This restaurant was a huge disappointment. I was brought out drinks I did not order. My order did not come out correctly the first time. In fact, it came with an ingredient on it that I stated as an allergy. They took it back.. then they brought the burger out under cooked and with the wrong side. They said they would comp at least my meal but they did not at the end probably because they had to order three burgers... and I got to finally eat my meal after the entire table was done. The fact that they retracted their offer to comp my meal after they brought me out in total: the wrong drink, the wrong side, the food at the an incorrect temperature, and put on my original plate an item I requested to be held due to an allergy is really low. The lady who was acting as a manager acted like she was shocked that I would have the audacity to complain. She was taunt and insincere. The restaurant should not only consider retraining their kitchen staff but they should put out an ad for a new manager. Hope no one else gets bad service because, you too, will have no satisfaction from management. This is apparently a place where you eat what they want and you wont complain about it. Stay away!!

I have been visiting Mystic for years, each time with the hope that they will have improved. My last visit dashed my hopes to the ground thoroughly. At the bar I was served a gin and tonic. $9.90!!! And I couldnt even taste the gin. I ordered my favorite dish, the Sweet Tea Fried Chicken. As usual the mashed potatoes were cold and so was the gravy. Also, was charged $2.00 to exchange one green vegetable for another green vegetable. For years the service has been SLOW! One time my sisters and I waited 45 min to get salads for lunch and the place was empty!! Oh, one night they were out of their house wine, the servers suggested a wine to us, then charged us $16.00 for the glass. I feel they are taking advantage of their clientele with the lousy service and gouging with prices. Two nights after my gin and tonic experience I went to the Irish Bred Pub and was served a very strong gin & tonic...for $7. And the food was tasty, hot and served in a timely manner. Only reason to go to Mystic is for the night life on the roof top.....but be sure and order a bottled beer.....they dont put any alcohol in their mixed drinks! Disappointed :(

It was very crowded and that was expected. We headed up to the rooftop where we can usually find a seat anytime during the week. This was a Friday night though and there was a young man playing, what I normally think would be good rooftop restaurant music. The only problem was that he was playing it on volume 10. My head was vibrating. Our order was wrong. We did not get our appetizer and instead got a bud light. Two of the four if us received the wrong side orders with our food. Our very large burgers were all cooked to the next level of done than what we ordered. Much of the beer menu is marked through so the selection was limited. Why would I normally could care less. Its a bar and grill after all. It is, however, a pricey bar and grill. If you are going there to be a part of a TV show and get that experience, enjoy! If you are looking for a meal that the price alludes to, try someplace else.

If I could give this restaurant zero stars I would. I walked in with my two young children and got the distinct impression that I was not welcome with them. After we were seated they informed us that we would only be given the limited menu since the full menu did not start till 5pm (okay I understand no big deal). But I have food allergies and this restaurant was advertised as being food allergy friendly. After I told them my allergies she infomed me that I had exactly one option and no side options. The one option was a $15 ahi tuna filet with not toppings, no bun, and no sides! Yes thats right $15 dollars to get a naked piece of fish. They didnt even have glutenfree buns. We did not stay. I am very disappointed.

The food is extremely accurate to the menu and the backstory of the restaurant is very interesting and brings back a lot of history. The server was very nice and polite, and the food was delicious! Its old style fashion brought the community together as the waiter said. The door room looked amazing with doors from abandoned houses. Although this place is expensive, it is reasonable with the quality of the food. If youre out of state, and wondering about a good place to eat, this is the place. The waiting area is very comfortable, but it is packed during the dinner rush. We didnt wait long for our table because a lot were open at 4:00 pm. Gift shop items for the Mystic Grill are soled in The Alley Gift Shop.

Arrived around 2pm on a Sunday for lunch. Waited for a server for 10 minutes and right before we were going to leave, the young lady who was the hostess took our drink order. We got our orders placed and waited 45 minutes for 3 burgers and 1 additional plate of fries. One of the fries orders was literally room temp and one of the burger orders was wrong after that long wait so it kinda bothered me. Overall, the food is alrighy but the wait for everything was poor. We werent the only ones waiting and aggravated about it either. I dont like complaining about prices because it isnt exactly a commodity that a restuarant provides. But for what it was, the burgers were not worth the price of admission.

We visited Mystic Grill by referral from Custom Tint and Sound for the first time about two ago and to our surprise this place was awesome. Who would have thought this was available in downtown Covington. Our waitress suggested the pork tacos as a starter and it was amazing. Our dinner was great! I had the shrimp and girts. My husband had the pork chop dinner that came with sweet potatoes and collard greens. We were shock at how tasty the collard greens were. The atmosphere was great! My son who is vegan wanted a veggie burger, which it is normally not served during dinner (lunch only) however, they accommodated him. This was just an overall great experience. We will be returning soon!

Walked in the door and immediately ignored by 3 teenage waitresses/hostess because they were talking and playing on phones. I went with my brother Because we had never went before figured we would try it. In no way was I rude but they were. After finally getting a meneue we decided not to eat here. The food options are limited and pretty basic and very expensive, I guess you pay for atmosphere? Every single employee looked like a 15 girl witch is troubling considering this place is owned by the mayor and secretly failed several health inspection. But 2 stars because for some reason when I walk by everyone seems to be happy ╮(╯▽╰)╭

Am a regular customer, have eaten here 2-3 times per month since it opened. Generally very good food and service. Tonight, after waiting 45 minutes to be seated, it was 90 minutes from the time our table of 4 was seated, until we received our meals. Other tables around us were also experiencing long waits, and though the restaurant was full, I have seen it much busier, and had not had such a long wait. When we complained to Manager "Ronnie", he offered a free desert, which we passed on since we had already been there 2+ hours. Felt that he could have done more to make things right. Spent over $150 between the four of us.
