Wanted to try a new place with the wife - so hopped on Google Maps and scouted this place. 4.4 stars and fairly high reviews, why not? Ambiance: When we arrived, not too many cars in the parking lot nor many folks in the main dining area. We were seated in the corner, away from the only other table of 6 (there was a large group of 20+ in the event space in the adjacent room). The decor was interesting - faux whitewashed wood, red light fixtures, faux leather on the booths. Dim lighting. Felt like an outdated Brooklyn or Manhattan lounge. The area near the bathrooms was dirty and cluttered. In the host area, you can visibly see the wash buckets for tables. After looking over the menu, we decided to try the Hog Toes, Smoked Chicken Flatbread, and the Double Burger. We had to flag down the waitress to place our order. Hog Toes = not that impressive, glorified jalapeno popper, slightly over fried. Smoked Chicken Flatbread = tasty. Probably the only thing that was good. Double Burger = lame. Looked like they used Kraft American cheese singles. The Krussian sauce, watered down ketchup? You can get a tastier burger at BurgerFi. The truffle fries seemed like the last ones to come out of the fryer basket. Short, overcooked, hardly any truffle flavor, if any. Service: Took about 5 minutes for the waitress to come see us. She was being followed by someone (either a waiter in training, or her trainer). She brought us waters, answered a few questions about the menu - made a point to towt about the popular lobster roll, shrimp and grits and another menu item and the awards / critical acclaim received. She seemed polite, however my wife noted that she rolled her eyes and scoffed when we declined cocktails. Throughout the dinner experience she seemed to have a fake cordiality about her in general. It took 15+ minutes to get the appetizer, served to us by the manager who apologized for the wait due to the larger party. When we got the flatbread - I asked the waitress for the burger to be cut in half before it was served. She told me "Oh, no we cant do that Im sorry" I asked why. Her response "Ill tell you later, the chefs just wont do that. They are very strict. I can bring you a knife." I said that was fine, Ill cut it myself. I was taken aback by how adamant and forcefully she insisted that it couldnt be done. A moment later, she returned with the burger, cut in half. She said "I had to sweet-talk them to cut it." All in all our experience wasnt on par with what others have reviewed - perhaps we came at the wrong time and had the wrong server? Or just ordered food that the kitchen doesnt take pride in cooking? With all the critical acclaim and accolades, I am surprised to leave a harsh review. However, guests should be aware that positive Google Reviews will not mean a positive experience when they dine at any given place - be open to the idea you may be disappointed.

Racist. I say anal.hair and call random bald guy yoda. Bald dude says i am a terrorist. Manager sides with bald racist person. Thteatens to call cops. I get asked to leave because...you know....some guy who fancies BMWs (and cant stand me making fun of them along with his hair) couldnt handle being called yoda. Called the manager Sam after getting back home to tell him how much of a racist prick he was. Told me he would call cops and he knows my last name. Yeah moron Sam! I know that you know my last name because I just paid 60 bucks for some cheap scotch using my credit card. Also, cops have nothing better to do than to follow up on some guy that called you out for the idiot you are. Manager Sam is Racist! If the owner is reading this review, take note. I am not stepping into this place again.

Chef Leif has put a lot of thought into the food and atmosphere of this restaurant. The design is very eclectic & provides a lot of conversation. It is a great place for a quick bite or full meal. I loved the prosciutto Flatbread, the Tuna tartare on homemade potato chips, pork belly and the short ribs. The diver scallop was the best I had ever eaten! Dessert was light h a perfect finish to our meal. *We did a promotional meal, so our portion sizes were smaller than some pictured (3 short ribs instead of one). So the normal serving sizes are enough to satisfy the hungry.

Im neutral about this place. Nothing special yet no complaints. Pros: Nice decor, clean, still, full bar Cons: Limited menu, tight dining, semi-expensive tapas Service: The waitress wasnt unhelpful nor helpful. She did move slow. Taste: I had soup as a starter, it was OK & Turkey sandwich, it wasnt my style Timing? In & out under one hour during lunchtime. Second visit? Yes, but merely for Happy Hour. Not worth the drive & sort of secluded for dates or GNO.

Expensive for lunch ($15 salads) and very tacky decor. But the biggest issue is that there are no vegan options and maybe 1 vegetarian option! Thats just unacceptable but I guess its Alpharetta so what can you expect, really? Food was mediocre. Maybe in this part of town you could consider the menu to be creative but I thought it was rather uneventful, standard stuff that you might find similar versions of on a Chilis menu.

My wife and I love the Dinner ambience. Food is an experience to be had not just eaten. Costs are half as much as comparable restuarants in buckhead/ midtown. Beer and wine knowledge of service staff is very high. They have a large communty/dining table. Would feel very confident to bring business partners here, sadly I work far from where I live. We love it.

I have had the pleasure of having lunch and dinner here a number of times. The food has been first rate every time. The décor adds to the experience. The servers have gone out of their way to make my visits enjoyable. I will keep coming back and referring others. It is great to have a restaurant of this caliber right in the neighborhood.

I love this place! I have been there regularly since they opened and have to say it is my favorite restaurant. The decor now matches the food; its very fresh and unique. I will be back again soon. My favorites are the steak salad and the fig & prosciutto flat bread. My goal is to try everything!

its one of my favorite places to eat at lunch. Sandwiches are constantly good, soups are really good ( they usually have only one soup of the day) which is always a good sign as the soup was cooked today and was no frozen. My picky kids love hamburgers and cheeseburgers.

Outstanding! Service was great. Food was outrageous. Environment was kitschy. Little surprises everywhere. Burger is the best in town. Cucumber lemonade surprising and good on the palate. Cant wait to come back. Chili pork tacos and street corn a solid choice.

Was in the area looking for something new, and found it. Grabbed a seat at the bar and tried a few excellent Martinis ($6 on Thur) and a quick appetizer. Very friendly, edgy selections, and John the bartender was great to converse with on rare Gins.
