Formerly, we would ONLY order from East China Inn and did not like anywhere else around here. This place, China Buffet (with a bit of a cheesy looking sign, in an older building) is actually a little gem we discovered next to McDonalds on Galena. It is run by a super sweet husband and wife, open 7 days a week, closed only on one day a year: Thanksgiving. They work hard to make every customer happy, by keeping a smaller buffet so the food stays fresh and hot (the larger the buffets, the longer food sometimes sits- not here!!), and such kind service. The buffet selection is not huge but always fresh & satisfying, and their prices are low. Discounts for kids, seniors and military personnel. My absolute favorite though, is their sushi! This was scary for me at first (I have had some bad experiences at other buffets and thought at first "never again") but one family member worked as a top sushi chef at Shintos and other places, and I have never been disappointed. Very small selection in the buffet but fresh, and even though it does not show on their take out menu, they will make it for take out. They have tons of happy returning customers (check out their walls of happy faces) and they do a raffle every 2 months or so if you write your name in their book with "points" for your purchases.

I love this place. My girlfriend and I live very close and walk here all the time. The hostess, who is always there, recognizes us always greets us with a smile and remembers our drink order. The food selection isnt as big as I have seen in other buffets, but, they have everything that I like and enjoy. We have come in a few times about a half hour before close, while they had stopped bringing in food, we were asked if there was anything they could replenish in the buffet line, then charged us half price for the meals because the options were limited. $6.15 for lunch is great and cheaper than most fast food. $8.15 for dinner beats most restaurants.

The staff are welcoming, the food is great. This is a pleasant experience. A place for friends to come together and enjoy a really great meal. The selection of food is not overwhelming and all the food is cooked to perfection. We have many cherished memories, of dining at "The China Buffet" my friends and I. THEY ARE THE WORST. VERY LITTLE FOOD AND THERES MOSQUITOS. AND MY FAMILY PAYED $76. I DIDNT EAT NOTHING JUST ONE PLATE. YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR YOUR PLATES - DRINKS. AND THE WORKERS ARE LITTLE 9 YEAR OLDS. THEY SUCK DONT GO THERE A WAIST OF YOUR TIME AND MONEY. MY FAMILY WAS SO MAD THAT WE DIDNT EVEN LEAVE TIPS. BAD RESTAURANT.THEY SHOULD SHUT DOWN THIS PLACE.

My boyfriend and I go there at least 1-2 times a week, we love love love there food and we been to Hibachi(buffet) and three other buffets before and will go the extra trip to come here.if you want fresher food, just ask and theyll get it for you. I will remain loyal to this place and never go anywhere else.

Im not sure how this place got 5 stars... Its not a dirty place, and the staff is nice but, blah.... The food was not good.... no flavor, very limited food... This was not a satisfying meal- couldnt finish my plate... Seriously, this is not somewhere to visit if you want good Chinese.

Went here to eat with my two sons.and their father. At first, we were not too sure with it being so small, but let me say the food is really good. They are very friendly and very attentive to making sure you have what you need . worth the $ 8.25. We would definitly go back

For the price ($8.25) youre not gonna find a better chinese buffet, all the essentials youd want and expect. From the outside the place looks like a dive (almost to the point the people I was with wanted to go somewhere else) but its not representative of the food at all.

Well its not the best Chinese food around but its decent for the price. They have more of the well known Chinese foods, they dont have a big variety. If youre looking for a quick Chinese bite for a fair price, this place is a good option.

The people there are very kind and the food was very good. We ordered food for Christmas to give my wife a break from cooking and it was a good choice. You get a ton of food for a decent price. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Food is good and can be made fresh is requested. Decor is filled with family pictures but seating is outdated and old. Sushi rolls are my favorite here. Four stars for good service, family vibe and taste.
