6/23/2014- We were a table for four; two adults, two children. Service was o.k. (receipt says his name was Luis??, not sure). Server came to the table four times... once to greet and take drink/app and dinner order (we did this all at once), 2nd time to refill drinks while waiting for food, 3rd time to bring food, 4th time to bring check. Now, the food... about a 20-25 minute wait and it really wasnt that busy, maybe half occupancy. Conch Chowder had decent flavor, but, it wasnt piping hot and should have been. It was mostly warm, hot in some places. I ordered the Jerk Chicken pasta. It looked more like penne pasta soup with cubed chicken on top. Chick on top was cold to touch, the middle was warm. There was way too much soupy pasta sauce; it was overflowing the edges of the plate, it should have been served in a bowl. Also, pasta sauce was basically just a really thinned out bad version of an Alfredo sauce with some scallions in it. It had absolutely zero flavor. The chicken barely had "some" jerk flavor, but not much. When I order anything jerk, I can usually count on the jerk seasoning being very predominant in the dish... this was nothing of the sort. The chicken was cubed... Ive never had that before in a jerk dish. Its usually cut into longer strips, like fajita chicken. It does not suit the dish to have it cubed… its not a salad. It also came with a slice of garlic toast. This was so hard, I couldnt even bite it and I could barely break it with my hands. And, it was so dry, it was useless to soak up any of the soupy sauce. My wife had the Broiled Scallops, she says they were o.k. I ate one and it tasted just a tad overcooked, which is easy to do with scallops. One son ordered the Grilled Salmon dinner... it was very well done and mostly dry. A grilled salmon can still be cooked to where the inside is still moist and the outside has a nice, light grilled flavor, but, this was not. It tasted like it was dunked in butter just as it was plated to cover the dryness of the piece. My other son ordered off the kids menu. He got chicken Tenders and fries, kind of hard to mess that up. Strips were not too heavily breaded and were deep fried almost perfectly. It came with seasoned fries that seemed a little too soggy from the fryer... maybe taken out too soon. We spent $68 plus tip (no alcohol, but, I did see good drink prices on the bar menu). Not sure Id be willing to give this place another try after seeing similar reviews.

Was there on a Sunday night, place was pretty busy. We were a party of six, four adults and two children. As soon as we sat, one of the adult members, of thin build I should add, sat through his chair. We were all quite surprised when this happened, but not as surprised as when we notified our waitress and instead of taking it out of service, she simply switched it out with another table who wasnt using all their chairs and left the broken one for another patron to sit on, and possibly injure themselves! When we did receive our food, which wasnt too long after we ordered, it all came out together except for one adult members, so I told the food runner we were missing a entree, he said he would check on it, which, after much time went by, was obvious he didnt. So we then told our waitress, who ten minutes later arrived with the food, but it was cold. Moments after receiving it, the manager stopped by and asked how everything was, and we told her that the food for one member came out considerably late and was cold. She immediately rectified the problem with a new entree minutes later, which was of good temperature and, according to our guest, delicious ...then came the bill, Im not usually one to go over items, but I was curious if they had charged us for the one meal that was delayed and served cold. Not only did they charge us, but they added two extra items that we did not order! Two stars given because of atmosphere, food was good, as was the attentiveness of wait staff/manager. But there were just too many mistakes to get anything higher.

First of all, $3 margaritas were great. Server was nice but a bit slow. Hubby loved the coconut bread. I wasnt crazy about it, but thats just taste. Not fond of coconut. I was starving and inhaled a piece with regular butter, not the coconut butter. Hubby order grouper cheeks (fried grouper nuggets) that we were assured was fresh, local grouper. It was fine. Not great. Did love the dipping sauce they came with. Tropical slaw...uh...again, just not to my taste. I ordered the Mahi Oscar. The price was right, $12 early bird special. All I can say is..sigh. My fault for asking about the prep, but since the word Grill is in the restaurants name, thought it would be grilled. It was not. Piece of fish came out....(broiled, pan sauteed?) with light seasonings over it. Just not much flavor. There were nice, lovely, big chunks of crab meat, but I couldnt get any crab taste even eating it by itself. The Bearnaise sauce was horrid. It didnt taste like any bearnaise sauce Ive ever had...I scraped it off to the side. The asparagus was (sigh) canned. If management had dropped by the table and asked, I would have told them, but didnt see anyone. Think I was almost done before the server asked. Black beans and rice were the best thing on the plate. Very tasty. My fresh veggies were (really) fishy tasting. I took 3 bites and each tasted fishy. They were left uneaten, obviously. Hubby loved the cheesecake and mango sauce dessert that my meal came with. Overall, sigh.

I am redoing my review because this establishment does not deserve a bad review. My husband and I love Seabreeze, the food has always been so good and the prices are great! Fits right in our budget. The drinks are always so good and you have to stop in for their $3 margaritas, they are so good and only $3 but they also have other drink specials that are just as good! I had one bad experience with an inexperienced waitress but the owner really cares so much about customer service that they sent me a $25 gift certificate to make up for any bad service we received. This is my husband and my spot! We love it there so much its the only place we like to eat when we are at the beach. We always have the most amazing waitress, Sam O, she just treats us like family and one of the reasons we love it there so much, she is always so pleasant and knows what she is doing. All the staff is always so nice but we really love Sam. She knows us when we walk in the door and really makes our visit so enjoyable. I was so happy to have seen her this past Saturday when my husband and I stopped in to use our gift certificate that the owner kindly gave us! I love this restaurant for its food, service, drink specials and the views are so beautiful. Just a great place to relax and unwind!! You have a customer for life!! Thank you for treating us so good!
