Sunday evening about 545, I was craving my usual beef chimi and a cold beer after kayaking on the water. I came in alone and the place was really empty just a couple people having supper. I didnt catch the young waitresses name sorry to say, she came and took my order a ground beef chimichanga and I added 1 chicken soft taco, also a tall dos equis with a mr.pibb. As I told her what I wanted she wrote nothing down and walked off to send my order to the kitchen. (By the way I have worked in the restaurant business for 20 yrs + so I am always thoro with my food orders). Now the food came out quick, it was hot and looked great. Hats off to the kitchen very presentable A+.!!! I ate the taco first as always, then started on the chimi. While enjoying my perfectly poured adult beverage. After my second bite I realized it was not beef but chicken in the chimichanga. So when she came back out I let her know it was the wrong protein. She did say she was sorry and that she would look to see what she wrote on the ticket. As if trying to blame her mistake on the kitchen. Well since she never wrote down my order she knew she screwed up in my opinion. So she comes back promptly with the bill, mind you I still had only taken 2 bites of the chimichanga. She placed the bill on the table and started to walk off. So I asked for a to go box and a to go mr. Pibb. I really just didnt want to deal with her and the chicken was still good its just not what I wanted. She brings back the box and an empty to go cup. As if the2 sips of Mr pibb was all I was allowed to take home. So the total was 16.59 approximately. I was upset and didnt feel she earned any kind of tip, which is unusual for me cause I always tip good if the service is deserving of it. I put 17.00 on the the receipt and waited for her to bring my little bit of change. Nope she decided that she should steal it from me and keep it for herself. Never asked to fill my to go cup up and walked off. So I just went to the bartender and asked her to fill it up for me. No questions asked she filled up my Pibb. So I then proceeded and gave the bartender the tip instead of the server. Told her what happened and thanked her verbally and monatarally. Then walked out as fast as I could. I never complain I understand everybody makes mistakes especially me, but it was the fact she made no effort to take responsibility for or even try to fix my order. I eat here couple times a month and have always had perfect service and great food. I will come back again but if i see here coming to serve me, I will ask for someone else or leave.!!!!!!

Well I will start with the fact that if you had something to say to my husband did you dont have your big pants on to tell it to his face verses hiding behind the screen here to his wife?? He Did handle it professionally to start with. I will back up even further and tell you even my food was dry. I order the chimichanga. Take note on your menu it shows cheese sauce on top. But when I got the food and there was no cheese sauce and when I mentioned it to my waitress AND the guy who brought our food out I was told it would be $1.00 more even though it showed it in the menu. Where the hell was the proper professional customer service that you are asking for. After they both looked at us and walked off my husband basically demanded they make it right that when they brought a teaspoon of cheese sauce to our table. What good did that do other than kept your profit on the cheese. His food came out cold. Even the waitress felt it and said it was. After sending it back the so called real Mexicans who know better put it all in the damn microwave. We were on a time crunch at that point and decided to eat it anyway. You and your staff should have appreciated the fact we ate it verses you throwing it away and making a whole new dish. Again where was YOUR professional approach on this? As far as you calling the sherif, ha all I can do is laugh that you took the time away from teaching your staff how to cook or properly handle a situation all over a customer saying one cuss word. So you can take that and shove it straight up your ass. Our negative reviews that we will post anywhere and everywhere I can will far exceed that discount that you as the owner should have given him for your staff and yourself for being such sorry cooks that day. So you my dear have a lovely day!!

My husband and I have dined here a few times, but after our most recent visit, we will not be returning. A roach crawled across our table mid-meal. My husband trapped it under a jar of Tabasco, but it escaped and came at me. I shrieked and jumped from the table and got my waitress. It reappeared soon after she left and my husband slayed it. Still, for every one roach you see, there are hundreds that you dont. The nonchalance by the staff is even more off putting. The thought of eating there again sends shivers up my spine. I called the manager to let him know. There was no apology, no thanks for letting him know. I suggested he get an exterminator and he said he just had one visit a few weeks ago. When I pointed out that clearly, the treatment didnt take, he said, "Okay, I guess Ill call him again." Why should I have to convince a manager to address his roach problem? The whole place is a flop.

We celebrated a birthday at Dos Palmas this week. What fun! Our waiter was very helpful with suggestions and explanations after finding out a little about our individual preferences for heat intensity. He also guided us through the drink menu -- all those margaritas with so many variations, plus it was Mondays half-price "street" margarita night! I ordered the steak fajitas but substituted shrimp and omitted the tortillas. Delicious! My husband tried something completely different and ate every bite, surprising everyone who knows how picky he is. ;-) No one needed a "to go" box. The waiter kindly asked the birthday honoree if she would like the wait staff to sing their version of the birthday song. The margarita had relaxed her enough to say yes. A large plate of sopapillas and ice cream was delivered to the table so everyone could enjoy a little dessert. We left happy and well fed.

This restaurant is complicit in FALSE ADVERTISING. Horrible service, hair in food, DO NOT GO HERE. Management is the absolute worst. Manager (Martin) did not honor $1.50 Miller Lite, despite a sign advertising on the wall next to booth. Instead of honoring it, he claimed it was a new sign that was misprinted. When I told him that Ive seen that sign and received the promotion countless times before, he told me that wasnt true because it was a new sign. So he rudely reached over my table to grab the sign and rip it off the wall. When he did so, he hit the back of my head and the person sitting behind me. He hardly gave an apology. Anyway, under the sign was MILDEW and a DEAD MOTH so, clearly, it is not a new sign! So, if you want hairless food and a manager that treats you like a human being (the bare minimum food service experience) DO NOT COME HERE!!!
