Today I came to this Fujiyama, I am Japanese, I came with my wife and her American Family friend, we entered at 2:10 pm knowing that they close at 2:30 so we asked if it was ok to eat there at that time, to which they replied it was fine just the hibachi will not be available which was ok for us so they sat us anyway. However, our friend ordered chicken tempura But was served a chicken tempura roll, when we all clearly heard that she did not order a roll. When the waitress brought it we were a little surprised because it is not what she ordered. Absolutely, because she does not eat sushi rolls and cannot eat cucumber. So the waitress said rather rudely "I asked you TWO TIMES if you wanted chicken tempura ROLL" Apparently we didnt hear her say that at the time so we thought she understood us. But she gave an attitude that really ruined our mood for eating and made us feel very unwelcome. We do not recall the waitress name but she was the taller of the waitress in the store. Additionally the food was not even Japanese... The taste was ~ok~ but not anything special. The waitress really ruined our experience by being so rude to a senior citizen and making us feel as if it was our fault and she was extremely inconvenienced and annoyed by us. Over a simple miscommunication, even after another staff came to explain we will not be charged for the roll he made it seem like he was doing something extremely kind and rare When I believe it is most restaurants policy to accommodate a customer even if a mistake was made. We really regret tipping her more than 20% and tried to forget about it but later into the night we still felt upset and unhappy with the experience and decided to write this review. I hope another customer will not experience the same treatment as we did. They rushed us to order and sat near our table in order to make us feel we should leave faster. It really bothered our dining experience. If it was so much trouble they should not have agreed to seat us. I think we will never return to this restaurant and I really do not recommend this restaurant for an ENJOYABLE dining experience.

I went there Tuesday evening for a friends surprise birthday with hopes of an fun filled evening. Ive been coming to this resturant since its grand opening. I have never in my life been treated so horrible. First, the service now, sucks! I wouldnt send my dying dog there for a piece of ice. Our chef was entertaining as always, however there was this one waitress who wasnt our waitress hovering over our table. We all felt rushed to leave as she asked us more than twice did we want to go places, mind you this wasnt more than 10 mins after the chef completed cooking. Upon getting our checks, we seen they put a service fee for a party of four or more. That wasnt shown anyway and in the menu it says it optional. Long story short, the manager allowed the waitress to curse at us, which made me curse her and read her for filth. All in all, dont go to Fujiyama if your in the Vero Beach area. Try the steakhouse on US1 its better!

Most Japanese Steakhouses are about the same. You get a cute little show, a big flash of fire, some giggling, and then you eat. I have to say though, Fujiyama was better than I anticipated. For starters, the service was fast. It was a Saturday night and we were seated within 2 minutes of arrival and our drinks had been served and order taken before a total of 5 minutes. The food was very good. Lots of garlic, which is not common at these steakhouses, perfect seasoning, and everything cooked as requested. The hibachi cook was very good, and kept everyone smiling long after the meal was cooked. All in all, the best part about it was the bill. The same meal, with drinks and everything else, at Benihanas would have been close to $200. It was less than $75 with generous tip included! I was very impressed and I look forward to eating there again.

Living in Port St. Lucie for the last eight years, the only real Hibachi grill has been at Benihana in Jensen Beach. There is another in Stuart, but Benihana was pretty much the norm. I loathed the place - but once a year my son, for his birthday insists on going there. This year - different. I finally found the place to go! Fujiyama - the Hibachi is WONDERFUL - the service - SERVICE - personal. Coming from NY we have look for something equated to Ariang - Fujiyama is it! Ill be going there quite a few times this year - twenty-five minutes from Port St. Lucie!!! Mon - Wed 50% off appetizer - that was a surprise. A dinner for five on a Monday with appetizers, drinks, and desert ran $166, with tax $178 + tip was $205. I had the Emporer Deluxe which by itself was $40 - and WELL WORTH IT!

Went on a Sunday like I have many times before with my kids who they advertise eat free on Sunday and when I recieved my bill and asked why I was being charged for their meals I was told its mothers day which is a holiday so they dont eat free. No where was it posted or was I told there was a change to the special due to it being a holiday. Also the waiter never offered refills on our drinks and when the people at the other side asked for a togo box they brought them out and boxed their food but when we asked they just brought the box and left them on the counter. This is the second time I had bad customer service here out of the 3 times I have eaten here. Thought last time was just a bad day but after today I will never return again.

I have been to this restaurant 3 times now, out of the 3 times 2 of them were awful. Food not cooked correctly, food put on persons plate next to me by mistake and I was asked to scoop it off and they could not understand why I would not do so considering the person had been eating off the plate already! I went to speak to the manager and he had an attitude and said what else did I want he took a meal off the bill. I have been in customer service for over 20 years and have never treated anyone the way I was treated there. I will drive 45 minutes to go to a different restaurant from now on, lesson learned!

High price for some sub par sushi. We ordered a few rolls and sashimi with our steak and rice. The sushi was obviously frozen and then thawed before serving. The squid was especially rubbery. The hibachi portion was laughable. The quality of the steak was as good as the food court at the mall. Our server was unable to get my wife her drink until 15 minutes after the rat of the table had been given drinks. Just a bad experience all around even more so having to spend over $100 and feel unsatisfied at the end of a meal.

I have been to tons of Japanese steakhouses, and for the guests, being punctual is VERY important! I think this restaurant needs to make people who are waiting for other members of their party to arrive wait at the lobby before seating them, like Makotos of Melbourne does! Because my family was going to have to wait with growling stomachs for this other person to arrive before the "show" could begin. This was totally uncalled-for. We insisted we be seated at another table.
