Good chicken but terrible customer service!!! The employees have absolutely no customer service skills. I had to argue with the "Manager" over dinner rolls and $1.85 because their menu posted outside is completely different than the paper menu on the inside (which was not the menu used to place my order). I work in Guest Service and would be reprimanded or fired if I ever treated someone with such ignorance. She even threatened to call the Police if I did not lower my tone of voice. I will never return and will make sure to tell everyone else to avoid the establishment. So disappointed.

It was just okay.... While the chicken was moist and juicy, I found there was a great deal of flavor missing. Actually, I asked the server if the chicken and fish are fried using the same oil because something tasted a bit off. She said no it was fried in only chicken. Was certainly not THE BEST CHICKEN IN THE WORLD as some on here are over selling it to be. I will not be comming back here. It was not enjoyable to me. Maybe you will have better luck. IMO, Buddy Freddies still has the best fried chicken in this area.

Ive traveled extensively and tried fried chicken at every imaginable location. Hands down MFC is my favorite. When I get a window in my diet to splurge; Im at the Plant City MFC window placing an order. I do not care to waste my time at a fu-fu restaurant. Despite the hard working environment, the Staff have always been friendly, fast and accurate. Highly recommend anyone passing through or by this little home town favorite to stop in and give it a try.

The fried chicken is decent. Not to die for, not bad, but decent overall. What lacked were the sides. I had the baked beans and potato salad, and I felt both were lacking something. They just didnt impress. A 3 piece box with two sides and a 24oz drink cost $10. They charge for refills as well, and only accept cash. If I came back, I would only get chicken to go. However, their are cheaper options around that are just as good. Just my honest opinion.

This place is like its stuck in a time warp from the 1970s, and I mean that as a compliment, its old school fried chicken the way you remembered it from those greasy buckets your folks brought home that stunk up the Gremlin for a week. Fried perfectly, on the salty side, which I prefer, and even the white meat pieces were juicy. Please note CASH ONLY and seating is limited. Im angry it took me so long to give it a try, but glad I did.

This was our 1st visit. Weve always heard rave reviews about this place and they were dead accurate! The food is excellent and the staff if very friendly. Took about 20 minutes to get food but they were extremely busy. We also found out they do call ahead ordering which will be helpful on our next visit. My only gripe was they only accept cash. Luckily, I happened to have cash today as I never carry cash .

I love this place. I grew up eating Maryland Fried Chicken in Pompano but now in Tampa love to make the trip when I can to Plant City to get some of the best Chicken money can buy. The buns are fresh, fries are hot and chicken crisp yet moist! I love the gal that runs the place she has the definition of customer service down to a science. You cant go wrong! Love It

Horrible service! Called to say I was 15-20 minutes away asked if it was worth coming since it was closing time. Gentleman tells me new chicken will be out in 15 minutes. Traffic eases up and we arrive in 11 minutes and she tells us they are out of chicken and that we could have placed an order online. Ridiculous! Good food but horrible staff

I will never eat from Marylands Fried chicken again in my life with their low key racist ass. I woke up still mad about last night (poor customer service) they got my food wrong then tried to beat me mad tfh!! Soon as the good Lord bless me Ill build another fried chicken restaurant in plant city before I eat from there again

Best Chicken in America! I have been dining here since childhood, my family included. Recently introduced my better half and hes head over boots for Marylands fried chicken! Everything on the menu is on point. One of my favorite dishes is the potato salad. My only complaint, I wish they were open on Sundays

Never had a bad experience. They recognize me and know what I like. Staff is always friendly. Chicken is amazing, sides are amazing, Id love to swim in the gravy. Just do yourself a favor, eat here. Call ahead and theyll have it ready in 15 minutes, maybe 20 if its around the normal lunch/dinner time.

Always super yummy to eat here! Their chicken is amazing. And you get your food decently fast. But its always reallyreally packed. If I had any complaints it would be not enough parking or sitting areas for the size of crowd that comes here during the lunch rush.

This has been a mainstay restaurant in our family from the beginning. Three generations have loved this place. Awesome Chicken, gizzards & the coleslaw is 5*s itself. You cant go wrong getting the sweet tea either. Bring cash though... God bless

This is a must visit if you are in Plant City. We used to eat here often when we lived there. It is cash only so dont bring a credit card. The chicken is fried in peanut oil and is alway juicy. The coleslaw is the best I have ever had.

Amazing tasting fried chicken, you really cant go wrong with this place. Their prices are fair and its the best fried chicken Ive had in the area. If youre visiting Plant City, this is a good local spot to experience "local cooking".

Crispy, juicy, and delicious! One of the best fried chicken I had. Cooked in peanut oil which makes it different in a good way. Friendly fast service. Prepare to get your hands dirty.

This place has wonderful chicken. I live about 20 miles away but its worth the drive. Its also a pain that they dont accept credit cards (cash only) but its also worth it.

Best fried chicken gizzards on the planet! The rest of the chicken is great here too. It is a CASH ONLY establishment but they do have a privately owned ATM on site.
