Not bad for a neighborhood Japanese Restaurant, service is good and prices reasonable, menu items are good too. Not just the same pretentious sushi rolls like most other restaurants, where they serve it on a big dinner plate and drowned it with spicy mayo or cilantro mayo or some other mayo, but always mayo, give it a fancy name thats more suited as a marvel superhero, spider-dragon-captain-america roll or something. I despise those restaurants. Here I can get a good ole ika maru -grilled squid for $7 and Roasted Garlie Edamame, nothing fancy, but something de facto Japanese traditional dish. Tonight I ordered the smoked ika salad-squid salad, Beef Yukke - a beef tatare seasoned with fermented bean sauce, the Champon - mix fish cake and pork noodle soup, Tonkotsu Ramen, and the Fried Fish Bone. Ika salad has good flavor, button it feels like eating a canned spuid, I like the grill squid better, I have tried Tonkotsu here many times, not as rich as it should be but it is always satisfying. Frist time trying the Chompon, but i dont recommend it. it is just mixed ingredient, veggie with fish cake and pork, the pork meat is not tender and vegetable just didnt bring anything to the soup, what are the slice carrots doing in that soup, I have no idea. Fish bone is the best, as always, it is the BEST complement to sake, believe me. whats better than crunchy potato chips that is meaty, salty, and crackling? nothing!

Worst sushi ever. Taste fake and disgusting. I ordered the rainbow roll and it was extremely chewy I explained to the server that I did not like it but my other two rolls were fine. She argued with me and told me "I told you, you ordered a lot" I told her it has nothing to do with the amount I ordered everything else was ok but this one. She made me get up from my table to talk to the sushi chief about why u didnt like it. He said "its common sense to like this roll. Ive sold a lot of rainbow rolls today and no complaints but you" I told him everybody has different taste I do not like the roll. I had one piece and sent it back and he was making me pay for it because he had to make it even though I did not eat it. Worst service and customer service for a manager/owner Ive ever encountered in my life

I called at 3:45pm and the lady said we close the kitchen at 3pm so she took my order over the phone. When I arrived there was a sushi chef wearing a Boston cap. The service was horrible, they were more interested in closing than helping the customer. I was made to eat outside of the restaurant at a 95 degree weather. My disbelieve came when another customer walked after 3:00pm and was helped, sat down in the AC room and assisted with their lunch. I felt like I did not matter as customer and left with heat exaustion and a violent pain in my stomach. I have never in my 39 years experienced such rude services from any establishment ever. Dont go to this place, they dont deserve to serve people.

The customer service is good. However the food was "okay" I wouldnt recommend it. :/ I ordered the seaweed salad...I thought you could do no wrong with the seaweed salad but there was something about it... I think the seasoning. I couldnt finish it. I ordered the Mango Tango Roll .. The snow crab texture was extremely strange like they grated it into tiny pieces. And the mango topping. What an embarrassment. The presentation was horrible. The mango was extremely ripe so it was just mushy stringy mango. I couldnt believe they would serve that. Finally I ordered the Thai donuts. That was good. Overall, unfortunately I was not satisfied :( Im giving it a one star. Wont ever eat there again :(

Where to begin.... im going to start off with WOW! Everything about this place is amazing. Its a very mellow casual sushi diner. However, the service is amazing 5 star dining. Our server Mona is such a sweet, very helpful (especially for first timers) and pleasant. Our food was delicious - I recommend the Dragon Roll and the Spider Hand Roll. We also had desert, the Thai Donuts.. it comes with a light icing which adds a great balance. We cant wait to return. High recommend this place.

The food is good, but unfortunately they charge when you ask for spicy mayo and eel sauce when in most of Japanese restaurants food comes with it. I understand that they charge when you ask for extra sauce, but they make a big deal about it. I dont really like that. The $$ is not a big deal, but that they dont include the sauce in a pick up order when you ask for it, and you are eager to eat your food with the sauce, and it was not included. I find thi very disrespectful

This was a pretty intense dining experience, and one of our all time favorites. we reserved for a special birthday dinner, and they did not disappoint. everything was absolutely perfect. we were lucky enough to dine there before the cali ban on foie took hold. we will have to return soon to see what they have added to replace it.

Fantastic service, food, and owner. My boyfriend and I are weekly regulars. If you havent tried, go for Chirashi or their Soft Shell Crab appetizer. Dessert-wise we really like the Mochi and the Thai Donuts. If you like Japanese food, please try everything on their menu – theyve got a number of hidden gems.

1st time in this place. Looking for a Ramen and Rice Bowl spot. The place is nice and clean. No fishy smell, got met by smiling friendly faces. The place was packed for a Tuesday night. A nice crowd. Yummy Sushi, good Price. I wish the rice bowls and Ramen were more customizable.

I tried the spicey kimchi ramen. It was by far one of the best ramen I have tried. Portion size was big. Clean cozy restaurant. Service and prices were decent. Next time, I need to try the sushi bar. Would definitely go back, and suggest to anyone craving some good Japanese food.

Ill never go here again. I ordered a volcano roll and I thought I had to throw up all day, it really messed up my stomach. It was so nasty, I let my cousin try it and she agreed. I was mad I wasted my money on it. Ill go to sushi sake or RA sushi any day over this place.
