Went last night as part of a group...my chair facing the cook and prep area. Nice looking place, attentive seating hostess, nice waiter. Apps were great, Truffle Fries addictive. Good dirty martini too. Issue was with my pork chop; one of their "best" items. Horrible. Tough, chewy, obviously preheated and dumped on top of a mound of grits covered in sause. Dont know what I was tasting since it was just one big mess after sawing through the meat. (WTH do they stack food? Its stupid.) Worst was watching the chief and prep staff grazing off of the prep line all night. Everyone was stuffing their faces on food being passed; hand to hand, by this "chief". No gloves on, hands on his face and through hair when momentarily bored and then back to eating. Looked like when we got our filets, he was cooking extra because everyone ran up to nibble on some. (I wonder if the owners audit their supplies for food cost?) Disgusted at the free show, Wont be going back or ever recommending. Keep my mouth shut because I was part of a group and not paying and everyone else didnt get to see the show I was blessed with. Even locked eyes with the chief...whatever look back. If Id seen hands handling my food, that would have been it. Fire the cook...hes not doing you any good. Fab deserts.

Ive been to Haven about 4 times for food (vs. just stopping for wine) now over the last few years, so I think Im ready to give it a review. Of the 4 experiences I would say that two were top notch, and two were so-so on the food. The service and space has been peasant on every visit. I love the patio here. I think its a great space though I wish it was farther away from the street noise. One thing I think they good benefit from would be adding a bit more bench seating for waiting guests. I didnt notice it until recently, but on a busy night when the bar is full, youll be standing if you are waiting. As far as food, as with any restaurant with a season menu, the experience has varied. However, on my most recent return... everything ordered across the table was great. Upon arrival we were craving a butchers block. A bit disappointed to see only cheese without meat, the server mentioned that its completely possible to one order from their sister italian restaurant next door. Not only was the meat and cheese plate delicious, but that was a wonderful expansion of the menu we werent expecting. The whole table had seafood -fish and scallops. Loved across the board. Ill be coming back more frequently now. Thanks for the great visit!

Great service and beautiful decor (look for the crazy dripping pipe lights just pay the bar) but the food was really a knock out here. The table had two of the smoked pork croquettes as appetizers - served with a spicy pepper relish that really made the BBQ pork flavor sing. My dinner was the bacon wrapped trout, which was flat out amazing. The addition of the bacon fat really changed the flavor of the trout and is something Im definitely going to have to come back for again. The other dish at the table that I personally really liked was the Scottish salmon - grilled to a crisp exterior with a sweet glaze. I did not taste the steak or pasta entrees at the table. Dessert was an event - I had the banana cream pie and it sso good that I would have stabbed my wife with my fork if she hadnt asked for permission to taste. The praline creme brule and fried blueberry pie were both good as well but I know in my heart that I chose the best entree and dessert at the table! Happy birthday to me!

I have been to Haven twice. I live in the neighborhood. The owner is super friendly. Place is nice looking. Unfortunately my food has been sub par both times, especially for the price. If it were half the price, it would have still been sub par. Last night I ordered a ribeye steak (on special) with fries (that they have a fancy name for which I cant remember). Food came out and the fries were very cold. The steak was cooked OK, but it was cut into 6 pieces and had a thick layer of butter sauce on it. I was starving and still couldnt eat it. It was a crappy piece of steak. The waitress acted annoyed that I sent it back and when the chef came out to deliver the substitute fish dish, he also seemed annoyed. With the cost of this Haven, my experiences should have been much better. I will not return, nor will I recommend my friends to go there.

this food is pedestrian and mediocre. the brown haired girl behind the bar is racicist, rude, and the owners support this mess. she is also incompetent and not long for this business. point is i have spent $3000 in those rests but the spiggott is off. the owners have no idea how to conduct business or how to handle conflict. they dont need your business. unless you do it as the server .lots of other fish in the sea of ATL as a diner

Haven is great, the food is amazing, and the hookahs are smooth and strong. Only thing I dont like are the restrooms. Not sure about the male restroom, but the female restroom always smells like straight sewage. I think its a plumbing issue that I really wish the owner would look into fixing and possibly updating the restrooms. Other than that, its legit.

- Excellent Food - Slow service - Some orders were lost or took 20 minutes - Very loud - Lights flickered brightly multiple times - Took 3 tries for the bartender to still get a Tom Collins wrong, stopped bothering (Review based off one specific experience, maybe just unlucky although multiple other reviews also mention slow service)

Best restaurant in Atlanta!!! Ask for Gordon to be your server...not a better server in this town!! Enjoy burger night on the awesome patio!! Great wines and the freshest food!! Go..Enjoy...!! Gordon will treat you as if hes known you forever!!! Im going to make it a weekly stop!!! :-) :-)

Incredible food! Fresh, seasonal produce prepared well and paired to make flavors sing! Ive never enjoyed a meal like this before. From the first bite of salad to dessert, everything was 5 star quality. No one else can even compete with Haven! Thank you for a great evening.

Haven is a great neighborhood gem! I have had brunch here a couple times, and both times were amazing. They have seating inside and on the patio. Order the beignets for sure! If you are interested in going for dinner, they have live music on the patio a couple nights a week.

Awesome, a bit expensive, but I am willing to pay that for the brilliance of someone inventing a squash blossom loaded with goat cheese then deep fried. But dont let that fool you because the best thing on the menu was the pea salad that came with the fresh beef tartar.

Had a wonderful experience today at brunch. My wife and I sat out on the patio and enjoyed outstanding food and mimosas. Hannah and Gordon made us feel welcome and gave top notch service. We will definitely be back and will tell our friends.
