We went to the restaurant with my wife and mother for a meal. Now, my wife and I had been up all night with my brother-in-law who was in an accident and is in the hospital so we were not our sharpest with about 2 hours rest. Were greeted and seated promptly. The waitress arrived and took our drink orders, they arrived correctly. While looking over the very tattered and falling apart menu I opted for the Stuffed Grouper. I requested some bread and received some grilled sandwich buns with Parmesan cheese sprinkled on it, I think. BIG MISTAKE ordering the grouper. While others ordered a burger and a vegetable platter. The fish arrived and looked bland and white with something drizzled on the end. The fish was not grouper, maybe Tallapia, but that was the least of my problems. The crabmeat that was brought out to me had a odor that smelt rancid and looked slimy in appearance, but I was not positive what was bad. So I started to eat the fish and soon the odor drifted across the table to the other diners and they inquired about it. Once the looked a little closer at it they realized that the fish or crabmeat was rancid. I called the waitress back over and requested a manger to visit the table. A young man came over and asked if there was a problem. I showed him the plate with the rancid food on it and asked him to take a smell, he said that it smelled bad. I asked him if he would eat it and he said definitely not, yet you brought this to my table and expected me to eat it? He said he would replace it with another, meal but I chose not to eat anything else if such little care and concern was taken with the first meal. Soon after I left the restaurant I became to feel nauseous and with in twenty minutes of leaving the restaurant I was vomiting. I feel that the entire meal should of been compt but they decide to only comp the fish portion. Sadly I will never ever step foot into this restaurant again. Even though they said the would like me to return, REALLY , After I was Poisoned with what you served me. Thanks, but now Thanks

Look. The food was pretty tasty I wont lie. BUT the service was horrible. They left our poor waiter to handle our group of 13 by himself even though we were nearly the only ones in the restaurant. I cant blame him for the service because he should have had major help but my drink was continually dry and I think I got only one refill the entire dinner. The bar is a JOKE! Super tiny booths that we managed to jam 2 people per side into but really seem to be made for one person. The bar didnt have any ciders to offer (one if the fastest growing segments of "beer" by the way) and they couldnt make a Moscow mule for lack of ginger beer which is probably THE most popular drink right now. Only 6 options on tap? Really? Got to the table and the limited wine selection didnt give us many good options but we ordered 2 of the best red on the list and needed a third but of course, they didnt have anymore. It was like a circus in this place. Doubt I would ever go back unless reviews to the opposite of mine start piling up.

Today we were blessed with an incredible Houndstooth catered BBQ buffet spread at McEver Rd Church in Gainesville, GA. The owners of Houndstooth are amazing! The food was delicious!!! Absolutely no words to describe the ribs! "Best Ive ever had" could be heard at every table. But wait... thats what everyone said about the Brunswick Stew. Presentation was 5 Star also. If you have an event coming up and want to be sure you have "fail-proof" catering, you must call Yanis and Angel at Houndstooth. They offer any menu you are considering and believe me when I say... you will be very pleased with everything! We have used their catering services multiple times for multiple events (wedding, rehearsal dinner, church event, etc). Houndstooth is the best in Northeast Georgia! I just got home from houndstooth. The food was excellent but the service and lack of attention left much to be desired. My wife and I arrived at 6:35 and were seated promptly for a Friday night (about 10 minutes after we arrived.) However we waited well over an hour for our food to arrive. We ordered drinks which took about 20 minutes to arrive after being seated. After an hour of waiting my wife asked for a manager and then our food suddenly arrived. The manager arrived half way into our meal and said he would do something to make it right but nothing was done. We have not asked for anything in the year and a half we have we been together and that was not the point, we just thought he should about the situation. This will not be the place we choose for further date nights.

Loved the Ambiance. I sat at the bar, it was warm and inviting, and this was during the daytime, but still very cozy. I ordered a Sam Adams, and got a menu. It was Prime Rib night, I was going to order that, but changed my mind, and went with the Filet Minion, I was glad I did. It was perfect, with the grill lines and everything. I ate all of it, not one piece of fat at all. That along with a nice Baked Potato, I felt so good, haha. I wasnt done though, had to get desert, had the Creme Brulee, it was soooo good!!! I will be stoping there again, if Im near Atlata, Definately!!! Prices were Fair Food was Great, and lots of Charm, great service too. The Driver

I was hoping to share the wonderful experiences others had shared in their reviews. I visited Houndstooth last Monday August 8th. Unfortunately I was not as lucky. The ambiance was there. The server was friendly and efficient. Unfortunately all was ruined by my meal. I ordered the chopped steak with red skinned mashed potato and green beans. I was served two frozen hamburger patties smothered with a cold lumpy tasteless gravy. The red skinned mashed potato was not fully cooked so I had large chunks of uncooked potato. The only pleasant experience were my green beans. Maybe they have other items on the menu that is more pleasant to the palate. This was not it.

Sat at the bar and ordered off the trio menu; grouper, artichokes and beef sliders. Food good but was slow to get out and service is understaffed. This is not the first time this has happened. Bar was full as well as the surrounding tables and booths. The bartender was all by herself and did the best she could. She lost tips and some customers left. The manger came out for a few minutes, left and never came back. Management needs to get it together and if it requires to pitch in and help, do it or you will continue to lose customers. Very disappointed tonight.

Waited nearly 10 minutes today at lunch just to be seated. Not busy at all. Then waited nearly 15 minutes before the waitress took our drink order. Placed our orders of 2 classic burgers. No lettuce, tomato, pickle or onion on the plate. Burgers were smaller than 1/2 lb, more close to 1/3 lb. Meat was dry, no flavor. I dont know whats happened, but the service and food has gone downhill since the last time we dined here 6 months ago.
