I really dont understand the rave about this place. This has to be, by far, the worst BBQ Ive ever had, all the way to the corn bread. The chicken was bland and dry. The brisket was greasy and tasted like fake meat/fake smoke. I had the sweet potato souffle and the cornbread dressing. The souffle had a tart, perfume flavor that made it inedible. The cornbread dressing, which had the most potential to be decent, comes smothered in a salty sad excuse of gravy that does not belong with it. The BBQ sauce that they give you to dip is a requirement to get past the harsh flavor of the brisket and not even that tastes good. The sauce tastes like someone took store bought BBQ sauce and added some liquor as an afterthought. The corn bread was dry and boring. No wonder it ends up as a dressing side. Service leaves a lot to be desired but I came to eat, not to be served so I wont even bother to write about that. Bottom line is that if youre going to charge an arm and a leg for two pieces of fatty brisket and an anorexic and dry chicken breast, you should put more effort on making the food taste good. First and last.

Hit this GOLDMINE looking for some quality food on an extended roadtrip. SOOOOO GLAD WE FOUND THIS PLACE!!! Prices are cheap for real (not processed) food. I had the chicken wrap...yummy! If you like places like Panera and Chipotle BUT want all the options of grandmas kitchen, you wont be disappointed. I met the owner who was hanging out there on a weeknight. His interest in his establishment guarantees a consistently great product and the kind service that you expect in the South.
