This review is for the chicken shawarma I got from their food truck. Thumbs up: - Neatly-prepared and well-wrapped; didnt leak - Didnt feel too greasy - Nice ratio of meat and veggies - Decent tasting Thumbs down: - Chicken meat was a bit odd, sort of in between shredded and ground? - Flavor wasnt "wow", just... pleasant - Came with a small side salad that was somehow completely dry AND ridiculously spicy :. Just didnt seem to go with the shawarma at all - Tip jar prominently in-your-face when ordering. No, just no. (for starters, these folks arent paid less than minimum wage, theyre not waiting on anyone... theres basically, well, no service to tip)
My prior experience with Sajj was their food trucks which offer great food but horrendously long lines. So when I came to know that they had a physical store on El Camino, I hopped on over. This location is nice, clean and much more comfortable. Ordering was quick and smooth and I had a falafel bowl with all the veggies and made spicy to order. I had it alongside a lentil soup. Both items were fantastic. I would have preferred the soup to be warmer but it was tasty. The falafel bowl was wonderful and on a breezy afternoon, very soul-food like. Prices are fairly reasonable, much like Chipotle and parking is ample. I highly recommend this place.
I am from the Levant and this place makes authentic Mediterranean Levant food. In my stay here in the US, trying different Mediterranean places, this place really hit home. Let alone the friendly hosts, they really make friends with everyone. Ion three consecutive days, I tried there the steak & rice bowel, falafel and hummus, as well as the chicken shawarma wrap. The authentic lentil soup was fantastic!! I went the fourth day to get the same item again, for how close they really hit home. I cant believe how cheap the prices were even though it is in Mountain View, California!! Dont forget to leave a decent tip!! They really earn it!

The staff here are some of the best i have seen in all departments...i anyways love Sajj...and the experience at the MV location made it even better....i had mistakenly ordered online for pick up at the Sunnyvale location & went to the MV location...the staff found the mistake & politely told me that they will provide me my order & took it upon them to inform the Sunnyvale location & made sure my experience there was good..i thank them & wish them gud luck!

Mediterranean fast food - tasty ingredients, sort of a Subway/Chipotle style place. Unfortunately that means you might make yourself a shawarma that doesnt quite taste like what you were expecting ;) I prefer the less flexible variety where things taste the same time after time ("You want spicy or not spicy?!"). Way better than other fast food options, but not 5-star Mediterranean cuisine. Still, tasty meat and good sauces! Soup was... interesting.
Sajj is really great for quick and reliable food! Its cheaper than most other mediterranean restaurants in the Mountain View/Los Altos/Palo Alto area. I love their cauliflower mix. Their lentil soup is amazing, but can be lukewarm at times. Falafel is okay, definitely not as good because its not freshly cooked. For the best bowl, I recommend getting all three of the sauces (hummus, yogurt sauce, spicy sauce) that they offer.
Very good restaurant. The food is awesome and good. The method is like Chipotle style for Mediterranean food. I tried the salad bowl with falafel and it was pretty good. The owner was a very cool guy and offered us a free mint yogurt and it was very good. Excellent customer service and good experience overall. I would rate sajj is just one step below Cupertinos falafel stop and they are catching up
Amazing place! The setup is very similar to chipotle where you build your bowl except the cuisine is Mediterranean food! I really do love this place because of the speed of the service and the quality of the food I would not really recommend the falafel though. It might be a quick judgement but they werent very fresh when I got them. Other than that this was an amazing place for great food!
This is my go-to for Mediterranean food. Its like Subway or Chipotle style restaurant/food. I love their chicken shawarma rice bowl - it is consistently delish. Get their eggplant, tzaziki, garlic spread, and red cabbage for sure. All meals come with a cup of soup (its hit or miss, bit they usually put a crunchy pita chip in there thats yummy). Their falafels are tastey too- moist and crunchy.
Love the food. Dine in not too comfortable (cold temp w/ metal decor makes it not too comfortable to sit & relax) but food is super. Pomegranate chicken w/ lettuce, pickles, tahini & hummus is especially good. Tamarind tea is super. Parking can be a nightmare if closer to peak times.
Super great approach (this is Chipotle for Mediterranean food) - fresh ingredients, simple menu though very customizable. I was impressed all-around. The soup that comes with it is super yummy and you get _plenty_ to eat when you order a meal, even with the salad base.
Read all the positive reviews online and went there for dinner. Not only is the food amazing and authentic but the staff are so extremely friendly. Love the idea of a Mediterranean cuisine with the Chipotle concept. Will be back soon enough!
Tried this after watching "The Avengers". Well played Tony Starks, well played. Seriously The steak Shwarmma, with just about every veggy/ pickels/ spicy/ possibility... AWESOMSAUCE!!!! TOTALLY coming back, and finding closer ones!
Got take-out from here and was very impressed. The falafel wrap is huge once stuffed with veggies, the hummus excellent and perfect with the schwarfel bowl. Many more sauces and sides to try next time!
Sooooooooo amazing! Think Subway or Chipotle but medi. food! Terrific fresh choices! Best $10.00 bowl of food in a LONG time!!!!! Totally drive all the way back from 280 & Berryessa ANYTIME!
The way to order here is like Chipotle, just changes the food into mediterranean style. They have many vegetarian choices and the food size is large regarding its price.
Chipotle style mediterranean food bowls/wraps. Food quantity is plenty and hard to finish in one sitting. Each entree comes with a lentil soup. Inexpensive and fast.
Reliably pretty good Mediterranean style bowls. Fast counter service where you get to decide exactly what goes into it. Fresh, healthy options.
Super freundliches Personal und sehr gutes Essen. Die Pommes der Hammer und alles zu einem unschlagbaren Preis! Ich hatte vegetarisches Essen .
Definitely a good Mediterranean place. The sauce was spot on and the meat cooked to right amount. But the falafels felt a bit undercooked.
Really like Sajj! Think Chipotle Burritos bowls but Middle Eastern-ized. Not expensive and very quick! Their fries are amazing, get them!
A Mediterranean version of Chipotle. Not as good as other Mediterranean restaurants in the area, but you can get decent wraps fast.
Falafel Sajj Wrap. The diced beets are lovely. I might skip the eggplant ragout next time. Great spot: fast, courteous, tasty.
Absolutely perfect, we found the restaurant after shop at Walmart and decided to try something new and it was great.

Quick Chipotle style Mediterranean food. The cashier was uncommunicative and overcharged us. Would not return.
The variety + quality + quantity you get for a nice price is RIDICULOUS! 5 stars. Good for vegetrians , even
Great food, fresh ingredients and a variety of vegetables is what brings me here again and again!
Great place to get salad or rice bowl. With all the topping choices can really make it your own!
