manager walked past table many times and didnt speak. Food slicer in salad section was left on with no one around to watch it. It was loud and ran an additional 5 minutes. I am expecting to have diarrhea after this meal. If I could have given 0 stars I would have. Can I get my money back ???

Buffets are hit and miss I suppose but on the several occasions I have been here, its always been a miss. No attention to detail or cleanliness. Food on the counters that customers spill while they scope out their portions is not cleaned up. The floors felt greasy and the bathrooms were horrible. If the front of the house looks like it has, Im afraid to see the back of the house. Golden Corral has fallen to my three strikes youre out rule. I try and give a place three shots, if they fail all three Ill never return.

Well, I have been to a few Golden Corrals and was less than thrilled yet I was pleasantly surprised with this location! The food was relatively fresh and well stocked. This was surprising to me because I came in at a non peak time. I must say the service was AWESOME! Vicky greeted me with a smile and was on spot with clearing the used items and refilling my drink. Very friendly and a tribute to this establishment. I hope she gets to see this. Because of her, I will make sure to visit again!
