I would not give five stars only because you have to be real careful of what time of the day you choose to dine in. The cons for delicious authentic food is busy peak hours. After several visits I realized that for weekends we will choose breakfast (by 11:00 am before it gets packed and the band starts to play) I personally dont like loud places to be eating at. On late nights however, some lonely people not only go to eat but they actually stay a good while and leave drunken. I dont have any complains about the food, except when my sons order fried fish and it was burnt. The "MOLKAXETE" is my favorite, I always share it with my daughter and we might have extra meat to take a couple tacos home. I have also ordered they Catalinas chicken for catering (an average of $11 p/p) for parties. In very few places waitress know the fact that even if the husband is the one ordering the food and asking for extra napkins condiments etc,. is actually the wife who end up determining the value of her tip. were a family of six, for a bad attitude we had left only $4. SO basically if you dont mind loud places (juke box, mariachi, singer) boozed people, or waitress that will refill only your husbands "michelada", yes this is a very delicious food (just skip the fish and kids chicken nuggets) everything else is well worth it and actually affordable.

Las meseras bien mal encaradas y con un mal gusto pa atender pero estaban muy sentadas con dos clientes echando platica y querian atender rapido pa regresar a platicar que les pagan por platicar o es servicio extra de hay las puedes sacar o son cinqueras no dijeron pero le hubiera pagado por un buen servicio solo me atendieran bien en lo que pedi el cocktel sin limones no me dio vaso para mi soda una le pedi uno se encabrono le dije si estaba enojada y dice que no asi les dice el dueño atiendan pa que uno se large pronto y llegue mas gente a comer

If you had to look this place up on your GPS, you will never find it . On the exterior of the restaurant looks like an old grocery store or 7 eleven! Secondly , when you enter through the front its a grocery store (WTH)! ...... No need to fear my friend let the cilantro and pico de Gayo guide the way! Walk straight to the back and its a huge restaurant with all of my Latino brothers and sisters throwing down! Bruh! This place was packed!... The only way I can describe it......is like Freaknik, but brown! Did I mention, there were over a half dozen bonitas running in and out of the kitchen unfortunately, only a handful of the wait staff speak good English. So you better amp up your Sesame Street and Dora the explore skills, but I personally do not have a problem with that!...cuz I am NOT here to talk but to eat! Everything tasted great , and I smashed 3 chicken tacos in 12 seconds! The best surprise of all was the cheap bill! I paid about $24 for 4 people!.... Finally, shout to the mariachi band doing the dubstep! Cheap eats, good food, game over!

Authentic Mexican Tacos. Catalina a mini grocery store and cantina in one. The grocery store sells fresh fruits, meat, snacks and even fresh bread. I have not tried those yet, but the real gem is in the cantina side of things. Dirt cheap tacos (1.50 each) that taste like south of the border. Favorites include Al Pastor (tomato marinated pork) and Lengua (Beef tongue). Dont be fooled by the price; two tacos is usually enough for me as they serve free flow nachos and a small bowl of soup when you get seated. Hands down the cheapest, yet one of the tastiest food around the airport. The only downside it is a hole in the wall place that may scare some of you. Dont be such a bourgeoisie and come enjoy this amazingly affordable fare.

Antes tenian mejor servicio y la comida un sabor distinto les cuento pedimos menudo y birria y descubrimos que usan el mismo caldo para ambos solo ponen la carne en el plato y le hechan el caldo y eso es todo lo mismo pasa con el pozole e imagino que algunos otros platillos el servicio tarda mucho necesitan mas meseras

Food is authentic mexican. No tex-mex here. This not for the average person. Youll have to be open-minded when going. This is a small local grocery store with a restaurant in back. Lots of tables and chairs. Home DJ plays music from his ipod attached to a big speaker. Food is good and cheap. I had tacos and shrimp cocktail (watery) Staff is not customer service oriented. They take cash or card.

You are in for a huge surprise when you arrive. The outside of the restaurant looks like a convenience store. But go inside and you will find a large open restaurant in the back. And the food is AMAZING PERIOD! And its soooooooo much you cant eat it all! Heres the best part. I had lunch with a friend of mine. The total $ 21.06. I will be back.

Not happy with this place at all. I went in with a buddy of mine to grab some lunch so we went to the counter to order. We had 3 waitresses look at us and pass right by. We thought hmm maybe we have to sit and they will come to our table but after 15 minutes of no one coming to even get our drink order we left. I will not be returning here.

Very bad experience. My husband and I are African American. We were treated very bad when we went there. We stood there for about ten minutes for someone to take our odorder. Finally we asked for some help and they were very rude. My heart is very heavy. I cant say it enough about prejudice still exist.

It is disgusting I found a hair in between my the cheese & meat in my quesadilla I should of know something was up when I went to pay at the cash register when I saw roaches crawling and the cashier wiping them away so nobody would see thats very disgusting.

Everytime I go there the staff in the "restaurant" have bad attitudes and the customer service is horrible. My food sits there unti I ask about it and the prices on their menu is not what they charge at the register!
