Horrible . if I there was an option to not have selected a star I wouldve. do not waste your time going to this golden corral. The cups and plates and silverware were nasty .. Old dried food ostuck on them. Everytime we got a drink something was floating in it.They couldnt manage to cook sweet potatoes casserole correctly . They burned it everytime. The steak .. Never cooked properly after 3 times I gave u . The last one was just raw asked for medium rare every time. I barely ate majority was given back on the plate to waitress. I called over the manager (older caucasian guy) he said because wed been there for 45minutes he couldnt refund. he made excuses for why things were the way they were . never acknowledged the nasty silverware cups or plates. Apology not sincere. He offer to have things made over to make me happy,after waiting 20 minutes and him never following up to let me know this is being prepared etc. Me and my family left . I followed up with the owner for that location . He didnt get to me for weeks. I called him a few times. Let him know about my experience he said well let me speak with the manager on duty that night and get back with you . never called back. Ive called him a few times. No answer. Waste of $50. Never again. Health inspector needs to be called.

My family visited this restaurant yesterday and were completely shocked at how bad everything went. When we walked in we noticed that almost all of the tables were dirty, ALL of the floors were a complete mess (Food, trash, paper, etc) and the service from the staff was non-existent. We had to shuffle around the store without any help from the staff to find a table to seat at. Once we found one (Took about 5 minutes) we got settled in and went to serve ourselves. All of the food we had (With the exception of the beverage) was terrible. Not only did the areas surrounding the food a mess but the food itself was absolutely disgusting. I was shocked to see how bad everything was. Once we tasted the food I thought about requesting a manager to immediately cancel the order but then I remembered how bad the staff service was and could only imagine the same quality from a manager. Honestly, I do not plan on ever visiting this or any other location any time soon.

I understand that employees take breaks. What I dont understand is how a table that seats 4 (Two were obvious employees, while the two others were friends) could carry on in the fashion as they did. Did they not realize there were other paying customers at the next table over? Did they not realize other people could here their cussing and ranting? More employees would then come by and hover the dividing partition. Hanging out, being overly loud and obnoxious. At one time 7 employees were socializing, bumping my chair, and knocking into my table. Employees were grazing each others plates. Laughing with food in their mouths is not a sight I want to see, especially when Im eating. Not one apologized. I expect this behavior from children, not grown adults or employees. This restaurant lacks any standards if it is willing to hire individuals that have zero tact. I definitely will not be back.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I am a big buffet fanatic and have been enjoying them ever since I was a kid. I love to get a bang for my buck and golden corral does just that. People need to understand its a buffet and youre getting what you pay for.you want fanct or 5 star then go.i went yesterday and the food was hot and fresh and nothing was ever empty. I saw them replenish many items while i was there as well. I didnt eat dessert or use the bathrooms but my server was great and checked on me often. All staff i encountered was polite as well and the food tasted great as always.i think its all in perception...but you cant expect to pay $13 to eat unlimited and feel like youre in heaven at the same time lol. I am gojng to start going to golden corral at least once a week now and most likely the decatur location only.

This is my second time eating here and both times I was extremely disappointed. So much so that I left without getting a refill or a second helping (which I normally do). The rolls were hard, the options where under a heat lap for long periods of time (you can taste the bulb in the food), nothing was fresh, and the plates and flatware were definitely breeding grounds for food poisoning. Even though our server was very nice and attentive, the other servers were upset that she guided us to her section (not mad at her she had the worst section in the building). This will definitely be the last time I eat at this location.

We have eaten at a LOT of Golden Corrals. Some in Georgia and a few in Tennessee. This was by far the BEST one we have eaten at. They were extremely busy and had a lot of chaos due to a lot of unruly children. The food was the best weve had. Our server was very attentive, which was a difficult job, because of the chaos. This store was running like a well oiled machine. We were there at 2:53 on Sunday March 5th. The manager on duty was Diane Hutchinson. We spoke to her about our exceptional experience. She deserves praise for her ability to handle the extreme rush with what appeared to be a calm and steady hand.

First, they need to be taught how to cook the already horrible tasting foods. Even the vinaigrette dressing tasted awful. Oh, sorry, the fried chicken was wonderful. Who makes a salad that taste awful, before dressing? The cashier was very nice, the very little help they did have, were cold and racist. I will never go, or tell anyone to go there, ever. I am just nauseous thinking about the money, 56.00 we wasted taking a chance at eating at this restaurant location. We usually eat in Henry County on 138, and are well pleased, so I know that its not all Golden Corrals. We deserve a refund or half off.

Greeted by teenagers who didnt acknowledge the fact that we were present. They continued with there conversation while we wondered where should pay. Cashier continued conversation with co-worker as she rung me up, I waited til she noticed me handing her my money. It was very unprofessional. It didnt feel like a restaurant at all and more like a cafeteria. Waitress wasnt around much. Just felt like you hire a bunch of people without you giving them standards of what customer service should be. Most of the food wasnt hot/fresh. Definitely wouldnt recommend that store to anyone.

So me and my mom usually go to this location because its in the area... We happened to go today not to mention we usually go on the weekends; my moms food was cold when we got to our table, we had to exchange plates multiple times before preparing our food because it had residue from previous food on it which is a big health hazard... we waited for the steak but I guess they confused well done for well burnt because it wasnt tasting too well... nonetheless on the weekend the food seems to be much better on weekends although it is crowded on the weekends...
