Shameful lack of customer respect displayed by Jose. Ive been eating here for 20 years with NEVER a complaint. Last night I ordered to go. Jose was a bit rude when taking my order, but I dismissed it to him being busy. When I picked up my order, I asked if he (again Jose) had put salsa in the bag. He said yes. I asked him if he had green or mild sauce besides the side of pico de gallo that I paid for, he told me NO. Seriously. Ive eaten there at least 100 times, I KNOW they have mild sauce. To add insult, when I got to my destination, there was NO SAUCE with my order. Not hot, not mild, not green. None. I called Jose to let him know this and he said YOURE WELCOME. So now, hes going to be a smart a*&? When I told him Id place a review on Yelp, he said Good. So there you have it. Being an ignorant smart a*& to a loyal customer is a really bad idea. He cost La Mag and all of the Fernandez restaurants my business. I will certainly share this experience with at least 100 others.

I useally go to lamagdalana about four times when Im in town before I go to my next destination, i enjoyed the circuses (gambling machines jukebox and atmosphere) however my last visit I had a descrepincy with the manager and im not sure hes heard the saying "customer is King and keep em satisfied" Imm not sure if he is cut out for the hospitality industry he might want to check into throwing sod and planting trees he wont have to engage the customer with a smile and gratitude all hell have to do is make sure the sod is lined up evenly and the roots on the trees are covered and stay hydrated. I think im going to explore and look for another restaurant to have fun and spend money in.......man whatta bendeho.

Food is great. Tonight thats all i can say. Been there many other times service was great before. Tonight different story. Had a whole drink spilled on me by waiter. He was very apologetic. The manager another story. No one offered me a towel, club soda nothing. I was so embarrassed i couldnt finish my meal. So at the bill my nephew ask if my meal, and only my meal could be comp. He said "i gave you a free dessert!". Very unprofessional! Felt bad for our server but in the restaurant business they did not make us feel like we were taken care of after the server dumped a full glass on iced tea on my soaked white pants. Very upset!! Not happy!!

With so many better and more affordable mexican restaurants in the area, Id avoid this place. The food is okay, the prices are very high, and the service could use a lot of work. I was there (party of 4) and it took 15-20 minutes to get our drinks, another 20 minutes to place an order, for a half full restaurant - the service took too long and each time we needed a refill, we had to ask. Had to ask for the check, had to ask for to-go boxes. Not a place I plan to come back to.

My husband took me here for the first time last night. When it comes to mexican food im extremely picky.. but i ordered a pina colada and nachos and the tacos... i was in love.. this place is amazing... very good food.. friendly staff.. very homey feel in this place.. drinks are really good as well... my husband and i will come here once a month from now on... i love love love this place for sure...

Been going here for years. Recently got a new manager who has no people skills. Margaritas are inconsistent and many times too sweet. Asked to make it right and he broke out into an argument. We have been happy here for many years with friendly managers in the past visiting three times a week. Unfortunately with this type of attitude we will not be back.

Generally enjoy the food here, although I would say that the quality of the menu had declined over the last few months. The Margaritas are better than some of the other local Mexican restaurants in the area. Service is always good with a friendly staff.

We are vegetarians and go to this restaurant often. The food is great and so is the humble staff. Quality is great. They would also custom make your plate. Like, we may order Enchilida without meat but beans instead with cheese and rice.
