I had one plate and it made me feel sick. The place was pretty busy, so I really expected a fresh buffet. At least I hoped it would have been fresh at $12 per person. Unfortunately it was the usual week old slop found in this type of place. They use a lot of 5 spices and Siracha sauce. Not that I have a problem with either of those, but its on too many items. We couldnt tell if the pudding was vanilla, lemon or spoiled. Almond cookies were stale (I thought those had an eternal shelf life). On the bright side, some of the items seemed authentic. Fried shrimp complete with eyeballs, squid & mini octopus. At least it looked interesting. They should get rid of the crazy items and the sub par sushi and drop the price to $8.

The ELGIN BUFFET is where I have eaten twice now. As Engineer already noted this is no longer the International Buffet. Different owner, different people but same place and even same phone number. I have had a good experience both times. The selection of foods has been wonderful. But remember this is a buffet. Dont expect $30.00 meals for 12 bucks. The food has been fresh, and tasty. If you are 60 years or more dont forget to mention that for our senior discount. They also have deals for families, free for kids under 3 and reduced pricing for older kids.

No beef on the bar. Only chicken fish, shell fish, & pork. Hibachi had beef. OK great. Chicken Noodle for the soup. Go Figure. It was between OK & great but what really impressed me was the bathroom. Im very picky & this bathroom smelled sanitized not like crap. The stainless steel stalls were polished or at least wiped clean. New trash liners told me they just cleaned it but they did a great job.....

Typical amercanised selection of Asian dishes and some other ethnic dishes. Good food considering the price. My family loves several selections. Small selection of dessert and salad. Pretty crowded at lunch and dinner. Value for money if you have a family of 4 (minimum).Good place for those of us who like Asian foods and have to be on a gluten free diet.

Food was cold and tasted old I will never come here again and the "boss" was inconsiderate and continues to tell me i was the only complaint when I clearly watched a man tell one of the workers the soup and a few other items were cold! I paid 9.26 for "warm" cold food! Never again! Your taste buds must be ruined to eat here what a joke this place is!

Food was ok. Nothing special but not bad. The only reason I deduct 2 stars is because the website advertises as multiple different types of food. All they had was Chinese really and my husband isnt a fan of Chinese so we figured wed try it because it says Mexican and American as well. The only thing "American" in there was fries and fried chicken.

Good food, reasonably priced, staff friendly, servers remove empty plates promptly, and clean. Great for going with kids during non peak times, and tv often has cartoons playing to distract kids so you can eat and chat with other adults with minimal kid interruptions.

The advertising is misleading. This is really just a Chinese buffet. Nothing Mexican and two or three "American" items. You only find out after you pay. Very disappointed in that. The Chinese food was good though.
