Just when you think you have seen it all and have experienced everything a business or entertainment venue has to offer, you find yourself pleasantly surprised when your second experience as a customer is even better than your first. I had a wonderful experience the first time I attended Sunday Gospel Brunch but that visit was a "get to know you better and see if you can be taken out in public" date experience. My second experience was a social outing and I chose to take a very dear friend and her mother, both of whom I had not seen in years to the show. I wanted to take them somewhere where I knew the food would be excellent; the service would be excellent; the atmosphere enchanting; with entertainment thats unique and memorable. That is what you will find at Lips Atlanta. I recommend it to anyone who wants to outsource the cooking and entertaining for an evening to professionals who know how to put you at ease and put on a show. The venue is clean, well laid out, and all seating is close enough to the stage so that you can enjoy and engage with the entertainers. The food was excellent with just the right variety to satisfy any pallate. The Chicken Caesar Salad and Chicken Penne A La Vodka were very delicious. The staff exhibit a unique blend of expertise in both customer service as well as possessing skills in entertaining at all levels. This helps to make the overall experience unique and memorable. The management staff were visible and thorough when making their rounds to ensure that the customers were completely satisfied. So I give it 5 Stars and I am a fan for life.

I would give this place no stars if I could. I have been twice and both times it was not worth the money. The first time it was a fun experience because I have never been around drag queens before but the food and service were HORRIBLE. I went a 2nd time because my friend really wanted to go for her birthday. Our server "Aria" came to the table ONCE the entire time. We ordered drinks and didnt get them for an hour. Our food was horrible. The chicken was frozen and the mashed potatos were hard. When the bill came it was over $400. My friend went on stage for her birthday and they charged $10 for that. Some of us ordered water and sprite and got charged $5 for the cup. We also got charged for more meals than we ordered and drinks that we ordered and they never came. We were so pissed about the bill and terrible service that we only left a 5% tip. The server we had came up to us as we were leaving and demanded a better tip. She told us we could not leave and called the manager over and other drag queens came over to gang up on us and demand we tip them more. When we expressed how unhappy we were with everything we were told "oh well, you should still tip us more. we deserve it." I am a server and I have been stiffed more times than i can count but it is NEVER okay to demand a tip especially when the service is shitty. I understand that they also perform but even that wasnt worth the money. The lip syncing was off and all they do is walk up and down the aisles with their hands out asking for money. I will never set foot in Lips again. It was a terrible experience.

i went here for my birthday in Feb and this place is a blast. I had such a great time with my friends here, that several of my friends have had their own bday party here too. Ok so this is a drag place, so if you are into flamboyant entertainment this is the place for you! This place when you walk in is literally Barbies dream house (no seriously this was created by a head design of Mattle who created Barbie dreamhouse). The decor will blow you away immediately. Now lets talk about the girls...so I went on a Sunday for their Gospel Brunch so all if the hostess and waitresses wore church ropes thats morning. I must say this place is very affordable so its $5 for entrance and $15 for food...and anything extra to add to your tab is on you. I will say if you have a huge party like I did, make everyone bring CASH because they cannot split many credits (4 atthe most)...plus you need cash to tip the ladies!! Trust you are gonna want to trip these entertainers! Its amazing and the show was great, engaging and hilarious! Oh and when its your birthday they treat you extra special...definitely a great bday place for the girls (dont bring your bf here unless he likes stuff like this ok). If you need some fun interesting and out of the ordinary entertainment...please come here. So much fun!!

So I was prepared not to be wowed by the food. And I was not. But I did expect a really great show. And maybe I am hard to please but......I just felt like the show was the performers walking around for tips. And really, thats not impressive. We went for Sunday brunch and I chickend out of the chicken and waffle and got the Eggs Benedict. I ate it because I was starving but please believe it was just okay. Folks in my group ordered the steak which I think fared much better and the chicken and waffle was okay too. The place was packed, mainly with women of course. But large parties are not a problem because they set up the tables to accommodate the large groups with no problem. They spend a portion of the evening acknowledging birthdays and brides to be or whatever else you may be celebrating. There were so many on that Sunday that it took a long time and jest became boring. The show consisted of the queens lip synching to gospel songs. Now dont get me wrong, some of the entertainers were really good and put their back into it. Others just walked around with a mic and a hand out. The MC was very funny and kept the show going. I say try it out, maybe on a Friday or Saturday night, maybe its a lot more exciting. But definitely go to be entertained and not hungry.

If its your first time ever going to a drag show, it doesnt seem so bad. Only one queen really told raunchy funny jokes, the other queens mostly lip synced to songs, which is to be expected, but a lot of them didnt even perform really just walked around smiling and mouthing the words while taking tips, no real performing the song. The other thing that bothered me was when I put down my deposit over the phone (which was expensive but I was prepared for that) they informed me you had to spend a minimum of $15 on food at the table. When we got to the show they informed us it was $15 per person, at which point I asked for a refund since we werent planning on spending $15 a person, at which they said they would just wave the $15 per person fee. They were also late opening the doors with no real seating outside other than one bench. Since it was my birthday, each person celebrating gets a crown and we all go up to the stage to get a brownie and the queens read you before your picture gets taken which was pretty great, I did enjoy that. The brownie was really stale and not really edible however unfortunately. I suppose it was a relatively fun experience at the time but I dont see myself ever going back even with a larger group.
