The food was awesome, but I wont be returning. I came to Miyako 2 days ago with my boyfriend and his two brothers for lunch. I ordered a crazy roll and zaru soba. When our food arrived, I was given only the crazy roll. Granted, it was bigger than I expected, so I was too full for the zaru soba. When we finished our food, the waitress came to ask how everything was. I explained that I hadnt received the zaru soba, and told her that if it hadnt been made already to not worry about it, but if it was already made, to go ahead and pack it to-go. I wasnt angry or rude about it. I understand sometimes things get forgotten. The waitress went into the back for a few minutes and returned with a to-go bag for me. I accepted it, and we all paid and left. Later, at dinner time, I decided to have the zaru soba, but when I opened the bag, I realized the dipping broth wasnt included. Inside the bag was only plain buckwheat noodles in a syrofoam container. I even moved the noodles to make sure the dipping broth wasnt buried underneath. At that point, it was already pretty late, so I decided to call the next day. I spoke to a young lady and explained the situation. I was very polite. I asked it maybe I could drop by and pick up the dipping broth for my noodles. At this, the employee told me I would need to speak to a manager. This is when I finally started to get honestly annoyed. How is this something that requires an executive decision? Even so, I remained polite and thanked the employee as she took down my name, promising Id receive a call later. Over two hours later, I still hadnt received a call, and I thought maybe I had been forgotten. I called back and spoke to the same employee. She remembered my name, which is nice, but when I asked about speaking to a manager, she really couldnt give me a straight answer. She just said the manager would be in "later", but at this time it was already 7:30pm. I never did receive that call, and at this point Im very disenchanted.

Meilleur sushi au monde!!! Un génie de la cuisine!!! It’s a must go restaurant in Miami!!! I travel all over and have had sushi in several places. This place was recommended from a local friend and it did not disappoint. I have been here twice in the past year and the sushi is absolutely the best I have ever had. This is an amazing sushi restaurant and every dish is a wonderful experience. The restaurant is small, reservations are a must! We got to the restaurant a little before our reservation; there is a small waiting area by the sushi bar just to the left of the entrance. We were offered a beer while we waited...very much appreciated... You can choose to eat at the bar where you can watch the chef work or sit at a table. The service is fast and friendly; the waiters know their sushi and explain every plate they bring. All in all...if you try this place once...you will be hooked for life!

Ive been to other Miyako locations and have always had great service/food. This Doral location is the worst restaurant ive been to in a while. I came here for lunch with a coworker and after an hour we still hadnt even gotten our appetizers. We had to go back to the office so we asked the manager for our meal to go. When we paid the bill we noticed she had included gratuity which I found highly unprofessional once we told the manager we werent happy with the service. Not only that, but one of the waitresses was toting around her crying child as she was waiting tables. Once I actually ate the food back in my office I was not impressed at all by the quality. Maybe I went on a bad day since this location has surprisingly great reviews, but I know I personally will never go back to this Miyako location.

I almost didnt write about this place for fear of making it more popular. I want to keep it to myself. So close to my office, I came here almost everyday for a week when I first discovered it. This is my all time favorite place for sushi. The fish is extremely fresh and the potions are huge. Staff are remarkably helpful and always willing to make adjustments to accommodate. I see a lot of people complaining about the service because of the waiting time, ITS FRESH SUSHI, PEOPLE! Handcrafted, prepared fresh to order, so normally in peak hours will take longer then rice and beans or burger. You can go to publix or order sushi runner and get a 3 days sitting sushi box right the way or like I do ordered on online to go and picked up or just eat there!

Read a review on another site about how after placing their order and waiting for ~25 minutes, the waitress returned only to tell us there was an issue with the system and that she had to retake our order. We ended up waiting about an hour and 30 minutes for our meal. Whats funny, is that what happened to us identically matched what happened to the customer in the review we read, so this was not an isolated incident. As for food, it was average at best. One of us had ordered a chicken teriyaki that arrived cold, we also had issues (Despite repeating it) with our order and one of us received a completely different plate from what they ordered. Wouldnt recommend to anyone, wish the food was half as good as how the place looked.

New Ownership = Total Transformation. This place was okay before. Decent sushi, but nothing to write home about. The hype is warranted. I used to work in a sushi restaurant and this is the best quality I have EVER had, EVER! Place is packed, which is not surprising. This place is amazing! The chefs and waitresses are very attentive and pay attention to detail. The plates were cleared almost immediately, our drinks were always full, and the chefs were very patient in awaiting the next order. I never felt rushed or pressured to order. Anyways, the quality of fish is consistently fresh and delicious. Again, this restaurant is on point in consistency of food and service. So many reasons to return...

It was the Best Valentines Day Dinner I have ever had. The portions were right and the food quality and preparation were excellent. It was a 7 course menu and it had no flaws in any part of it. The best part was only $120 per couple; I added 2 hours of unlimited Champagne for only $20. Total we had a blast; we ate like gods, drank like angels and thank you for the rest of the night. I cannot wait to see what this restaurant is going to do next, but I will be back soon.

Hands down, the best sushi I have ever tasted. Creative Latin fusion done well by chefs who care about how their food is presented. I was staying that the Hampton Inn oaxvernight and was not expecting much from this tucked away, strip mall restaurant. The Acivichado roll is beyond description, it tastes amazing with a citrus sauce. Well worth a visit with a friendly atmosphere. My only criticism is that the AC was set way too cold.
