Good food, horrible clientele. For a $13 buffet, I was actually quite impressed with the food and selection. The steak was actually really good. Like I said, the food and selection were good, but, the other diners that were there made me decide to NEVER go back. People were just blatantly cutting in line, yelling at the cook "I WANT MY STEAK WELL DONE!!" Then , not even saying thank you (and who eats steak well done? Thats what burgers are for.) At one point, I basically had to shove an elbow in a guys face because he was trying to cut in line when I was reaching for something, normally Id just let it go and wait, I dont need to get to the cake that fast, but after 3 people already blatantly cut in front of me I lost my patience. One lady decided to pick the only dirty table, even though there were a dozen other empty tables, just so she could yell at a server to clean it, wtf? Not to mention everyone there was way overweight, of course why should I care? I dont, but for their sake do they really need to go to buffets when they are on the edge of morbid obesity????? So if one doesnt mind dealing with the dregs of society, by all means check this place out. But if you are like me, and have no patience for rude, inconsiderate jerks go to a nice normal restaurant, hell, White Castle even.

I stepped in hungry, but unfortunately my visit quickly turned into to a live filming of kitchen nightmares. We were first served drinks. The Sierra Mist would have more fittingly been called mist, due to its waterered down taste. Perhaps it was made in back by hand with refurbished limes? Then, on to the food. The rice tasted as though it sat in more water in the buffet pan than in a Vietnamese rice patty. The orange chicken had the authentic feel of being shipped from China via USPS circa 3 weeks prior to being placed into the buffet. The crispy chicken had a 10/10 fitting name, though I wasnt able to determine whether I was chewing through breading or bones. CRISPY indeed. Finally, on to desert. The gummie bears were A+. A true culinary masterpiece. The dounughts were a bit of a let down, though given they had the same color as the wood table, it isnt hard to believe why they tasted the same. Overall, Id rate this establishment 9.5/10. Im trying to lose weight, and this is the first buffet Ive left not hating myself. A most good lunch indeed.

When we moved to Bolingbrook six years ago, we found this place and LOVED it. We went once a week (but never on Fri or Sat as they raised the prices even then.) It had great food - their apples and ham was AMAZING - and the service was as good as the food. I dont know what happened - I know they got new management - but after several really bad trips, we gave up. (We had loved it so much that we kept saying "one more chance".) The food is horrible - what should be hot is cold and vice versa. The fish fillets were once still *frozen*. A broken-tined fork cut my mothers mouth open - she was told "You should have checked it first. " Yes...the service is even worse than the food! The waitstaff are polite and friendly - but the management is truly dreadful. Oh - AND the price went up. In short - STAY AWAY! The Golden Corral in the Aurora area is great - go there!

Love it .come when in town maybe 6 times a year for breakfest or lunch alway good and staff has been polite and check on me at least 3 times great service.Dont really understand some reviews , must be from hard to please folks, past employees or friends. Remember this is a working restaurant where some people dont care or let the kids be messy even adults drop food on floor afterall the staff has to clean it up right and maybe not to speedy they do have more than one thing to do.It is what what you are show some respect, 30% of you I would not feed in my house. Country Buffet (Ryans) lacks in flavor and soggy vegges. Good going GC love it.06 /21/15 will be there for breakfest, yep im in town Dave

My friend and I went two weeks ago. I used to live in Bolingbrook, and their food was sooo good back then. I suggested we try it for a Wednesday night dinner. I was surprised at the lack of people in the restaurant. Dirty, grimy floors, tables not cleaned. I expected to see rotisserie chicken cooking on a spit like that last time years ago. No, not there. after a long search I found the chicken...a small pan with only a few pieces. wow, they were known for the chicken, what happened? And yes, the bathroom was disgusting. The only thing I could make myself eat was the chicken and some salad...everything else looked congealed. Yuck. Not going back there again!

Went there late on a Saturday. They didnt have any steak, people had to wait for the ribs to get done, there was no chicken and they didnt refill it. Waiter was polite but he never did refill my water. My friend had to get refills himself. The floors were filthy, food and debris ground into the carpet and on the floor, and people had walked over it and smashed it in even more. There were kids running all over uncontrolled (that is parents fault but management should have politely said something). From the other reviews this sounds normal. Was passing through on our way home downstate but we will never make this stop again.

I went yesterday and the food was ok. What I ddnt appreciate was one of the waitress tried cleaning the ice cream station, and snatched the bottom part off, which of course got on my clothes socks n shoes. She ddnt offer a towel napkin, she said sorry n walked off. Didnt even clean the icecream off the floor. I told the manager Rosie and she stated Im sorry Ill give u half off next time. She ddnt ask my name, write it down in a book, take a picture, nothing. I guess she will remember my face huh

We had the worst experience ever! We were there for 2 hours and in all that time we never got a server stop by our table. We had so many plates that we had to pile them up to make space. My kids wanted a refill and they asked a server for them and the server said it was their assigned servers job to do that. We couldnt even get refills. When we asked to speak to the manager she just told us to wait and never went to talk to us.

Food was Cold and lookd uncooked...it was $13.49 To get in a person...and left overs you can not take Home...u HAV to pay for a Box To take Home...even if they are just left overs...service is bad and rude...the lady took my left over BIZY right out my had and said if i dnt pay for it..i cant take it Home...AND.brathroom smells like pee...NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN im going To Cis Cis next time ...Its cheaper anywayz
