I drive past Diesel several times every week and have noticed there is usually a good size crowd so I thought I would give it a shot. My girlfriend and I took a seat outside and waited...and waited...and waited for someone to serve us. Our drinks were delivered about 20 minutes after we arrived and although my beer was fine, the dirty martini my girlfriend ordered was terrible. Food wise, we ordered some pizza and a salad....which was tolerable. Halfway through dinner I was still waiting on my second drink which I had ordered 10 minutes prior. Sitting close to the bar, I noticed my beer waiting to be picked up by our server - who seemed to have disappeared. I got up and asked a gentleman, who turned out to be the owner, if it was alright to serve myself and he told me "if it is yours". Sensing my frustration, he approached our table and asked if everything was okay. I told him we had read the reviews of this place and thought it would be worth a shot however, it would seem you are understaffed tonight and btw, this martini is awful. He explained that his wife is tending bar and she makes excellent martinis...."it must be that new girl I hired" ...rolling his eyes. Regarding being understaffed his response: "It happens in this industry". He offered to replace her drink but we opted for a beer instead. Now I dont care how good a martini your wife makes, fact is this one sucks and your service....well it sucks too. The icing on the cake is when we got the tab, he comped the last beer yet STILL CHARGED FOR THE MARTINI! What a sleeze! This place blows....lousy service, lousy drinks and an owner who seems to be more interested in taking your money than keeping you as a customer. Ive never owned a restaurant but practices in providing good customer service are universal no matter what industry you are in. Rule number one: Do not blame others....especially if you own the place! I highly recommend this place if you would like to view first hand how not to run a restaurant and if you like to be treated like S&*#.

Let me preface this review with the fact that I have run and owned restaurants for over 25 years. Went Fri. night with my wife for a later dinner (8:30ish). We were very hungry and had had a good experience here twice before. The restaurant was busy. We were greeted immediately but waited a while to place a drink order from a VERY YOUNG waitress who kept calling us "Baby" ("Yes, Baby", "Sure, Baby", etc.) every time she spoke to us. We ordered the Antipasto and a small Veggie Pizza. The Anitipasto had GREAT ingredients but NO dressing of any kind. Not even oil n vinegar on the side. When the Veggie Pizza arrived it was covered in an abundance of large sliced veggies and WATER! The waitress placed it on the table and said " It just looks wet because the veggies are steaming." and hurried off, not to be seen again until she brought the check and a take out box for the half eaten pizza. The meal was a mess but we were VERY hungry and ate some of the parts that were not soaked through. She never asked how the food was (she knew the pizza would suck) even after I tried to refuse the to-go box. She just dropped the check and the box on the table and never came back. We were tired and did not want to deal with a manager so we paid the check, left a very modest tip and will probably not return. Theyve got much to learn about making Veggie Pizza (thin slices, or sweat veggies first, etc.). But most important is theyve got even more to learn about good customer service. Theyre busy now because of the patio and location but this wont last if they dont step up their game.

My boyfriend and I decided to stop in last night for a quick bite, which became about a hour and a half ordeal. First, they had all the doors open since it was a beatiful evening outside, which was great. So, we grabbed a table on the inside right next to the open doors. Everything was fine until a couple of bikers decided to sit outside next to us, and they quickly started chain smoking, blowing all their smoke into the restaurant. We asked to move since they told us they allowed smoking on the patio area (not all restaurants do). The worst part of all was that we ordered a simple pizza with meatball topping, and it took about 1 hour to get it. I have never seen a pizza take so long to cook! It was hot when we got it, so I know it just came from the oven. But what takes so long to get an order going?? We had not been here in about a year because we had similar experiences in the past, hoping it would have changed with experience. But, sadly it did not. The pizza is decent, the atmosphere is great, but the service is downright terrible. Oh, and there is an older guy that seems to manage the staff and he was angrily yelling across the place at the waitresses very inappropriately. It made us very uncomfortable and he shoud have done this in private. I would not recommend spending your money here, there are better places in downtown Roswell and elsewhere.

Just have to say, Ive given this place 5+ chances. Service always subpar. Last time wings were raw in the middle. So after I tried one and found out it was raw, manager came out to put my wings back in the microwave, yes the microwave. After ordering 12 raw wings they threw away the wing Id taken a bite out of and presented me with my 11 microwaved wings. This place is just unacceptably bad and gets its business due to location and naïveté of the clientele who go there. Talk to anyone who frequents dt Roswell and theyll mirror this sentiment. I usually get the same waitress and she doesnt know the difference between an IPA and a pizza. I think shes usually under the influence of something though. The reason Im posting is that their real estate is simply too prime for such a sub par establishment. I hope either the management read this or they get bought out...too good of a location for such unacceptable service and food. Go back and read the reviews on yelp and urbanspoon among other sites, youll see a similar pattern for years...

Been here several times, apparently the old man ran Every one off that used to be able to cook a pizza. After waiting 30 minutes on my pizza, my mother and brother, who was in town that I was so excited to show this place to, and wife waited 30 more minutes and ended up with uncooked dough! After the 30 minutes I had no coke left or service, so walked to the bar for a refill. The old man said step away from the bar, I said sorry just trying to get the coke I paid for and Im getting no service at my table and an uncooked pizza, while waiting for said coke he came back and YELLED at me asking of I was deaf and to get away from his bar (several other customers were now being yelled out and had walked off at this time)! Are you joking, I get it your server admitted the chefs were clueless, but for you to yell at me for asking for a refill on a coke I paid for with an uncooked pizza? Yea right. Never coming here again. Unfortunate that place is going to be ran to the ground.
