The staff here is excellent... if I was to be joking of course. After being told countless times by friends not to come here we went for it. My wife and I entered Friends Sports Bar & Grill for the first time on May 2nd to try it out. So I walk in with my wife through the first door (theres two doors). There was a younger lady cleaning the glass on the doors. When I went to open the second door the brown headed girl told me to wait. Let me get this straight, I am coming here to eat and youre telling me to wait for you to finish cleaning a window? Thats not terrible, it was another 20 seconds and we were inside. The same girl who was washing the window got us to our seats at a booth right behind the bar seating. When we sat down we found little pieces of lettuce and other scraps left over from the previous guests. We then asked for someone to do a better job on cleaning it off. About 5 minutes (Yes, 5 minutes) a younger kid came over and washed off the table in a sloppy way (Like he didnt want to be working there). Finally a server came by and got our drinks. My wife ordered a sweet tea and I ordered a Miller Lite. Her sweet tea came right away, but my beer seemed like it never was going to come. After asking the server 3 times for my beer she finally brought it. Me and my wife both ordered a burger cooked medium, I went for the Zesty Jim and she got the Redneck burger. About 10 minutes later our food arrived. Both burgers were way overcooked and seemed like they might have been sitting out for a little while to be delivered. How I describe the meat is tough, but its really not. Its just wasnt tender or mouthwatering. Our bill was $28 and some lady with Black hair collected it to help out the server. I paid with cash using a $50 bill. She brought me back $12 and I asked "Where is my other $10", and she replied "You paid with $40". After proceeding to talk for a couple minutes on what the customer gave her she had an attitude and finally brought back my $10. I will not be coming back here, and would recommend that no one else supports such a eatery.

First off, the staff here is excellent. Hands down, they are exceptionally good at service. I waited tables for 5 years so I know what it takes, and the waiters I have had have all been exceptional - very friendly, very attentive, and GENUINE. I hate fake waiters. I would give the food an 8/10. Its way better than your traditional bar food type joint, but there are some areas where it could still be improved. Atmosphere is a 10/10. They have the best outside dining area within a 10 mile radius by far. I love eating outside, and this place has a great outside dining area. The inside is nice - accessible bar area and a side room for pool, air hockey, videogames, etc. My only real issue with this place is the price of food. They charge more than they should. Ive only ate here a handful of times and its rare that we walk out spending less than $30-$40 and I have a family of 3. Granted I tip well but thats not the point. I usually order a couple of beers and an appetizer, and we eat normal meals (not ribs, steaks, etc.) Just as an example, they charge $7.50 for their cheese dip. I expected to get a dip that was 3 times the size of what I received for $7.50. Also their wings are very small. They are exceptionally good, but they are way too small. $7.99 for 10 wings. The first time I went there, I ate 10 wings myself and my entire meal. When I go to Zaxbys - 10 wings is more than enough food. If I was eating just wings, I would have to order 20 here. BUT, they are extremely good. Overall, I would give this place an 8/10. Their service really is exceptional and the atmosphere is perfect - they just want a little too much for the food which is good, but not priced accordingly.

This review is directed to the Dawsonville store. Very rarely do I have to give a company a bad review but what happened today at Friends Sports Grill just chaps my hide. If your menu says your Wednesday special is All You Can Eat Wings then you should honor that. When we went to order the Wednesday Special we were told it isnt available until after 5 PM. I mentioned that the menu didnt reflect that and leads people to believe that the special is available all day. Totally illegal in my opinion to offer a product at a specific price and then not provide that product at that price without it being a certain time of day when their menu doesnt state only after 5PM. Simple fix - write on the menus not till after 5. I brought that up to the Manager on duty and he said no one else complains. Their menu states that if things arent right they will make them right. Ha! I dont think so. We brought a mistake to their attention and they just ignored us. Well they lost not only my entire offices business but also the business of everyone I know. The appropriate answer from management should have been: "We apologize for the misprint in our menu and will be happy to honor that offer for you today. We will update our menus accordingly so there is no more confusion on what time the specials are available." I would not recommend eating at Friends Sports Grill (at least not until after 5PM when their menu will be correct).

False advertising. I feel as if Friends Dacula Grill is trying to bring people in with great deals but not deliver on the promise. After looking at a few other reviews i can see that Im not the only one who has had this type of experience. My wife had been saying just the day prior that she was getting a craving for a burger. I stopped on the way home from work because i saw they were advertising a $5 Cheese burger basket on their sign outside. I thought this was a great deal and a good time to try the local place just down the road from us. I walk in and sat down to place two to go orders for the special of the day. I was told that the special is only for the dinning room and that it wasnt for to go orders. No place that they showed the advertisement did it say "for dine in only." Due to their deceitful nature they have lost any and all business they would have gotten from me.

My 1st experience at Friends was awesome, a year ago I had the Hoosier chilli. The food didnt make me give them another chance it was the service. I went today because I purchased a boy scout card that gave me 10% off my entire order. Me and family ordered it was 445 my husband wanted the wings but the manager vetoed him getting them early so my husband had to wait 15 mins before eating. That was okay but at the end off the day when the waitress Victoria couldnt figure out how to come up with 10 percent to deduct the bill I as done. We did the math with her and after tipping her she still did not fix the bill she messed up. On top of that, she told me not to order the dads fish n chips because everyone send it back. Wow. I will not return. Friends has really went down
