I have lived in Decatur for over 30 years and have really enjoyed our downtown restaurants - except my recent and last visit to Victory. The menu is confusing and a mess. There is not even one item for the non urban nouveau riche palate. I ordered a "club sandwich" which could not possibly be identified as any club I have ever seen or tasted. I was served something that looked like an egg mcmuffin - without the egg - after being run over by a garbage truck with some very hot sauce poured in it. Disgusting. The 5 dollar grocery store variety beer in a bottle added insult to injury. It looks inviting from the outside - but save yourself from a very bad case of indigestion - and seek another of our outstanding restaurants. My sympathies to any and all investors in this really bad idea.

We came here on a Thursday night and loved it! Once you find it (only real sign is on the south side of the building, and we came from the north side), it is a fun, trendy little place. It also helps that the prices are fair for the portions. We enjoyed the Jack and Coke slushies immensely! We also ordered three of the sandwiches, which are small pressed squares of tasty flavor combinations. We were there around 9pm, so it was pretty empty and relaxed, but its easy to imagine how Victory can become a bar hangout later at night, since it has more space in the back and on the patio.

This place seems like its geared toward struggling hipsters and college students, which is fine, but it shows in the quality of their sandwiches. The only one I actually enjoyed was the "Porkemon" BBQ sandwich. All the others arent particularly good (but I guess thats indicative of the $4 price per sandwich). I would go back for the BBQ sandwich, but Id have to go by myself since my coworkers have refused to ever go back again. Victory isnt necessarily bad, just very, very mediocre and underwhelming. You can make better sandwiches in your own kitchen.

Victory Sandwich Bar is nice. They have sandwiches and tacos served with potato chips. The sandwiches are small and if you want to substitute something on it, you cant. You can take it off, but no substitutions. They have a slushy jack and coke that is good. However, if youre looking to "get there" then get one for the experience and go back to your usual. There is a parking lot next to it thats $6 for three hours ALL NIGHT. Bar careful. The Mile High Club is great (i got it without avocado) and the Tea Bird sandwich is SPICY!

Great mini sandwiches and cocktails. Victory is known for two things: Jack and Coke slushies (perfect way to end the summer) and delicious mini sandwiches with house made chips. I am biased towards ordering the Beast on Yeast which is a pot roast sandwich with horseradish creme on a yeast roll. I also really enjoy the Korean BBQ one with slaw, I believe its called Porkemon. Honestly you cant go wrong with any of the sandwich options and I often will have some of their hummus that changes frequently but doesnt disappoint.

Victorys selections are always delectable. I have tried to go wrong here but it is tough. Their drinks and sandwiches may be small and seemingly priced high....but dont let that fool you. Each bite and sip will be met with an mmmm and an ahhh. If you are looking to gorge, I recommend going elsewhere as you will run a bill trying to shovel here. Instead, enjoy Victory when you are looking for a well portioned meal to not feel heavy and/or looking to try their signature whiskey-coke slushies.

You dont have to convince me ANYTIME to get a sandwich. However... mention the fact that they have a ping-pong table, local craft beer, and gourmet sandwiches, and Im there in a jiffy. Very cool concept and really good sandwiches. Theyre not huge, but very tasty and original. You wont find a "club" sandwich here. Theyre off the map with ideas and the location is right in downtown Decatur. Very cool place and I would go more often if I lived in Decatur.

Ive been going to the other location for about a year and was excited to see this new location closer to home. Sandwiches were excellent as always and so were the cocktails. Victory makes hands down one of the best Dark and Stormys Ive ever had. Only issue was speed of service, it took nearly 45 minutes to get our food on what appeared to be a slow night. We werent in a rush but I did note that it felt slower than the other location.

In case you havent gone in a while (a few years), the quality has significantly fallen off. Sandwiches are understuffed and the bread seems spongier (less crusty/crunchy) than it used to be. Rough vegetarian options. These days its really more of a bar with food than an creative sandwich spot. Still reasonably priced and pretty fast for a Downtown Decatur lunch hour. Oh, the chocolate chip cookies are spot on--you want one of those.

Probably the best sandwiches Ive ever had. And theyre open late (2am I think) so even better. Theyre a bit small so you may have to order a few. That said, their pricing is extremely fair. Ive seen the amazing reviews over the past few years and had been meaning to go but couldnt justify driving down to Decatur for a sandwich shop. All it took was one visit and I now have no problem justifying the drive.

Hipster eatery featuring crafty little sandwiches with cutesy names along with inventive libations also with interesting titles. However, the most popular concoction is the Jack and Coke slushie, a cool refreshing treat! The decor is ubiquitous industrial blah, but its just right for the cool crowd that love this place. The plates are small and food tiny so dull your appetite but bring a full wallet.

One of my favorite places to come to in Decatur! Frozen jack and coke slushies, the sandwich menu, and appetizers are amazing. I highly recommend the Hambo sandwich and the pimento cheese jar with bacon jam. In the back, there is a ping pong table and a really nice outdoor patio area for when the weather is warm. I come here at least once a month to enjoy the delicious food!

Great place to grab lunch or dinner. Quick service and good sandwiches along with a great selections of drinks. I personally love the Mile High Club, VLT, Castro and the Hambo. The Ramen is also very good (served cold). I normally pick two items (either two sandwiches or sandwich and a side) for a average sized meal. Both inside and outside seating and plenty of it!

Delicious and creative sandwiches. Been my goto quick lunch spot for a long while. Service is excellent and is as expected from the atmosphere presented as you walk in (full service is a bar only thing). Sandwiches are priced and portioned appropriately. If youre honestly expecting a lot of food at $5, get off your high horse and go to McD down the road.

I like this place! The sandwiches are cheap but delicious. The chips are great too... theyre peppercorn with sea salt. You can find those chips in Publix too. I always get the Mile High sandwich. They have jack daniels and coke slushies. Those are great too. Ping pong tables in the back. Nice little spot to go either on a relaxed date or with friends.
