I like Es Tas, mostly because their food specials are good. Its a fairly standard bar, maybe a bit more relaxed than average and catering to a slightly older crowd. I mostly go for dinner though. People constantly talk up taco Tuesday, but honestly I like burger Wednesday more. Also, I like the wings and cheese balls here.

Excellent tacos, especially when on a deal on Tuesdays. However, with the place dead empty, the music was overwhelmingly loud. Although they have great craft beers, they appear to struggle to sell through them, leaving beers to age. Come for the tacos, leave before the college kids get there.

Do not go here! Got denied to enter the bar because the bouncer said my ID was fake but it is not! The bouncer was really arrogant and ruined the rest of my night. There are better bars to go to in Ames (ex: Welch Ev Station, District, AJs)

This place is usually busy on tuesdays but if you get there around 5 or before you can easily get a table. The tacos are cheap and they also have various deals throughout the week. The bartenders are very courteous and always helpful.

Delicious tacos, cheap food and drink, and they have special priced nights as well, from shots to beer to the food again. I have enjoyed eating and drinking here with friends throughout college years and afterwards now.

Tacos were amazing, but the bouncer kicked us out for a beer can he found on our table that was left by a group before us. He was a complete joke and ruined the whole night for us. Never going back there again

Taco Tuesday is good but the tacos are often cold. This can get packed very randomly early in the evening. They have OK deals on drinks. Better than the average bar around Welch.
