First and last time eating at Benihana. Our party of 6 was celebrating a birthday and 2 of us were running about 5 minutes late. Reservation was for 6PM. They would not seat the guests who arrived until the whole party was present. I thought that that was a bit off but I went along with it. After arriving literally 6 minutes after 6PM, were were seated immediately. While waiting for our waiter to greet us my partner went to get us some drinks from the bar. He comes back from the bar asking me for my ID so the bartender can dispense the drinks. My partner came back from the bar with a huge fish bowl drink, which i hadnt realized I ordered. The description lured me in. I figured we would have plenty time to finish it but unfortunately we did not. When I asked for a to go cup the waiter at first agreed and finished clearing our table. While the waiter took care of the dishes the manager comes from nowhere and requests for a second time to see both of our IDs, embarrassing us at the dinner table. The waiter comes back to take desert orders without the to go cup and when we ask about the cup the waiter just shakes his head no and says he cant, citing safety concerns(which I can understand.) We then requested a manger to request half the price of the drink be comped due to the fact we only consumed a little over a quarter of it, they would not let us take it home, and I was not going to finish it. The manager Garrett Feuss was not understanding and denied our request saying that he can only advise us to finish the drink or to pass it around to the other guests we were with. When I tried to reason with him saying that we did not want to finish the drink as it would put us over the limit and that he is ultimately putting a drunk driver on the road, he played the classic politician and began to deny the reality of the situation. I cannot speak for all locations but based on this experience I will never eat at Benihana again due to the sheer inability of a manger to make a wrong situation right.

I literally just left this restaurant. We had a party of 4 (2 adults, 1 7yr old & an 19 month old) We arrived at 5:3pm and were told the wait would be 15 minutes or less. Well needless to say we were still waiting at 6:13pm this be seated!! I watched a party of 2 with no reservations be seated. Then a few minutes before Id had enough of being told by the hostess "Youre next" a party of 3 walked in and were seated IMMEDIATELY! The hostess asked his name, how many people were in his party and if he had a reservation which he replied NO. I asked how could they be seated before us when wed been waiting long before them which is when the manager Cameron Rassavong for applied very nasty " they have a reservation" it honestly seems like her in the other manager Joey we were seating all the white people before they would even consider us which is very wrong. Once I begin to point out to her how long we had been there, we kept being told we were next and still had been waiting. Thats when she went and got the party of three to make them sit out in the lobby and wait. But if they had a reservation what was the need for that?? I hate to feel like its a color thing but this isnt the 1st time Ive encountered this but it will be the last. Will NEVER visit this location again. Will stick to our usual location off Commercial Blvd. And will also make a complaint with Corporate in the morning.

This particular Coral Springs location of Benihana is overrated. Visiting around 7 p.m. on a Thursday evening, my friend and me had an approximate 15 minute wait, without reservation. Busy place but they got us seated in decent time. Shawn was our server. Benihana Trio for me at $37.50 and Rockys Choice Steak and Chicken at $27.00 for her. Drinks included a Coconut Mojito at $9.50, a Baby Blue Ocean at $9.50 times 2, and a Benihana Mojito at $9.50 times 2. Total check was $119.10 and we had a $30 off birthday coupon. Food was lackluster and a bit overcooked. We requested the chicken rice with dinner and were tagged $3.55 each - without knowledge - until the check came. Maybe they thought it wouldnt be noticed. They were right - it wasnt noticed until we got home and I surveyed my receipt. Service was okay and the manager - I forget his name - came by the table. Two other couples were seated at the Hibatchi and a seat separated each of the couples. Restrooms were clean and plenty of parking was available. Unlike the Fort Lauderdale location, the wait without a reservation wasnt really bad. I would have given Benihana 3 stars based upon the overcooked food, but was unhappy with the $3.55 times 2 upcharge for the Hibatchi Chicken Rice that I was never told about. William E. Honestly been here a few times and Ive given it a fair chance but every time its something. This time we had 9 of 11 in our party and they still refused to seat us. Next we waited 20min just to get a drink order. Took another 15 min to get the waters on a bottle of sake. Then the long wait came over 30 min for a "chef". Next we know they dont have fried rice and it would be another 15 min for steamed rice!? So as half of our party began to eat their proteins with no rice they informed us that all of the calamari was still frozen, theres another 10 min wait. Unbelievable! We had a 6:30pm reservation, were finally seated at 7:00pm and it took two hours to prepare our meals. Did I mention we had 5 children in our party? It was awesome getting home at 9:45pm. Thats why we went on a weekday thinking it would not be busy...which it wasnt but they still didnt have their act together. I had to go get my own sake cup and a high chair for my youngest child and call the manager over who I honestly guessed since he did not have a name tag on or even stopped by to say hello as most restaurant managers do with a $400 table. When he did come over he was very polite but offered no really compensation for a louse experience except for comping the rice. We are done with this place unless they offer us a free dinner.
