I have been there 3 times, 1st time was when they first opened, the service, food and hospitality was very good, 2nd time we were all disappointed the portions were uneven among the table and there was no show. We felt like we were robbed of the whole hibachi experience. One more chance..There was no hospitality at all and the food was bland. It was my daughter and husbands birthday and they totally screwed up his order and when we brought it to their attention they treated us like we were trying to get something for free..he just wanted what he ordered. When they brought the checks they added a service charge of 18%. They said because it was a party of six. I argued that we had separate checks and that the baby and 1 year old didnt eat. I asked to speak with a manager about the order being wrong and charged me for the items they screwed up along with the gratuity added. The manager never came over to talk to me. NONE of us will ever go back. The service was unacceptable.

Unless you are coming for the Hibachi and show, then great place. If youre here to sit at the booth for sushi, I recommend somewhere else. Having ordered a spider roll, the tempura batter for the softshell crab tasted almost soggy. I almost cant descibe the taste/texture but it wasnt correct. I have ordered the spider roll at plenty of establishments and they all had a crispy crunch to them, along with the soft shell crab taste. I had more batter than soft shell crab. The Hokkaido roll (#H1) was pretty decent. We also ordered the Unagi Don (Eel Bowl) and well, they covered it enough in eel sauce and barely gave you any rice. For a dinner portion, it looked more like lunch. The waitress was somewhat attentive, but near the end, when the hibachi ppl left, we pretty much were forgotten about. The soda was watered down and not even offered a new one, etc. Either way, Im sure the hibachi is great but the sushi rolls were just not that exciting.

Upon arriving there to a basically empty restaurant (heavy storm ) .... There was one table paying a bill next to us. We asked if our Family of 4 could be seated together in 4 spot of table and hostess ( EXTREMELY RUDE) refused to seat us together and said she had to keep room for POSSIBLE other parties. She marched off and we asked for the manager. She returns ( barely speaking English ) and argues with us and says fine sit where you want . Just HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE for this kind of restaurant . If it wasnt for promising our Son we would have left. When paying that kind of money for a meal $$$ you would only hope for a more professional courteous service.

My wife, and I went there and the food was too sour for my wife, so we asked our server if something could be done about it, and she took the plate away. After about 30 minutes of waiting we just wanted to leave, so we asked for the check, but my wifes uneaten plate, which was taken away, was still on it, so we asked for the manager. When the manager came to our table she started yelling at my wife that she would not take the item off of the bill, and that she had seen the plate and it was almost finished, which it was not, she offered no solutions, substitutes, or alterations, simply pay and leave. She acted in an extremely hostile and disrespectful manner.

My family and I occasionally come here eat although I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. Most of the time they take correct but when it comes to platting its usually always mixed up. They left my son and husband with no fried rice and left the rice til the very end. The vegetables are usually undercooked and raw. Some of the younger waiters have some inappropriate jokes and even insulted a family next to us by saying they had accents. My husband has had verbal exchanges with the waiters because of their rude and obnoxious behavior. Overall the place is ok if you dont have high expectations.

We frequent many Japanese hibachi grills throughout the year. Often in thus area one is forced to settle for Benihana, which is locally horrendous. You either had to go south or north to Vero for a decent habachi experience. Hokkaido finally makes a local experience worthwhile. Food was fresh, sushi was excellent and surprisingly inexpensive. Service was outstanding, drinks were always refilled. The chef was sharp, witty, and professionally prepared our order efficiently, and quite tasty. Well be headed back this weekend with friends and family for my sons 17th birthday.

I visited Hokkaido last week for the first time with my wife and four children. POSITIVES: The chef was very entertaining. He had a great personality and we enjoyed his show. The portions were good. My wife had the Filet and Tail and she enjoyed it. NEGITIVES: The wait to get to the hibachi was extremely long and definitely not worth the wait. The food was very bland and my steak was very tuff. My kids did not enjoy their food either. I suggest Benihana in Stuart hands down!!

I am not the complaining type but this is our 2nd time at this place with the same experience. Sushi was warm, kitchen food was cold, food took far to long, and way over priced for what we got. I could have gotten better sushi at publix. hubby ordered chicken tempura and got shrimp tempura instead. They also forgot our second soup we order. If the staff though friendly spent less time chit chatting with friends they may get orders right and out on time.

Exterior was dirty and in need of paint-this is a new restaurant. Dust pan and brush in entry way-first thing you see. Food was average but pricey. Interior of restaurant was lovely. Went back after almost a year and wont be back again. Companions rice bowl meal consisted of rice (too much of it)packed in a bowl and upended on the plate. Accompanied chicken was inedible. Felt something should have been offered when we complained.

This place has gotten worse with time! Take some pride in your appearance! We regretfully went by today because we were craving sushi and there were no other choices locally! The outside of the building was so bad, we didnt even get out of the car! Not to mention, there were no cars in the parking lot at 1pm Sunday! Thats gotta tell you something. Locals since 2005 and will never return.

we were told they dont open til 4:30, made reservations for then but got here and had to wait and theyve been open since 1:00! poor service hostess going on anout not taking reservayions cause she "cant handle" and they wouldnt seat us because ONE person was going to be later. Then adamantly told us we would have to move us if someone else comes. NOT accomodating to their customers!

DO NOT EAT THE SEAFOOD FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I have always loved this restaurant and frequented it often. However, three out of our five last visits we were served bad seafood. My daughter was physically ill for a full 24 hours after eating spoiled shrimp during our last visit. We will not be back and hope that this review helps others avoid the same situation.

Just left there for our mothers day dinner and was very disappointed about the show. There was not one at all. We might as well sat at a regular table. This was my daughters first hibachi experience and they didnt even do the flaming volcano. The food was at best ok. And the sushi was the same. Needless to say we are hoping Kobe comes to port st. Lucie real soon.
