My wife and I ate at Aria on a weeknight for our anniversary. We had really high hopes considering the positive reviews we read, but left somewhat disappointed. The ambiance of the place was very nice, although it was very loud. We arrived ten minutes before our reservation and were taken to the bar where we waited until about 15 minutes past our reservation time before being seated. I wasnt crazy about the additional wait. For dinner, we got the seven course tasting menu. The service was very spotty. With some courses, there was about 5 minutes between them, and with others we waited nearly thirty. Overall, we are there for 3 hours which was far too long for seven courses for two people. Our waiter complained a couple times to us that he was having the move between floors. He was very friendly, but just inconsistent. The food was good, but uninspired. The meals were traditional fine-dining fare such as scallops, foie gras, short rib, duck breast, etc. Everything was good, but just good and not great. The chef used the same garnish/salad for nearly every dish and the dishes seemed fairly simple. The highlight was the perfectly cooked scallop and the tomato soup. They raved on the short rib as the "finale" and I found it underwhelming. Ive had much better short rib preparations at much less nice restaurants. I enjoyed the duck confit (although the dish was again, simple) and I found the yellowtail hamachi very lacking and a bit bland. Overall. the price tag of this establishment doesnt fit the quality of the food or service. Our bill was ~200 before tip w/ no alcohol. They also charged us $12 for two glasses of sparkling water, which is a pet peeve of mine. We had an alright time, but probably wont be back.

Many ways to enjoy the evening at Aria. Earliest table reservation I could get at this very popular place was 8.45. We arrived at 7.30, checked in and settled into the very chic and comfortable bar area. Time passed quickly as we talked easily (it is quiet and cozy in the bar), sipped wine, people-watched, and had some wonderful appetizers. Both the lobster and the scallops tasted great and the whole course was very effortlessly and pleasantly served. If the evening had ended there, it would have been wonderful. While we lost track of time, the host did not. We were escorted to a nice table in the beautiful main dining room and greeted by a helpful waiter with a great personality. I had the red snapper and she had the trout. We couldnt decide which was best because they were both out of this world! What a fabulous place to take a date. It is as if I planned a whole evening of places to go and pleasant experiences, and all I really did was book a table at Aria!

Called to confirm reservations as per text and informed them we were celebrating our 20th anniversary as they requested to know per their text. Didnt even receive a "happy anniversary ". The meal felt rushed. The service was good, especially the secondary waiters. But, very overpriced and extremely small portions. Even their "entree" portions. They only have about 6 items that are "entree" sized. All others are appetizer sizes per our server. So why not just put them all under appetizer? Scallops pairing wasnt the best...corn, green beans and bacon. Scallops couldve been seared a bit more. The warm chocolate cheesecake isnt chocolate. Its a swirled cheesecake with more plain than chocolate. The lemon cake was paired with cooked plums. Why? Did enjoy our night out, but more the company.

We went to Aria to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. It was our first time there and while it was good I was expecting the menu to be a little more interesting. We both enjoyed our entrees but I was a little underwhelmed by the options. We ordered extra toast for the left over cheese from the appetizer which took a little longer than was expected. At the suggestion of our waiter, we ordered the homemade Cheesecake for dessert and it was exquisite. The next time we go we may order the tasting menu to see if thats where Aria stands out. The service was exceptional.

They have drastically reduced their food taste & quality Aria used to one of my top-most restaurants to eat at, unfortunately during my last visit it looks like they have dropped the ball on food taste & quality. The butter braised lobster (appetizer) smelled fishy so much that it was unpalatable. The slow braised lamb shank jus was very off putting, tasted very awful, and the selection of vegetables that comes with the entree was poorly prepared, very greasy and didnt complement the dish at all

FOOD: Worth every penny! EVERYTHING was delicious! A-mazing dining experience! I did not take one disappointing bite, this dining experience was certainly multiple orgasms for my taste buds. AMBIENCE: excellent balance of modern, classic, fresh and comfortable SERVICE: to quote someone else "unpretentious attentive service" COST: Pricey but worth it! You get what you pay for. ADVICE: Do not be afraid to experiment here. Try something new, your taste buds will thank you.

Excellent. Went last night for the first time. Better than Bacchanalia. Food is as good or better than any fine dining restaurant (the scallops entree and the foie gras appetizer were two particular standouts), but the portions are considerably more generous and the atmosphere is pleasantly relaxed. No hustle or pretense, just innovative, masterful food with casually perfect service. Thank you for a great experience.

Food was great but you got so little of it. the lobster starter was 23 dollars, but all you got was a tablespoon of the puree and a little bit of lobster. The entree was even worst for 30 dollars I got 3 scallops and a tablespoon of each of the 4 sides. If it wasnt for the great bread I would have left there very hungry!!!!!!!!! So if you are hungry Aria is not the place to go.

The dishes are elegant yet approachable, like taking things like a crab cake or pork shoulder to the next level. Its a bit outside its competitors southern tendencies but not too outside. It will be one of your more technically well done dishes, but other restaurants may be more creative with their menu. Our service though was outstanding. Knowledgeable without being pretentious.

If you are looking for an incredible meal in Buckhead away from the more frequented areas, Aria is your spot. The Braised Meats are the way to go! I had the Short-Rib, and it was lean with no fat and delicious. The portions are not large so be prepared to order a salad + entree if you have a big appetite. The drinks are also great so live it up and order it all if you can!

first you have to get over the location (in the parking lot of a seedy motel), then get over the decor (chandelier that looks surprisingly like genitalia). once you are beyond those, the food is great, with great presentation and good taste. each course was fantastic, particularly dessert. however, i dont know if aria deserves the title of "best food in atlanta."
